Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Getting cheated is our mistake. He was the reason. He got things wrong and had wrong perception about those people who cheated him. He needs to understand this first. He should come back to life somehow and live normal. He needs counselling and motivation therapy. Take care.

How Workout is the Best Way to Get Over Your Anger?

How Workout is the Best Way to Get Over Your Anger?

Anger is an ordinary and is an expressed reaction to an attack, perceived danger or fear. It has been very useful in our struggle for survival. The brain distinguishes the danger and the body is provoked and energized to respond with battle or fight. Once in a while, obviously, it gets out of hand. A few people, unmistakably, see dangers where there are none or where the risk is negligible. Their bodies get provoked improperly. They could use some assistance in understanding the signs that trigger their reactions and discover approaches to improve control.

Health problems: There are some individuals who encounter so much anger that they cannot control their drive to strike out at other people. This is isolated and separated from the issue of alcohol and medication misuse. It is imperative to recall that in case that you are a person who effectively gets angry and has outbursts, you can hurt your health.

Aerobics: Many of us are aware of the advantageous impacts that workout has on one’s well-being and health. Various studies exhibit that every day exercise, particularly a program that includes aerobic exercise, can counteract or lessen feelings of anger or depression. Aerobic exercises, much like cardio activities, such as running, brisk walking, swimming and bike riding gets a person out of breath while expanding the pulse and heart rate.

Muscle relaxation: Muscle relaxation requires you to concentrate on straining and unwinding specific muscle groups in your body, so that it can divert you from your sentiments of anger. Moreover, it is great for mitigating nervousness and pressure, which can likewise ease angry emotions. This activity additionally attempts to help you rest when your emotions are running high. Concentrate on a specific muscle group, for example, the muscles in one hand. While breathing in profoundly and gradually, crush the muscles as hard as you can and keep up that pressure for five seconds. For instance, straining your hand muscles would include shaping a tight clench hand. Concentrate on that gathering of muscles and make an effort not to unintentionally tense the surrounding muscles.

30 minutes: There is a lot to be gained even from a 30 minute routine at the gym, in the recreation center or at home. If you have any sort of medical condition, or if you are not sure about the condition of your health, you must consult your doctor. When you get medicinal freedom for activities, it helps arranging and using a work out timetable of no less than thrice each week.

All things considered, you do not have anything to lose except excess weight, depression and now, perhaps even anger. Along these lines, in case that you need to better deal with your anger as it emerges, a great workout might be the correct approach.

I have a two years old baby plus work load of my house hold. While I want to study with fresh mind. please give me some suggestions. Thank you.

Ph. D - Psychology, Professional Certified Coach
Psychologist, Ahmedabad
First of all congretulations on perusing your study after the baby. It shows both your love for progress and your commitment. I am sure you might be feeling that 24 hours in a day are less for you. And you might be surprised by my recommendation. Once you try it you will know it works. So few things I would like to strongly recommend 1. Engage in some kind of exercise daily for may be 20 minutes to begin with. If you haven't been working out then you could start with something very simple. As simple as walking will also work. And slowly you increase the intensity and time both. Exercise will help you with both blood circulation and oxygen intake. Result would be more energy and positivity in your day. 2. Do some kind of relaxation exercise daily. May be 10 minutes of meditation. Just sit with your eyes close in a comfortable position. And as you breath focus on your breath. Feel it going in and coming out. Thoughts are going to come. Remember thoughts are like a waves. It comes and it goes. Each time you realize that thought has come just simply bring your attention back to your breath. You are not fighting with your thought. There is no judgement also. All meditations are good meditations. Just sitting quietly for 10 minutes daily will spread it's magic in your day. If you do it regularly for 2 weeks you will see its calming effect in your day. 3. I am. Sure your first priority is your baby. And then you are giving priority to your house work. Then whatever little energy you have you are giving it to your study. Try switching priority. Slowly make a shift. Decide to begin with one house hold chor that can wait. And put that time and energy into your study. That way instead of feeling exhausted when you study you have some energy. When you are fresh and positive your focus and concentration is more and that will help you finish more work in relatively less time. I do understand that it is easier said then done. You will have your own struggles. And it is equally true that if there is a will there is a way. So please remember to be kind to yourself. Instead of being harsh on yourself if something doesn't go as you wanted. Be kind and forgive yourself. Laugh instead of getting angry. If you could remember to do this even one or two times in a day to begin with. That will generate positive energy. So please take care of yourself. Once you do that taking care of others is easier. Make a little shift in your priority. When your child sleeps instead of rushing to finish household work. Make a nice cup of tea or coffee for yourself and sit down to study. When you are able to make progress in your study. I am sure you will feel good and happy. Then house hold work will not be a burden. With your baby around you can sing and dance and also do your house work. One step at a time. One day at a time. You could make major life style changes. Hope this helps feel free to take help from me if you need help making a plan and building strategy to stick to it. Wishing you very best.

