Food to reduce high triglyceride level. I have high triglyceride. How can I reduce it.
Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that occurs naturally in all parts of the body. Your body needs some cholesterol to work properly. But if you have too much in your blood, it can combine with other substances in the blood and stick to the walls of your arteries. This is called plaque. Plaque can narrow your arteries or even block them. High levels of cholesterol in the blood can increase your risk of heart disease. Your cholesterol levels tend to rise as you get older. There are usually no signs or symptoms that you have high blood cholesterol, but it can be detected with a blood test. You are likely to have high cholesterol if members of your family have it, if you are overweight or if you eat a lot of fatty foods. You can lower your cholesterol by exercising more and eating more fruits and vegetables. You also may need to take medicine to lower your cholesterol. High LDL high cholesterol put you on a higher risk of atherosclerotic diseases and heart attacks especially if you have other is factors including hypertension diabetes or a history of smoking so I would advise you to continue / start taking statins which are cholesterol medications the dose of which depends upon your cholesterol levels also you need to start changing your dietary habits and include a regular physical exercise at least 45 minutes a day 5 days a week into your schedule nonetheless you have to stop taking fatty and junk food good luck.

Every human being there heart re left side so my question is why? Why not right side.
This is the way god has created us, btw heart is in centre but tilted towards left but some individuals are borne with a heart on right side & they remain normal or carry as much heart risk as rest of us do.

Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

Homocysteine is found to be resposible for severe hardening of arteries despite of normal cholesterol level thus increasing the risk of developing heart disease.

What is homocysteine?

It is an intermediate by- product that we produce when our bodies break down an essential amino acid called methionine. Methionine is found in large quantities in meat, eggs, milk, cheese, white flour, canned foods and highly processed foods. Our body need methionine to survive. Our body normally convert homocysteine into either cysteine or back to methionine again.
Cystenine & methionine are benign products and are not harmful in any way, but the enzymes needed to break down homocystine into cystine or back to methionine need folic acid, vitamin b12 and vitamin b6 to do their job. If these vitamins are deficient then levels of homocysteine in the blood begin to rise and so as the risk of developing heart disease.

Going vegetarian and eating lots of fruits and vegetables to fulfill the requirement of vitamin b group is easy way to keep your heart healthy.

The rise of blood sugar can happen due to many reasons. Please review the health of you mother again (carry all the past reports also) so that the doctor can analyse keeping in mind the past history and treatment given and diagnose the problem and provide solutions accordingly. It is very important to go for regular health check up and do some tests to keep everything in the right perspective. Let her adapt a healthy lifestyle so that she depends less on medicines and lead a normal life. Do not worry but discuss your concerns with the doctor. You also have the option of second opinion if you are not satisfied with the doctor's opinion. Please revert later with all the details.
