Hi , as you mentioned you have tooth ache due to germs, it must be so that you ve developed cavities or gum problems which is causing the pain in the respective tooth. I would suggest you not to take self medications rather visit a nearby dentist and get the tooth checked.

Hello lybrate user, due to accumulation of plaque/ deposits on teeth your teeth appears yellowish along with bleeding gums. This is causing a bad breath. Bad breath can also be due to dry mouth, smoking, consumption of caffeinated beverages and bad digestion. Increase your water intake. Go for scaling and polishing of teeth. Use mouthwash twice daily. Rinse your mouth after every meals. Maintain proper oral hygiene.

How I can heal my cavities in my teeth.

How I can heal my cavities in my teeth.
Medication can not heal cavities. Visit the dentist and get the filling done, if the cavities are small. If they are very deep and painful, you may require root canal treatment or extraction (removal).

BDS
Dentist,
Hii, welcome to lybrate & thanks for asking your query here from the medical history you provided it seems that you have condition called recurrent aphthous ulcers however its cause is not entirely clear but it is not a serious condition and will not lead to any serious health issue taking vit. B complex is good but you need to visit a dentist to get it checked it depends upon lots of factors and needs to evaluate before making any treatment plan.

I am 26 years old male and I have toothache for last 7 month. What should I do?

A.C.C.I - Accredited and Certified Course in Implantology, MDS - Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, BDS
Dentist,
Jaw bone substitutes are costly because implants were delayed. Implants are expensive because root canal treatment (rct) was avoided. Rct is taxing because the cavities were not filled. Cavities were not filled because. The lethargy to visit a dentist every six months. Dentistry is not costly. Irresponsibility is. Preservation is the rule. Recreating is a custom. So it would be wise to go for a dental check up to a good dental specialist - who may take a dental x ray to assess your problem and advise you dental treatment plan. Please do not waste any more time.

FMAS, MS

Respected lybrate-user there is no reason for fissures tongue. Maintaining oral hygiene at its best is the solution. Always gargles after taking any food or snacks. Can do betadine gargles in water when feeling more inflammation. Thanks regards.

You are having sensitivity to cold water which may be due to a cavity in some tooth or due to some other reason. Please visit a dentist and get the cavity removed and filling or root canal treatment done. That will be decided by seeing the extent of your cavity.

How long after a tooth extraction before eating and drinking?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist,
How long after a tooth extraction before eating and drinking?
Hi, after tooth extraction you can eat an icecream as it controls bleeding also. And the day of extraction take soft food which you can easily swallow like porridge, halwa or khichdi after 2-3 hours. Do not take too hard food until it comoletely heals.

Believe dental implants are often more economical than bridges. They are more conservative, have a high success rate, preserve bone and don't decay. In my experience, patients choose bridges over, but only because of higher up front cost. Implants are not only the standard of care, but a better value as well.

What You Need to Know About Invisible Braces?

What You Need to Know About Invisible Braces?

Few people are lucky enough to be born with a set of perfectly aligned teeth. This fact and the pursuit for beautiful smile led to the development of braces. Traditional braces did help realign teeth, but are uncomfortable and affect a person's appearance while they are in use. Ceramic braces are less noticeable as the brackets are clear or tooth coloured. Invisible braces are the latest in dental realignment therapy. They are virtually invisible and are not associated with any dietary restrictions unlike the earlier forms of braces.

Invisible braces are also known as aligners. Aligners are similar to mouth guards in appearance, but are custom built to fit tightly around the patient's teeth. These slip over the teeth and are designed to be removed and replaced every fortnight. Aligners may also be removed for eating, brushing and flossing. Each set of aligners vary slightly so as to move your teeth forcefully and correct your bite.

Treatment time of invisible braces depends on how much the teeth needs to be moved. In most cases, treatment takes between 10 months to 24 months. Aligners are also often used by adults who wore braces as children to correct slight displacement of teeth. In such cases, treatment could take as little as 10 weeks.

However, not everyone can get invisible braces. Aligners are custom built to fit tightly over teeth. This makes them unfit for use on children teeth as their teeth are constantly growing and developing. This is typically used for patients suffering from mild to moderately crowded teeth or those who have minor spacing issues between teeth. It can also be used as a follow up form of treatment for traditional braces.

Invisible braces are also slightly more expensive as compared to traditional braces as they are custom fitted.

The first step towards getting invisible braces is an X-ray, dental photographs and impression of the patient's teeth, gums and bite. These are then used to create a digital 3D representation of the patient's teeth in their current positions and their desired positions. The in-between stages are then created by moving the teeth .25 to .33 millimeters in each stage. The number of intermediate stages depend on the extent teeth need to be moved. Each stage is representative of an aligner to be worn for 2 weeks. If a tooth needs to be pulled away or rotated, a small, composite attachment may be bonded to the tooth.

The biggest advantage with invisible braces is that they can be worn without making a person self-conscious.

Is bleaching of teeth harmful?

BDS (GOLD MEDALIST)
Dentist,
Is bleaching of teeth harmful?
To get rid of stains, scaling is the best option. It can be repeated after 6 months. Aling with bleaching you should take care of your oral hygiene by brushing twice daily and rinse your mouth after each meal. Avoid too much tea and coffee and tobacco products, alcohol and smoking.

Few advice to stop bleeding gums-- - visit to a dentist for professional cleaning once in a year - use a soft toothbrush -- and brush properly! brush your teeth for at least two minutes twice a day and after meals. Hard brushing can further damage the soft tissues of your mouth. - floss at least once a day and be sure to floss beyond the gum line to remove more plaque. - control bleeding by applying pressure to the area with a cold compress. - rinse with salt water to keep the area clean. - avoid mouthwashes that contain alcohol, which can dry out your mouth. - stay away from smoking and other tobacco products, which can aggravate bleeding gums.
