First you should follow low calories food for weight loss. * in morning, take 1-2 chapattis with a bowl of cooked green vegetables. You can take a glass of lemon water with it *in lunch you can take a bowl of raw vegetables like carrot, radish, tomatoes, turnip or beetroot. *in evening, you can take a cup of green tea only with some pieces of friuts like apple, pineapple, pear. Avoid taking banana or mango. *in dinner, you can take vegetable soup or a bowl of cooked vegetables. But do not take potato, sweet potatoes. * you can take a cup skimmed milk 4 times a week only during day time. * work out for atleast 1 hour in morning, you can try skipping for 15minutes with a walk of 30 minutes and 5-10 minutes running. Follow these exercises in the morning - * lie down on flat surface, raise your legs without bending your knees, do it for 3-5 times daily * do not eat fastfoods and soft drinks, as they have high calories and the calories deposit in body in the form of weight if not utilised. * you can take medohar guggalu 1 tablet daily for quick weight loss but only under the guidance of ayurveda expert. Hi lybrate-user here are 6 ways to gain weight healthily: 1. Eating 5 to 6 meals a day in order to gain weight, start eating 5-6 meals a day by breaking them into parts. Eating a lot at once may cause indigestion if the body fails to absorb all nutrients. Eat in small amounts, even if you are not hungry and there will be an increase in appetite from day to day. The aim should be to have a generously portioned breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as two to three snacks in between. 2. Start weight training if you build your muscles through weight training, it will convert the extra weight into lean body mass and also stimulate your appetite. The extra muscle increases the rate of metabolism. When you start exercising you will often experience extreme muscle soreness but it goes away in 3-5 days. 3. Load up on protein besides weight training, a protein-rich diet can help you gain mass. Eating a meal heavy in protein shortly after finishing exercise can be highly effective in adding extra pounds to your body. However, a diet focused only on lean protein is not helpful. It is important to make sure that your diet has plenty of fat in it. Eat foods rich in protein like cheese, meat, eggs, etc to gain weight in a healthy manner. 4. Workout your entire body a lot of people focus only on training the muscles on their arms, chest and shoulders and this is a grave error. Firstly, it will give you a disproportionate body; and it will make you prone to injuries. Therefore, it's important to work out the entire body for a complete and balanced look. 5. Drink your calories to reach the calorie requirement only by eating may be tough. Drinking milk, milkshakes or protein shakes with little or no sugar can be an effective way to load up on the calorie requirements. 6. Be patient and believe in yourself gaining weight quickly in a healthy manner is unrealistic. Every body type is different and it takes months to gain weight. Living healthy by eating the right diet will increase your strength. It is also important to keep following the routine even if you don't see any gains. Caution: junk food and fried foods must be avoided; although have a tendency to add more fat to your body but are very low in vitamins and minerals which are essentially required to keep you really fit.

Hi, at 13 years of age more than any supplement a good, healthy nutritious diet is required for growth of height and weight. make sure you have plenty of calcium rich foods in your diet - milk, curd, paneer, Rajma, banana, ragi, green leafy vegetables etc. for good absorption of calcium in the body presence of vitamin D is important. make sure theres daily sun exposure in the morning bet 7 am to 10 am for atleast 20 mins. in foods it's present in small quantities in milk, eggs, nuts. have fresh fruits and salads, a mix of Nuts daily to get good dose of vitamins and minerals.

3 Ways Ayurveda Heals Diabetes

3 Ways Ayurveda Heals Diabetes

Diabetes is highly common health issue in India. Your blood sugar levels increase beyond the normal levels and cause other related problems like swelling, frequent urination, nausea, heart ailments etc. Conventional drugs can only control the symptoms, but cannot help the person to completely get rid of diabetes. However, here are some suggestions from Ayurveda that can help you in treating your diabetes in a way that it will never return.

  1. Food habits: Try avoiding foods that are high on sugar and whatever you eat, do not eat it all at once. Eat in small portions spread over the day. Limit carbohydrate and fat intake in your diet; instead try to consume whole grain foods and vegetables.
  2. Lifestyle changes: Avoid alcohol, drugs and smoking. Sleep soundly and sufficiently. Maintain your body weight and take care of your health by getting routine checkups done for sugar and other possible ailments that may be underlying causes of your diabetes.
  3. Must Do's: Practice a healthy lifestyle by undertaking regular exercise and yoga. Practice medication and go out for a walk at least once in the day. Also, make it a habit to mix half a tablespoon of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of amla powder with half a tablespoon of methi seeds and consume it every day. Incorporating these habits in your lifestyle would definitely help you in getting rid of diabetes.

I have a desk job and my weight has gone up by 75 kgs in last 2 years. What should I do.

I have a desk job and my weight has gone up by 75 kgs in last 2 years. What should I do.
Although a desk job you have to take out time for some exercise. I know being a professional it is very difficult but nothing is impossible. You should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p. M. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Hi lybrate-user, for loosing weight, along with exercises, you need to have Healthy meals as well. You can do cardio, squats, planks ,and weight lifting, Also can go for interval training. But it's difficult to achieve desired weight loss goal only with exercises. That too in 15 days! You can connect with me for customized diet plans. Warm water with lemon juice helps in weight loss if taken early morning, empty stomach. If you add honey, extra calories will be added ,so better to avoid it.
