Hello Doctor, Can you suggest the healthy diet for a Liver cirhossis patient? Thanks, Daisy.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
The best defense against this development is to maintain a healthy diet, with a variety of fruits and vegetables. You also need protein, contrary to outdated but still circulating advice to limit this food group if you have cirrhosis. Choose lean protein, such as legumes, poultry or fish. Avoid raw seafood.A wholesome, well-balanced diet can help maintain a level of liver health or minimize further liver damage. It can also help your immune system fight off illness. Some specific things to keep in mind include the following: Avoid drinking alcohol. It damages liver cells and even a small amount can be harmful. Avoid Some foods that contain high amounts of sodium are: Table salt. Bacon, sausage, and deli meats. Canned vegetables and vegetable juice. Frozen dinners and packaged snack foods, such as potato chips and pretzels. Soy, barbecue, and teriyaki sauces. Soups.

Get tested for heart anyway by ecg and halter tests plus blood pressure and blood tests done for sugar and lipids and get back here with reports. You will get more guidance from any of us here on the forum. Eat more fiber through fresh fruits and vegetable and fruits plus eating according to constitution. Take more proteins like milk and curds. All of these items are available in the market according to seasons, take bananas as natural laxative, do take safe medicines if need be, whether ayurveda or allopathic.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

Although the gallstones cannot be removed with medicines but being a homoeopath and with an experience of 20 years besides me,I have developed certain technical medicinal combinations with which our gallstones will be removed completely but the percentage of removal of gallstones is 70% ( means if out of 100 patients ,70 patients were removed of gallstones.)This is very high percentage and I am very much confident about it.consult me if you dont want to go for surgery. You will have to purchase a package of 2+2 months ( Including medicines )from me as we cant get these medicinal combinations in market.

Limit the amount of white bread, sugar, meat, junk food and milk products (cheese, milk, butter, cream.) and increasing fresh fruits, veggies, water and fiber (beans, oats,) also yogurt really helps due to the probiotics. Maybe you could do a food diary for a period, eliminate a couple of items at a time and build up until you have added enough other of good items to make the stools loose. Oatmeal helps out tremendously. Figure out the diet and once you' ve added enough good things, slowly pull back on the laxatives and pay attention as you go. This could be a food allergy, do some research, usually its lactose (dairy), nuts, sugar, food coloring, preservatives. Try to avoid boxed and processed foods which have more preservatives, calories, fat, high carb. I hope some of this helps. Requires detailed questioning so as to ascertain your personality and to treat you symptomatically. Treatment is available, safe and without side effects in biochemic system of medication. Consult me in private.
