Diet Changes to Improve Metabolism

I am Dr.Kumar. Basically I brought this first time in India—diet as a therapy, and the title goes as appropriate diet therapy centers. We got our main office at Dadar and along with that we got about 18 centers across India. This is basically, we are seeing for years together people are suffering from most of the metabolic disorders and for that we are trying allopath, homoeopath, ayurveda, but still we are not fining any solution for acidity. So we are seeing, because it is not a disease, then it has something related to the cell, because as you know the cell become a tissue, tissue become an organ, organ becomes a system, and system becomes a body, so basically it is a degeneration at the cellular level.

So what we are trying to do with our diet therapy we are changing the diet in a scientific manner because the diet we take in India is basically a cultural diet , emotional diet, traditional diet. But our body works on a scientific principal of the PH which is basically an alkaline PH. But unfortunatelhy the food we take in India are acidic in nature. And they are responsible for destruction at the cellular level. So by changing diet we stop further damage at organic level and then we try to revive those cells by giving very specific ingredients derived from the food and that’s why we are able to find a solution.

We have been very successful stopping knee replacement, there is no need of going in to further surgery. 2nd diabetes, especially diabetes 2 is totally reversible with us. Then dialysis process is reversible, now we remove blockages without angioplasty bypass. And we are very successful in finding a solution for cancer at all stages. So this is the first time we have brought this in India and we are very very successful.

I am 21 years old. I have cycle of usually 32 days which varies after 2 months and sometimes it becomes 28 days and sometimes 30 but it is within 32 days always. I had my period on 24th June. I had unprotected sex with my husband on 3rd July. After that I had bleeding on 21st June (that means after 27 days from my last period). I did not had breast tenderness. Usually I have heavy bleeding always which lasts for at least 5 to 6 days (probably 5).But this time it was not so heavy but not so light also (much lighter than my heavy periods). It lasted for 4 days. On 6th day I had brown mucus (egg white consistency). Please tell me is it periods or implantation bleeding. I don't want to get pregnant now as I am also studying. Please reply soon.

Hi lybrate-user! the best way to know whether it's pregnancy or implantation bleed is to test for pregnancy. You can do a pregnancy test at home using the kits available in market over the counter. If you still have doubt then a blood test B Hcg or an ultrasound can be done to be sure. I think you should try a urine pregnancy test at home first and if it's negative you can relax.

Too Slow Heart Rate - Know The Reasons Behind It!

Fellowship In Electrophysiology, Fellowship In Interventional Cardiology, DM - Cardiology, MD - Medicine, MBBS
Cardiologist, Delhi
Too Slow Heart Rate - Know The Reasons Behind It!

The heart is a muscular organ and beats at regular intervals. This is known as heart rate, which indicates a person’s overall health. In a normal healthy individual, it ranges from 60 to 100 depending on overall health status. A heart rate outside of these ranges is usually a cause for concern.

Bradycardia is when the heart rate is below 60. While this could be a sign of fitness and health in some, it could also mean an underlying cardiac condition in others. Low heart rate is seen in many athletes, who normally have a heart rate below 60, with no symptoms or problems.

However, in others, slow heart rate can be an indication of an underlying heart problem. The electrical system in the heart could be affected, leading to alteration in blood supply to the heart and other vital organs. This needs further investigation and management to restore normal cardiac function.

Causes: Some of the reasons for reduced heart rate include:

  1. Normal aging process, as with all body functions, aging slows down the heart’s electrical function, leading to reduced heart rate
  2. Heart conditions like coronary artery disease, hypertension, atherosclerosis, heart attack, and infections of the heart muscles (endocarditis or myocarditis)
  3. Pulmonary conditions like sleep apnea
  4. Hormonal conditions like hypothyroidism
  5. Metabolic conditions like increased potassium
  6. Increased iron accumulation in the body
  7. Medications like beta-blockers and digoxin

Symptoms: While bradycardia does not cause symptoms in some, in others, where it has an associated medical condition, the following would be seen too:

  1. Extreme levels of fatigue, with near-fainting episodes
  2. Regular bouts of dizziness
  3. Shortness of breath with even minimal activity
  4. Weakness, tiredness, and low energy levels
  5. Chest pain bouts
  6. Lack of mental energy and confusion
  7. Memory problems

Complications: If left untreated, bradycardia can cause:

  1. Fainting spells, where the patient may just collapse in the midst of an activity
  2. Heart failure, where the heart is not able to pump enough blood
  3. Sudden cardiac death

Risk factors: If you have any or some of the following, do not ignore bradycardia.