I lost somebody last year and since then feel depressed and prefer keeping to myself all the time please help me.
Prefer keeping yourself is a bad attitude. It gives depressive thoughts. So better to mingle with others. Share your feelings with close friends and family members. Do not be alone. Keepe. All the time busy. Feel comfortable. Concentrate on your studies. Start your plan of action about future aspects. Do not be waste time. Time is more important in this stage. Past incidents and lost somebody we are not responsible and we cannt anything regarding this. No one exception to nature laws. We must go as per the present requirement. If we stop we lost time and our career also. So please ignore the present situations concentrate on future aspects. Best of luck. My boy.

Panic Disorder- How To Control It

Panic Disorder- How To Control It

A panic attack is an intense and sudden feeling of fear that may lead the person to lose control and fear that he is dying. The intensity of the attack normally hits for around ten minutes though the symptoms may linger on after that. It normally occurs without prior signals and is typically unrelated to any of the underlying health troubles.

Ways to Control Panic Attack Symptoms-

If you are experiencing signs of panic attacks, then it is imperative to undergo proper medical treatment to find out any deeper medical problem related to these symptoms. If there is no definite cause, which is required to be treated, then there are various ways of controlling the panic attacks.

  1. Proper education: If panic attacks are left untreated for a long time, then it may lead to panic disorder, which includes frequent and recurrent panic attacks within a short span. So, it is important to have proper knowledge for combating panic disorders. You will have to understand how the fear centre of the brain works in order to recognise what panic disorder is. It is imperative to understand that the signs of panic disorder have no connection with any severe illness.

  2. Calm breathing: When a person is hit with a panic disorder, it is natural to take short, shallow breaths. You will have to take control of your breath and try to create a slow stream of air within and breathe it out, which will prevent hyperventilation and an accumulation of carbon-dioxide in the blood. It is recommended to practice slow breathing in a normal state of mind, so that you have a good hold over the technique which would come in handy when a panic attack occurs. You will have to breathe in for five seconds and hold the breath for one second before you exhale it out, spanning through four seconds. Repeat the process several times until you start experiencing a soothing feel.

  3. Muscle relaxation: Then you must try to learn how to relax the body by tensing and then relaxing different muscles, which will reduce the overall anxiety and stress levels causing panic attacks. You can start working on the muscles of your feet and then slowly move on to the forehead. You will have to tighten each muscle group while taking a deep breath, hold it for a few moments and release it while breathing out.

In case you think you are suffering from a panic disorder, it is imperative to waste no time and talk to a psychologist without further delay.

I get tired and stressed daily due to office work. What must be done to stay relaxed?

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
I get tired and stressed daily due to office work. What must be done to stay relaxed?
STRESS CONTROL There are many ways to tame your stress and keep it at bay. Here are 20 tips to tame your stress today, and keep the stress monsters at bay. 1. Perform diaphragmatic or “deep breathing” exercises. 2. Lie face down on the floor and begin breathing deeply and slowly, with your hands resting under your face. Do this for five minutes. 3. Sit in a reclining chair. Put a hand on your abdomen and a hand on your chest. As you breathe, make sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down rather than one on your chest. If the hand on your abdomen is moving you are breathing deeply and slowly. 4. Try progressive muscle relaxation or “deep muscle” relaxation. Progressively tense and relax each muscle group in your body. Learn the difference between muscle tension and relaxation. 5. Meditate. Use visualization or guided imagery to help you learn to be one with your thoughts. Sit quietly with your eyes closed, imagining the sights, sounds and smells of your favorite place, such as a beach or mountain retreat. 6. Exercise regularly or take up yoga. 7. Consult a psychologist about the use of biofeedback. 8. Make time for music, art or other hobbies that help relax and distract you. 9. Learn to identify and monitor stressors. Come up with an organized plan for handling stressful situations. Be careful not to overgeneralize negative reactions to things. 10. Make a list of the important things you need to handle each day. Try to follow the list so you feel organized and on top of things. Put together a coping plan step by step so you have a sense of mastery. 11. Keep an eye on things that might suggest you’re not coping well. For example, are you smoking or drinking more, or sleeping less? 12. Keep a list of the large and little hassles in your day versus the major stressful events in your life. This helps you focus on the fact that you’re keeping track of and managing those as well as you can. 13. Set aside a time every day to work on relaxation. 14. Avoid using caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, junk food, binge eating and other drugs as your primary means for coping with stress. While they can be helpful once in awhile, using them as your only or usual method will result in longer-term problems, such as weight problems or alcoholism. 15. Learn to just say, “No” occasionally. It won’t hurt other people’s feelings as much as you think and is simply a method to be more assertive in your own life, to better help you meet your own needs. 16. Get the right amount of sleep. For most people, this is seven to nine hours a night. 17. Cultivate a sense of humor; laugh. 18. Research has shown that having a close, confiding relationship protects you from many stresses. 19. Don’t run from your problems! This only makes them worse. 20. Talk to your family and friends. See if they can help. If these tips don’t help, or you’ve tried a lot of them with little luck in better taming the stress in your life, it may be time to consider taking it up a notch. A mental health professional — such as a psychologist — can help teach you more effective methods for handling stress in a healthy way in your life. Such psychotherapy is short-term and time-limited, with a focus on helping you better deal with stress. Remember — we do have control over the stress and choices we make in our lives. It sometimes takes a little practice and effort to put some of these techniques into play in your life. But once you do so, you may be pleasantly surprised at the positive benefits you’ll receive

