Hello sir, persistent feelings of stress, tiredness, loss of interest, loneliness & sleeping difficulties is suggestive of depression. Now, the simplest solution to depression, tension, anxiety & similar problems ; is a proper course of medicines & certain lifestyle changes ranging from as simple things including a proper course of medicines to get rid of this problem plus meditation & daily 30 minutes jogging to more complex things as structured diary writing, thought recording etc. For further help including medicines, you can revert back. I think you are feeling stuck and you are feeling helpless and hopeless. I do not think that you have any mental disorder. You said you are in big trouble. By eating rat poison, by will be in bigger trouble. Suicidal attempt will not solve your problem. Instead, please discuss your troubles with someone you trust. You need to find support from your relatives or friends. If that is not possible please talk to a counsellor.

Loosing is nature principle no body is exception for this. Ok do not think too much about the incident. Better to change the place some more time. It gives very good refreshment. Or other wise develop busy work schedules. Make friendship with the same age who lost to you. Make your own channel to entertain yourself. Do not feel and think about the depression. Ok.

Dear lybrate user lybrate-user, the word depression is becoming very common now a days, any one who feels any problem at any time says I am depress. Ups and downs are part of life, but you are not feeling well then this is matter for concern and you need proper solution for this please take help of any professional regarding this. If you need my help you can contact me. Lets come to your problem now --try to make yourself busy, as much you will make yourself busy you will not get time to think on any unnecessary topic. Make some new friends, join any hobby class, try something new because according to many research when we find something new intresting we forget everything for some time its just like hangover. You can practically feel this, remember first time when you got your mobile how much you were intrested. The moral of the story is do something new whatever you find new and intresting but do atleast any something so that your brain should be in motion. Take care.

You are suffering from poor self-confidence and poor self-image. There is abnormal fear and it could do with some contribution from your upbringing. Perhaps you experienced strict parenting; or you were intimidated by dire consequences for failure; perhaps you were brought up believing that you were not as good as others; perhaps you were forced to show undue regard for elders and felt inferior around them, etc. You must immediately seek help from a counselor. In the meantime you must do certain things to build your constitution physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body’s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Any way what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart’s fitness; meditation for the brain’s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again. You need to attend personality development courses, personal grooming courses, conversational skills courses, and definitely a good education will empower you to boost self-confidence and by default self-image. Learn never to compare yourself with others: you are unique and there is only one of your kind, ever. If you let that sink in and appreciate who you are truly, you will go places. By the way a little fear during interviews and meetings helps you prepare better but do not let it intimidate you.

Do not lose heart. These are quite common symptoms at your age. You are not satisfied with your life. If you can pursue something of your choice then it is fine. If not, best thing would be to gradually start a routined life in which there is exercise, reading and meditation. You will slowly build up your will power and your life will get a direction. Pursue a hobby and try to see where your interest lies. Last but not the least, be positive. That is the key to being happy and excelling in life.

3 Types of Psychiatric Disorders That Can Be Passed To You in Genes

The risk of a mental illness increases if one or more of your family members have a mental disorder, but this increased risk doesn't guarantee that you will develop a mental illness. Not only have some mental illnesses been found to be hereditary in nature, but certain studies have found that some major mental illnesses can be traced to the same genetic variations.

Some hereditary psychiatric disorders are:

1. Obsessive compulsive disorder


Obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD is a disorder of the brain and behavior. A person suffering from OCD has uncontrollable, recurring thoughts and behaviors they cannot stop repeating. Ocd also causes severe anxiety in such people. In 2000, a study conducted by researchers in Washington d. C. And Baltimore concluded that having one or more ocd family member (s) may increase the chances of you developing it too. In 2010, a study tracked down possible chromosomes that may be responsible for OCD.

2. Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a chronic mental illness that affects and dictates how a person feels, thinks and behaves. Those suffering from schizophrenia may lose touch with reality and experience delusions, hallucinations, thought disorders and movement disorders. It has been seen that people who have an identical twin with schizophrenia are 50% more likely to develop the disorder and those who have one parent suffering from schizophrenia are 18% more likely to inherit the illness.