  1. Age (more common in older adults)
  2. Hypertension
  3. Diabetes
  4. Smoking
  5. Heavy alcohol abuse
  6. High levels of emotional stress

Treatment: Once diagnosis of bradycardia and underlying disease is confirmed, treatment will be two-pronged.

  1. Correct underlying condition like hypothyroidism, electrolyte imbalance and infections.
  2. Work on managing chronic conditions like coronary disease, diabetes, and obesity.
  3. Prepare the patient to watch for episodes of bradycardia and ways to manage them.

While bradycardia per se is not a concern, other conditions should be managed so the heart keeps working to its optimal level. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Cardiologist.

it will take some effort for you to flatten your tummy. I am outlining a 21 day plan for you. If you follow this plan sincerely then you will see a noticeable difference in just 21 days. There are 5 things that you need to do: 1. Eliminate all refined sugars from your diet. This means no sugar in your tea/coffee/milk, no consumption of sugary beverages like coke, pepsi and total elimination of all snacks like biscuits, cakes, sweet dishes. I know it is difficult but remember that you just have to adhere to this for 21 days. If you wish to snack you can have unsalted peanuts, dry fruits, seeds or yogurt. 2. When you get up in the morning, put your pillow aside and lie with your back straight. Put both your legs together and lift them so your legs are at a 30 degree angle with the bed. Maintain this pose of 5 minutes. Keep breathing while your legs are in the air. 3. Eliminate dinner altogether. In place of dinner have a bowl of papaya. You can have a small bowl of yogurt with black salt if you are not able to control your urge. 4. Keep hydrated through out the day. You need to drink at least 10 glasses of water every day. Tea/coffee are not substitutes of water. Minimize consumption of milk. Add raw vegetables to each meal. 5. One 500mg tablet of Calcium D-Glucarate and one tablet of B-Complex every day. If you miss even one of the steps mentioned above during your 21 day regime then you have to start all over again from Day 1. Please bear in mind that it takes 21 consecutive days of performing all the above mentioned steps for the stomach muscles to start toning up.

Almost 100% protection can be achieved with condoms if it fits well and is used from beginning to end. It does not have any side effects on either partner. Moreover it also protects against infections which might affect fertility in the future.

PCOS- Causes and Symptoms

PCOS- Causes and Symptoms

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) is a common disease of the endocrine system among women who have attained the reproductive age. Women with this condition generally have ovaries larger in size than the usual, containing small pockets of fluids, also termed follicles. These 'follicles' develop in each of the ovaries as diagnosed with the help of an ultrasound exam. Abnormal or extended menstrual cycles, unusual growth of hair and obesity are some of the common accompanying conditions associated with PCOS. This disorder can interfere with a woman's menstrual cycles, thus making pregnancy difficult. More so, this condition can also impact the way you look and if left untreated for long, can lead to underlying disorders such as diabetes and other cardio vascular diseases.

Causes of PCOS:

  1. Excessive Insulin secretion: Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas, which allows the body cells to utilize the sugar; the most important energy store of your body. If you suffer from insulin resistance, your body's ability to utilize the insulin gets affected adversely. This forces the pancreas to secrete more insulin in order to keep up with the body's energy supply. This excess insulin might result in an increase in the production of androgen, which in turn, might interfere with the ovulation ability of the ovaries.
  2. Low- level inflammation: Inflammation is the process by which your body's white blood cells fight infections. Studies reveal that women suffering from PCOS have a low level inflammation which acts as a catalyst in the production of androgens.
  3. Can be hereditary: If you have someone in your family suffering from this syndrome, you might automatically be at a higher risk of developing this disorder.

Symptoms accompanying PCOS:

  1. Abnormal menstrual is the most commonly observed symptom. Women suffering from PCOS may have less than nine periods in an entire year and in some cases, even none.
  2. Excess secretion of male hormone, which is related to excess androgen production may result in symptoms, such as abnormal body and facial hair, acne and baldness, which is identical to that in men.
  3. Unexplained increase in weight and difficulty losing it as well.
  4. Another fairly noticeable symptom is depression.
  5. Infertility