My seven year old child has anxiety issues—significant being too anxious about time lines and suffers from separation related anxiety, feeling of insecurity while stepping out of home or coming across surprises/uncertainties. These have made the child very reserved and unable to make friends, easily. We seek advice to rule out any ‘anxiety disorder’ trying to take roots at these early formative years of the child.

My seven year old child has anxiety issues—significant being too anxious about time lines and suffers from separation...
Separation anxiety or social anxiety start at young age only, around age 5-6 years. Your child is lying in this age group and is prone to experience anxieties due to separation from home, family or significant family member, or due to being avoidant of social contexts like school or groups. As you are saying, your child seems to be experiencing some emotional problems which you said are related to avoidant behaviors. The feelings of insecurity are quite common among children, therefore, it needs to be seen that what you are telling is any clinically significant anxiety or not. Many children develop emotional sensitiveness which makes them appear anxious. But there are various aspects to a child's behavior which can be ruled out only by detailed interviewing or observation. This is possible only when you visit a clinical psychologist for proper identification of symptoms.

You meditation and yoga Suffering unwanted anxiety is very much prevalent nowadays! It is common complaint that" I Suffer from anxiety. Please help me" Anxiety is a very normal emotion, which gives rise to feelings of nervousness every now and then. An anxiety disorder is a serious medical condition in which people experience a high degree of distress and mental trauma, which hinders a normal life. People suffering from this medical condition experience high levels of anxiety and nervousness almost all the time. Here are the cardinal symptoms that indicate you're suffering from anxiety disorder. 1. Troublesome & Excess worry - This condition prevails if you worry about the day to day activities too much on a regular basis. It is identified when you start taking too much stress about very common and routine things, related to life or work which tends to affect you in an adverse way. A noticeable sign of excessive worry can be too much fatigue. 2. Lack of Sleep/irregular, disturbed sleep - Problems in falling asleep at the right time and problems in maintaining an uninterrupted sleep are two signs that indicate you have an anxiety disorder. 3. Baseless / Irrational fears - This symptom is not generalized; instead, it is specific and subjective in relation to a particular thing or situation. The fears that are experienced under this category are sudden and unexpected in nature and there is no fixed rationale behind these fears. One may ear of death or accident or fall from a plane and so on. 4. Muscle pain - Muscle discomfort and pain is one of the leading physiological causes of an anxiety disorder. The pain felt is chronic and pervasive, and is very common among people facing situations of anxiety. If you are exposed to constant periods of anxiety, you will experience fatigue, muscle pains and lethargy or unwillingness to work. 5. Unexplained indigestion - Problems related to the digestive system are also a sign of anxiety disorder. In this case, you may face constant digestive problems accompanied by a common disorder called IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome). IBS refers to an anxiety situation in the digestive tract, which is characterized by sudden urge to defecate on eating, stomach aches, cramping, bloating, gas, constipation, and/or diarrhoea. Apart from the above-mentioned symptoms, other symptoms of an anxiety disorder include stage fright, self- consciousness, panic attacks, memory flashbacks, perfectionism, compulsive behaviours, self- doubt, and such others. Symptoms vary depending on the type of anxiety disorder, but general symptoms include: • Feelings of panic, fear, and uneasiness. • Problems sleeping. • Cold or sweaty hands and/or feet. • Shortness of breath. • Heart palpitations. • An inability to be still and calm. • Dry mouth. • Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet. Anxiety is a normal, predictable part of life. However, people with an anxiety disorder are essentially phobic about anxiety feeling. And they’ll go to any lengths to avoid it. Some people experience generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), excessive anxiety about real-life concerns, such as money, relationships, health and academics, Others struggle with social anxiety, and worry about being evaluated or embarrassing themselves. People with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) might become preoccupied with symmetry or potential contamination. The bottom line is that people can experience anxiety, and anxiety disorders, related to just about anything. Most of these steps contribute to a healthy and fulfilling life, overall. To sum up, making some basic lifestyle changes can do wonders for someone coping with elevated anxiety. Take these steps from today. 1. Take a deep breath. Deep diaphragmatic breathing triggers our relaxation response, switching from our fight-or-flight response of the sympathetic nervous system, to the relaxed, balanced response of our parasympathetic nervous system, according to, clinical psychologists, who have suggested the following exercise, which you can repeat several times: #Inhale slowly to a count of four, starting at your belly and then moving into your chest. Gently hold your breath for four counts. Then slowly exhale to four counts. 