It's a case of undescended testis. Is your son born preterm? See there are two approaches. First wait for 6 months let child be around 10 pounds, 10gm Hb. Till that you can wait for spontaneous descent. Another is which few urologist and paediatric surgeons suggest is operation at birth. please consult a paediatric surgeon nearby you. But don't prolong it beyond 6 months.

take tab. combiflaim sos for pain. continue medicines for thyroid. High cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain.garlic,. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

Hello lybrate-user, welcome to icliniq. Painkillers will help, provided you apply warm water over the joint and do active slow movements with it. If there is swelling then apply ice.

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

MBBS, MS - Orthopaedics, Fellowship in Shoulder Surgery
Orthopedist, Gurgaon
Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery - A Guide On What To Expect?

Spine surgery is conventionally performed as ‘open surgery’, which means the region being worked on is opened with a long entry point to permit the surgeon to view and access the area. Technical and scientific advances have permitted more back and neck conditions to be treated with a less obtrusive surgical technique. The minimal invasive spine surgery (MISS) does not include a long cut, and it prevents causing damage to the muscles around the spine. As a rule, this causes less pain after the surgery and a speedier and healthy recovery.

Spine surgery is normally suggested when non-surgical treatments like medicinal or exercise based methods have not helped in lessening the excruciating symptoms of your back problem. Moreover, surgery is just considered if your doctor can pinpoint the correct reason of your pain, for example, a herniated circle or spinal stenosis.

MISS is also called less obtrusive spine surgery. In these procedures, surgeons utilise particular instruments to get to the spine through little cuts. The surgery process is as follows:

  1. During the surgery, a little entry point is made and the tubular retractor is embedded through the skin.
  2. It is also inserted into the delicate tissues down to the spinal cord.
  3. This makes a passage to the little range where the problem exists in the spine.
  4. The tubular retractor holds the muscles open and is set up all through the surgery.
  5. The surgeon gets to the spine utilising the little instruments that fit through the focal point of the tubular retractor.
  6. Any bone or disk material that is expelled goes out from the retractor.
  7. Any gadgets needed for the fusion process, for example, screws or rods, are embedded through the retractor.
  8. A few surgeries require more than one retractor.
  9. Keeping in mind the end goal to see where to put the entry point and embed the retractor, the surgeon is guided by fluoroscopy.
  10. This strategy shows ongoing X-ray pictures of the patient's spine on a screen throughout the surgery.
  11. The surgeon additionally utilises a microscope to enlarge the view through the retractor.
  12. Towards the end of the procedure, the tubular retractor is expelled and the muscles come back to their original position.
  13. This restrains the muscle damage that is more ordinarily found in open surgeries.

It is very important to talk about these risks with your doctor before your surgery or procedure.

  1. Infection: Antibiotics are consistently given to the patient some time before, during, and regularly after the surgery to reduce the danger of infections.
  2. Bleeding: A specific measure of bleeding is normal; however, this is not commonly dangerous.
  3. Pain in the grafted area: Some patients will encounter surgical pain at the bone joint site.
  4. Recurring symptoms: A few patients may encounter a repeat of their side effects.
  5. Pseudarthrosis: Patients who tend to smoke are more prone to pseudarthrosis. This is a condition wherein there is insufficient bone formation. In case that this happens, a minor surgery may be required.
  6. Nerve damage: It is possible that the nerves or veins might be harmed during these operations. These complications are extremely uncommon.
  7. Blood clots: Another complication is blood clots in the legs. This poses a threat because these clots can break off and settle in the lungs. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

Vitamin d deficency is most common in females and can easly be cured by medicine or avia healthy diet. But I believe that, this is not the reason for your problem. Either you have a nerve compression on shoulder or wrist. Either ask to your consultant for a nerve conduction test or go for minimum 15 days physiotherapy sessions to a well qualified therapist.

I have a joint pain often. My calcium count is low. What could be the relation between the two.

I have a joint pain often. My calcium count is low. What could be the relation between the two.
* calcium acts as a natural tranquillizer in our bodies. It has a calming effect on our nerves which in turn has a calming effect on our muscles and joints helping to reduce chronic pain. * the greatest function of calcium in the body is its work with phosphorus to build and maintain healthy strong bones. * muscle cramps, joint pain and an overall feeling of discomfort are actually the signs of a calcium deficiency. * apart from getting more calcium from food or supplements, simple lifestyle changes like quitting smoking, and incorporating weight bearing exercises can help to protect your bones and joints. Causes Behind Shoulder Pain!

Causes Behind Shoulder Pain!

The shoulder is one of the most important joints in the body that uses a ball and socket to join the arm to the rest of the body. Any pain can make it difficult to carry out motion in a comfortable manner. The shoulder consists of the long arm bone called the humerus, the collarbone or the clavicle, as well as the shoulder blade called the scapula. A layer of cartilage provides essential padding to the bones in this area and its two main joints. There are a number of issues that can cause shoulder pain. Let us get to know the six most common ones.

  1. Rotator Cuff Injury: This is the most common cause of shoulder pain and it occurs when the four muscles or the tendons are injured. These muscles and tendons usually control the movement of the arm. This injury can involve strains and tears which may also be caused by constant lifting of heavy objects.
  2. Rotator Cuff Tendonitis: This condition affects the tendons and muscles that help in moving the arm freely. This usually happens due to inflammation in the tendons. It is commonly experienced by patients who are actively involved in sports and other heavy physical pursuits in their line of work.
  3. Frozen Shoulder: This is a debilitating condition that restricts the free movement of the arm and is also known as adhesive capsulitis. When the shoulder tissues become too thick, it leads to the growth of scar tissue that hinders proper movement and causes pain.
  4. Osteoarthritis: Osteoarthritis is a condition that comes as part of aging bones that also become hollow and brittle over the passage of time, which leads to joint and bone pains in various parts of the body. It is a degenerative disease that is caused due to prolonged wear and tear as well as other factors including family history and sports injury.
  5. Bursitis: This condition is known to affect the fluid filled sacs that lie in between the joints. These are known as bursae. When the bursae suffers from swelling, the effect usually shows up as pain in the joints.
  6. Tendon Sheath Inflammation: The fibrous tissue that connects the bones and the muscles is called a tendon. The presence of the tendon makes it possible to pursue activities like running, jumping, lifting, gripping and more. It is protected by a sheath known as synovium, which also lubricates the same. Any injury or tear to this sheath can cause shoulder pain.

Acute and persistent pain that does not abate and gets even worse should be treated with immediate medical intervention. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an Orthopedist.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I want to know your detailed clinical history, your relevant investigations, your treatment records till now. It helps me to better understand your condition and prescribe accordingly. You have only mentioned leg pain, do you also have back pain with off and on radiation to legs, x rays will normally not show anything since it shows only bony structure and not nerves. Gabapin is drug used for management of neuropathic pain but dose depends upon your symptoms. Please also mention your co-morbid conditions and drug allergy. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena

Its important to find out the reason for bone growth. If its by birth then it can be surgically removed but if it has happened due to unequal loading of ankle then bone growth will happen again aftr surgery. Get a physio to check your walking pattern and any foot deformities.