3. Depression

Major depression or clinical depression is a common though severe mood disorder. It is characterized by an episode of sadness or apathy along with other symptoms that last at least for two consecutive weeks. Those suffering from depression may feel helpless and worthless, lose all interest in daily activities or activities they used to enjoy and feel unable to take part in normal day-to-day activities. Other symptoms of depression also include sleep pattern and appetite changes, chronic fatigue, concentration or focus problems and physical discomfort. Some patients with depression may become suicidal.

In 2011, a study pinned down a specific chromosome that may trigger depression development. Research on the hereditary properties of depression within families shows that some people are more prone to develop the disorder than others. If you have a parent or sibling that suffers from depression, you might be 1.5 to 3 times more likely to develop depression than those who do not have a close family member suffering from this condition. You are also more prone to developing bipolar disorder in such a scenario.

Me and my boyfriend are together since from 1 yrs. Before we were completely compatible with each other but now situation has changed. Now he don't trust me anymore. Before when we engage in relation he use to tell me that he don't like small stuff to be done like if I forgot to tell him that i am going outside he gets angry. And yes he is my second boyfriend but I never hide anything about my ex boyfriend I informed every thing about how we engage in relation and how he left me. But still my current boyfriend always involve in past talks. And always remind me about my past and again fight begins. I don't know what to do. If I say any thing wrong to him so he will say ok dis is only left and all. I always hide things just to avoid fight. He left me saying I broke his trust just because I told him half truth that I am going outside with my mom. I dint informed him that I am even having exam. He always told me tell me whatever is there let it be but tell me truth what if I get angry but tell me truth but I ignored this just because I don't want fighting but now situation is hectic he wants to leave me. He don't want to listen to me. He just want to leave me by saying that I broke his trust. But thats not true I really love him and I want him as my future. Now he want me to say something valid to stop him and comeback in life again. Please suggest me some solution what should I do to convince him to again come back in my life.?

We should find out what is bothering him to engage in fight with you always. There might be this: 1. He might have got a new relationship better than this 2. He might have seen something which you were hiding would have hurt him more 3. He would have started suspecting you for some trivial issues that might have developed out of possessiveness he had on you. Now he needs to come down to understand the situation or open up his problem he found in you. If he is not trying to have a good relationship with you then you need to settle the fire. If he is not all ears to reform the relationship it is better to give him some time to understand you. Focus on your studies or work whatever, try to distract urself from the stress. The fire will settle on its own. Do not worry.

Heavy pot smokers in studies score lower than non-users on tests of memory, attention, and learning. The more they smoked, the worse they did. The effects of smoking pot may be even more pronounced in teenage smokers than adults, because teens' brains are still developing. Regular users are more likely to be diagnosed with schizophrenia, especially when they have a family history of the condition. Other Health Effects Marijuana can have effects beyond the lungs and brain. These include: Anxiety Depression Fast heart rate Increased risk of heart attack (within the first hour after smoking) Suicidal thoughts in teens It is Addictive. People who stop smoking pot don't have the same withdrawal symptoms -- like anxiety and sweating -- they'd get if they were addicted to a drug like heroin. Yet those who use marijuana all the time can have a hard time stopping.

My wife gets irritated very often .gets disturbed by anybody coming to home. She always has fear from others .her behaviour is suddenly changes. She can talk about any issue for long duration. Without stopping. She has no control on her emotions. She has very innocent mind. But on disturbance she talks very abusive language.

