For removing tan: - Mix two tablespoons of honey with a few drops of lemon juice and apply it on the affected area once or twice in a day. Apply the mixture for 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water. - Prepare a paste adding equal quantity of milk powder, lemon juice, almond oil and honey. Apply it on affected portions and keep for at least 20 minutes. This can be prepared and stored for a week. - Sugar is considered as the best cleansing agent. Apply a mixture of sugar and lemon juice on your face and wash it after 20 minutes. If you have dry skin, add a few drops of glycerine to the mixture. mixture of gram flour, lime juice and curd to get a glowing skin. But one can use the mixture regularly to get rid of tanning. - Fresh coconut water makes the skin soft and fair. Using it twice a day on hands and face can prove beneficial. - Apply a mixture of rose water, cucumber juice and a dash of lemon juice once a day. Lemon juice helps reduce the tan while rose water and cucumber work as cooling agents. - Buttermilk soothes and softens the skin. Make a pack by mixing a tablespoon of oats with buttermilk and apply it on your face or body to get rid of tan. Oats also help in exfoliating the skin so this mixture is extremely beneficial. Also, take homoeopathic Rx- Sulphur 200/ one dose once a week for a month (do not repeat it after that) and give me your feedback.

Causes and Symptoms of Seborrheic Dermatitis

MD, DNB, FIDP, FIL
Dermatologist, Mumbai
Causes and Symptoms of Seborrheic Dermatitis

Seborrheic dermatitis refers to a kind of chronic skin rash affecting the scalp or face of a person. It has symptoms similar to that of eczema. Excess oil and greasiness could lead to this condition. This is a commonly noticed condition among children and adults. Seborrheic dermatitis is characterized by red patches, persistent dandruff, and flaking skin. This kind of skin disorder needs immediate treatment as neglecting the upsetting signs can turn out to be fatal; you may face a neurological breakdown after suffering for days together.

Take a look at the causes of Seborrheic Dermatitis

  1. This skin disease could develop in response to psoriasis. Inflammatory responses often result in reddish patches on the skin.
  2. Malassezia could cause Seborrheic Dermatitis. Malassezia is a type of yeast present in the oil secretions of a human body.
  3. Such a condition could be worsened by the predominant weather conditions. Extreme winters or early spring can make your skin peel off.

Symptoms a person may face:

  1. The first and foremost symptom is red colored skin. The skin will appear as itchy and tender.
  2. A stinging sensation is experienced in affected areas. The pain could be serious enough to prevent you from working or resting.
  3. The eyelids of a person are at times under threat. This condition is more popularly known as blepharitis. The skin of your eyelids becomes red and crusted.
  4. Dandruff can be found on your beard and moustache and even on your eyebrows.
  5. Oily, flaky skin can be found on the scalp, ears, face, chest, armpits and also on the scrotum.

Skin disorders are taken lightly by most people. Many fail to realize how important skin is to the rest of our biological system. Skin is the primary barrier to all kinds of infections and diseases. A person should be aware of possibilities that can happen to trigger a skin condition like Seborrheic Dermatitis. Poking acne or scratching the skin of one's face, diabetes or obesity, psychological trauma, and weak immunity as noticed among patients of pancreatitis can actually increase your risk of contracting this disorder.

I am 20 years old male, since one year in my bellybutton white cotton like material is coming. What is this? what treatment should I take?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
I am 20 years old male, since one year in my bellybutton white cotton like material is coming. What is this? ...
Hello, it's normal to get navel lint in many males. Navel lint (also known by names such as navel fluff, belly button lint, belly button fluff, and dip lint) is an accumulation of fluffy fibers in the navel cavity. This lint is an accumulation of cloth fibers that are scraped by body hair. The reasons for its accumulation in the navel are a subject of speculation. A likely hypothesis is that rubbing of navel hairs and clothing contributes to a build-up of static electricity, resulting in the collection of clothing fibers and to a lesser extent, dead skin cells.

I am feeling mysterious diffuse pain and discomfort in mine left breast. Nothing positive on investigations and test. All of a sudden this diffuse pain and discomfort troubles me alot. Few say. At the age of 45 setting of breast may be the cause. Or perimenopause symptoms. But really. The pain and discomfort I feel and face. Is unbearable. At that time it seems. As if I am not even able to breath properly. What can be the reason. How to get rid of this trouble or got it treated.

DNB, DGO, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Ghaziabad
Reasons for such a pain can be many, from gastritis to angina or heart problems, lump in the breast etc. Please get yourself checked up to find out the exact cause. Heart check up is important. Also, get a mammography done, which is a special x ray of breast. It is advised for all women after 45 years of age to detect any signs of breast cancer early.

How to get fairer skin nd avoid dark circle. please suggest smethng I have dry skin.

MD - Dermatology

How to get fairer skin nd avoid dark circle. please suggest smethng I have dry skin.
Lot of things to do. Soaps vil dry out your skin, so they r an absolute no. No vigorous rubbing of skin on face or body. Before bath, oil body with any oil be it coconut, olive. Use a soap free body wash or a dermatologically tested medical soap. After bath, pat dry within three minutes and apply moisturiser. Include dry fruits like almond, walnuts, figs, groundnuts. Have plenty of salmon, mackerel and sardine. Drink two litres of water. Have roasted flaxseeds. Use loose cotton clothes. Avoid woollen clothes directly on body. Use it over cotton clothes if required. Dark circles can occur if you don't get adequate sleep, so make sure you get at least a six hour sleep. Don't rub your eyes since this can aggravate darkness. Eye cosmetics vil harm a lot, so keep away. If you have any dust allergy, get it treated. Spent less time with a computer. Correct any anaemia if present. Have green leafy vegetables. Sunlight damages skin, it's color and texture. Uv rays enter even through the window. So make sure to use sunscreen everytime both inside and outside. Avoid cosmetics. Use cold water to wash face with a mild cleanser. Remove soap from your armamentarium. Make sure to have plenty of tomatoes and oranges. Vitamin c supplements vil help you. It's very important to b stress free. Don't use scrubs for your face, it'll grow more dark.

Certain factors predispose for recurrent infection like diabetes, compromised immunity etc. Get your blood sugar, hemogram checked. Certain other investigations can be advised only after detailed evaluation and discussion of symptoms etc. Nutritional deficiencies also should be rectified. Have a balanced diet with more amount of green vegetables, pulses and fruits. A course multivitavins etc can be taken if required. Also confimation of whether what you r calling as boils are actually boils or some other infection can only be made after clinical evaluation.

Hello lybrate-user. According to ayurveda llipoma problems is related to bad metabolism means if food is not properly digested than all dhatus are not forming uniform and these lipoma forms due to malformation of maans dhatu. So we have to correct metabolism. For that lahsun or garlic is very effective. You can take one one garlic kali two times with warm water. Also take trifla churna 3-3 gm with honey and warm water after food. Avoid maida, fried food, fast food, curd, sweets, excersise and sleep imediatly after food etc. Continue these medicines for six months. Also do some yoga, pranayam.