2 Be active. One of the most important things one can do to cope with anxiety] is to get regular cardiovascular exercise,” For instance, a brisk 30- to 60-minute walk “releases endorphins that lead to a reduction in anxiety.” You can start today by taking a walk. Or create a list of physical activities that you enjoy, and put them on your schedule for the week. Other options include: running, rowing, rollerblading, hiking, biking, dancing, swimming, surfing, step aerobics, kickboxing and sports such as soccer, tennis and basketball, in short just anything you can do to be physically active 3. Sleep well. Not getting enough sleep can trigger anxiety. If you’re having trouble sleeping, tonight, engage in a relaxing activity before bedtime, such as taking a warm bath, listening to soothing music or taking several deep breaths and meditation is excellent .If you’re like many people with anxiety whose brains start buzzing right before bed, jot down your worries earlier in the day for 10 to 15 minutes, or try a mental exercise like thinking of fruits with the same letter. 4. Fight an anxious thought. We all have moments wherein we unintentionally increase or maintain our own worry by thinking unhelpful thoughts. These thoughts are often unrealistic, inaccurate, or, to some extent, unreasonable. Thankfully, we can change these thoughts. The first step is to identify them. Consider how a specific thought affects your feelings and behaviours. Is it helpful or unhelpful? These are the types of thoughts you want to challenge. Therefore it is suggested asking yourself: “Is this worry real?” “Is this going to happen?” “If the worst possible outcome happens, what would be so bad about that?” “Could I handle that?” “What might I do?” “If something bad happens, what might that mean to me?” “Is this really true or does it just seem so. Then, reframe or correct that thought to make it more accurate, realistic and more adaptive. For example: “I would feel embarrassed if I tripped on the stage, but that’s just a feeling; and it won't last forever, and I would get through it.” 5. Say an encouraging statement. Positive, accurate statements can help to put things into perspective. See these examples: “Anxiety is just a feeling, like any other feeling.” and “This feels bad, but I can use some strategies to cope with it.” 6. Stay connected to others. Social support is vital to managing stress, Today, call a loved one, schedule to go to lunch with a close friend. Talking with others can do a world of good. Another option is to get together and engage in an activity that improves your anxiety, such as taking a walk, sitting on the beach or going to a yoga class. 7. Avoid Alcohol and caffeine. Managing anxiety is as much about what you do as what you don’t do. And there are some substances that exacerbate anxiety. Caffeine/alcohol is one of those substances. The last thing people with anxiety need is a substance that makes them feel more turned on, which is exactly what caffeine/alcohol does. 8. Avoid mood changing drugs. “While drugs and alcohol might help to reduce anxiety in the short term, they often do just the opposite in the long term,” Even the short-term effect can be harmful. Experts have treated countless clients whose first panic attack occurred while they were taking drugs such as marijuana, ecstasy or LSD. “Panic attacks are bad enough if you are straight and sober, so imagine how bad they are if you are high, and can’t get untied until the drug wears off.” 9. Do something you enjoy. Engaging in enjoyable activities helps to soothe your anxiety. For instance, today, you might take a walk, listen to music or read a book, 10. Take a break. It’s also helpful to build breaks into your day. As it is said, this might be a “simple change of pace or scenery, enjoying a hobby, or switching ‘to-do’ tasks.” “Breaking from concerted effort can be refreshing.” 11. Solve Problem It is suggested considering how you can address the stressors that are causing your anxiety. Today, make a list of these stressors and next to each one, jot down one or two solutions.

You will need to check that she is not suffering from some psychological problem. If she remains happy otherwise but doesnot show interest in sex, then talk to her- instead of insisting for an intercourse spend romantic time with her, talk to her a lot. If she is generally low on energy and sad, then you should consult a doctor.

I am 20 years old with 4. 9 height girl now a days I am getting depressed. how to overcome this?

Psychologist,
We would need more information like since when, depressed about what, what are your symptoms etc to help you. Yet it will be good if you see a counsellor and psychiatrist in your city. However, in depression, it is suggested that you look at the positive side of things, find meaning in whatever you consider as a loss to you, exercise a lot, take a walk in the sun, have friends and a social life who are funny, cheerful and progressive, eat healthy food, sleep on time and get up on time, have a daily plan of activities and make sure that you achieve most of it. Negative thinking needs to be challenged with counter thoughts that bring in contradicting evidence.