Dear lybrate user, there has to be some strong reason behind her fear. Talk to her what is so fearful about other people coming home? encourage her to talk about what she starts thinking about when someone is visiting your home. Try to understand her thoughts and feelings. Does she feel tired, scared, bored, used, judged, taken for granted etc. Then see how you can help her to modify her thoughts. See if she needs any kind of support from you. About her behavioural changes, it appears to me that your wife has learnt this behaviour from her parents/grandparents/teachers etc. Probably she thinks that it is ok to behave like this. She is not realising how distressing it is for you. Firstly, when she is not angry, talk to her and try to learn more about her parents and their way of showing their anger or frustration. You will get some clue. Then you can show her that she is also expressing her displeasure or anger in the same way and it hurts you. You may tell her a few other alternatives to express anger - like what you do when you get angry or frustrated. The abusive language also she must have learnt in her childhood. Ask her to make conscious efforts to use alternative and mild words. Tell her how her abusive language impacts other people and ultimately her relations with them. You will need little patience. But once you make her aware of these things she will know that she is hurting others and there are better ways to express negative feelings. All the best.

I am 47 year old man. I did my check up 1 year earlier. My Vitamin B12 level is 173.0 pg/ml, and one year before my blood ESR was 63.0 mm/hr (after that I did not medicine). My serum triglyceride level were 234.1,(after that I did not take medicine). My Vitamin D3 level was also very low. I took 3 or 4 injections each for Vitamin B12 and D3 and then stopped. Some vitamin B12 and D3 medicines were also taken for a month later this , I got sleep disorder and it continued for 2 months. Now my energy levels are very low, I get tired easily. I also breath very fast after climbing stairs of 2 floor building. I perspirate a lot and also on my forehead, I get lots of perspiration. Please suggest me some diagnose with medicine and other treatment so that my energy levels come back and I do not get tired, physically and mentally quickly. I was having lots of stress and one doctor suggested me that low energy and chest pain (swelling of muscles at left side of chest) is due to psychosomatic disorder but I do not agree with him completely and hence I am taking second opinion.

Superficial knowledge in medicine is dangerous. The problems and the symptoms you have described are not that bad. It seems to me that you are exaggerating the conditions by thinking it over and gathering knowledge about the conditions you have, thereby torturing yourself. Just forget all those nonsense. Try to have a positive outlook and attitude. Go for a brisk walk for 50 minutes at a stetch everyday. Try yoga therapy with satvic food (green leaf, veg and fruits), avoid oily, spicy, salty and sugars at any form. You will certainly get a rejuvanated life in a month.

What level of quality do you need? What standards do you need to follow? What constraints are there? If the rules aren’t clear from the outset, you will slip out of concentration as you ponder them later. 6) Set a Deadline Deadlines have both advantages and disadvantages when trying to force concentration. A deadline can make it easier to forget the non-essential and speed up your working time. If you give yourself only an hour to design a logo, you will keep it simple and avoid fiddling with extravagant designs. Time limits have disadvantages when they cause you to worry about the time you have left instead of the task itself. 7) Break down Roadblocks Roadblocks occur whenever you hit a tricky problem in your work. This can happen when you run out of ideas or your focus wavers. Break down roadblocks by brainstorming or planning on a piece of paper. Unless your work is based on other people they will only break your focus. Create a private space and refuse to talk to anyone until your work is finished. Put a sign on your door to steer away drop-ins and don’t answer your phone. 9) Healthy Body, Sharper Mind What you put into your body affects the way you concentrate. Nobody would expect peak performance if they showed up drunk to work. But if you allow yourself to get chronic sleep deprivation, overuse stimulants like caffeine or eat dense, fatty foods your concentration will suffer. Try to cut out one of your unhealthy habits for just thirty days to see if there is a difference in your energy levels. I’ve found even small steps can create dramatic changes in my ability to focus. 10) Be Patient Before I write an article, I often sit at my desk for a fifteen or twenty minutes before I put finger on the keyboard. During this time I feel a strong urge to leave or do something else. But I know that if I am patient, I’ll stumble upon an idea to write about and enter a state of flow. Without a little patience, you can’t take advantage of flow when it rushed through you. If you need strong concentration I recommend periods of 90-120 minutes. Any less than that and you will waste too much time getting started before the flow can continue. More than this is possible to sustain focus, but you will probably benefit from a quick break. My husband age 26, is additiced by smoking. He take more than 5 to 6 cigrate in a day. N not ready to eat chewingums because of tambacoo smell in it. N want quit but he cannot quit because of his ofc environment. Please any thing else which will work.
