Follow these simple steps to ensure a good sleep every night and stay away from sleep disorders and other health problems associated with unhealthy sleep habits: 1) maintain a regular sleep routine go to bed at the same time. Wake up at the same time. Ideally, your schedule will remain the same (+/- 20 minutes) every night of the week. A good sleep hygiene routine promotes healthy sleep and daytime alertness. 2) avoid sleeping during the daytime. It can disturb the normal pattern. 3) avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol near bedtime. While alcohol may speed the onset of sleep, it creates problems in he second half of sleep. 4) exercise can promote good sleep. Exercise should be taken in the morning or late afternoon. Yoga, can be done before bed to help. 5) have a quiet, comfortable bedroom. Set your bedroom thermostat at a comfortable temperature. Generally, a little cooler is better than a little warmer. Turn off the tv and other extraneous noise that may disrupt sleep. Background'white noise' like a fan is ok. If your pets awaken you, keep them outside the bedroom. Your bedroom should be dark. Turn off bright lights. Have a comfortable mattress. 6) avoid heavy meals close to bedtime. 7) ensure adequate exposure to natural light. 8) avoid emotionally upsetting conversations and activities before trying to go to sleep. Do not think of, or bring your problems to bed. 9) stop using all your digital devices and stop looking at digital screens be it mobile phones or televisions at least 1 hour before the time you plan to sleep. Instead try reading a fiction book near bedtime so it makes you help relaxed and de-stressed. Sleep well live healthy and live longer.

Hi, This has been a daily issue for me since the past few years, and now all of a sudden it feels it is getting worse. I have always this urge to clear my throat, and phlegm keeps building up in my throat which makes me want to clear my throat. I have seen many doctors for a solution but they seem to tell me it is just psychological. But I really don't understand how it can be psychological if I actually can cough out the phlegm, and if try their advice of not thinking about it, makes sore throat blocked resulting in coarse speech. And of course cold / sweet food items make it worse. I have a deviated nasal septum as well. If this is any helpful. I am a working professional, but very active and physically fit, play football over weekends, and try to stay in shape. Any medicines or exercises that I can go for to cure this. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user Its good you have nice understanding of your health issues. I appreciate your sensitivity. You are suffering from chronic pharyngitis and its not psychological. Previously it was called globus pharyngitis or hysterical pharyngitis. But now its called chronic pharyngitis due to some cause. The reason maybe Eosinophilia Laryngo pharyngeal reflux disease (gas trouble) Any chronic bacterial infection of throat etc. So please go to a good lab and get your absolute eosinophil count checked. Get an throat swab culture sensitivity report done if possible. I can advise you medication once I see your reports.

As you are already having son. I doubt whether you are actually azoospermic or not. Get a second report done from a reliable lab after 3 days of abstinence. Even in azoospermia pregnancy is possible by various treatment options. All the beest

My age is 23 years old. At this age I take suminat 25 or 50 mg for severe migraine 8 to 10 times a month. Is it safe?

Dear reduce migraine by *diet: good dietary habits would help an individual maintain good health and offer immunity from recurring bouts of headaches. Consuming cooked vegetables without oil should be encouraged. Have a diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Vegetable juices and soup, fruits and fruit juices including apple, mango, should be taken in ample quantities. Highly-fruit based diet for a day or two can relieve pain. Grapes, lemons, cabbage juice are especially important. Rice, salad and buttermilk can always be consumed. *yoga: simple yoga treatments have been found to serve both as an alternative and as a supplement for dealing with migraine and headaches. Yoga is known to offer both cure and immunity from headaches. Headaches caused due to tension and worry can be alleviated through deep breathing and relaxation, especially in a lying down position in a quiet place. Inverted postures, or those where the head is lowered briefly, increase oxygen to the brain and can reduce headache-causing strain. However, for those suffering from severe headache like migraine, any type of exercise can be injurious. *useful herbs -- ginger, brahmi, jatamansi.

I'm 18 years old guy and suffering from hiatus hernia. What should I do for treatment?

1.Hiatus hernia is due to the herniation of a portion of stomach into the chest cavity through the oesophageal opening in the diaphragm and causes symptoms of Gastro oesophageal reflux oesophagitis with burning sensation in chest. 2. For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and Take tablet Pan-D before breakfast on empty stomach for three months and always to take a gap of a week before starting it again only if necessary and Avoid spicy food items and not to eat junk food and we also need to avoid peanuts and potatoes in our daily diet
