I have frequent vaginal itching, because of which I could’t sleep at nights. I am using V wash and Candid V gel as prescribed by the doctor. But still the itching is not reduced.

'By giving up our power
We begin to empower'

"Why are you so shy
So quiet so meek"
"Go out, be social
There's so much to seek"

"You hardly ever sit still
And then you ask for a break"
"You really need to buck up"
"Be serious for heavens sake"

"You still can't read"
"You refuse to write"
"Going at this rate
Your future isn't bright"

"What do I do with you
I haven't got a clue"
"You drive me mad"
"You make me feel blue"

"You eat and stuff too much"
"You don't eat at all"
"You are so tiny"
"You are too tall"

"Your spellings are so poor"
"Your memory is so weak"
"You suck at maths and science"
"Your future is too bleak"

No matter what kids be
No matter what they say
They never seem enough
And they must always obey

We threaten, we control
We bully and blackmail
We punish, we abuse
While they rebel or wail

We assume we know better
We say its for their good
Unknowingly, in many ways
We scar their childhood

We expect so much from them
To win and succeed
We turn them into robots
To their dreams we pay no heed

We expect, we judge
We project and we shame
All the joy and spontaneity
We kill, as we tame

What if we let them be
Take many steps back
Create a space of allowance
And cut them some slack

What if we truly listen
To their ideas, their dreams
And let them take charge
However crazy it seems!

What if we stop instructing
The talking down, the preaching
What if we let them learn at their pace
Stop pressurizing, let go of teaching

What if we could be kinder
More caring, more present
What if we do what nourishes
Create memories that are pleasant

We are not responsible
For how they turn out to be
Give their life back in their hands
They will shine, you shall see.

Hello- Vaginal bleeding after sex or foreplay can be a sign of a health condition: an infection, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), or a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as chlamydia. vaginal dryness (atrophic vaginitis) caused by reduced vaginal secretions after the menopause.

Deep Vein Thrombosis!

Deep Vein Thrombosis!

Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, is a blood clot that forms in a vein deep in the body. Most deep vein clots occur in the lower leg or thigh. If the vein swells, the condition is called thrombophlebitis. A deep vein thrombosis can break loose and cause a serious problem in the lung, called a pulmonary embolism.

Sitting still for a long time can make you more likely to get a DVT. Some medicines and disorders that increase your risk for blood clots can also lead to DVTs. Common symptoms are

  • Warmth and tenderness over the vein
  • Pain or swelling in the part of the body affected
  • Skin redness

Treatment includes medicines to ease pain and inflammation, break up clots and keep new clots from forming. Keeping the affected area raised and applying moist heat can also help. If you are taking a long car or plane trip, take a break, walk or stretch your legs and drink plenty of liquids.

Why do young people are more prone to kidney disease?

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, M.Ch - Urology
Urologist, Bangalore
Why do young people are more prone to kidney disease?

Those two, small bean-shaped organs are indeed essential for a perfectly healthy life. To check if a person is dead or living, medical practitioners need to confirm response from three organs of the human body heart, brain and kidneys. Kidneys absorb impurities from the blood, thus, purifying it and lead to the production of urine. Urine is necessary to rid your system of body wastes. Kidneys play a key role in maintaining hormone balance. The presence of any factor that could impede free functioning of this organ should be diagnosed, treated and eliminated at the earliest possible. Kidney diseases and subsequent kidney failure see no age bar. It affects both young and old people. In case of younger folks, the symptoms take years to surface and thus the chances of a fatal outcome are even higher.

Causes of kidney failure at a tender age:

  1. Chain smoking is a trigger: Smokers suffer from a higher risk of kidney failure. Smoking is a bad habit that has engulfed almost ninety percent of young adults. Irrespective of awareness programs and warning messages, there are millions who smoke nonchalantly. Smoking is known to impair kidney function which again can have frightening implications.
  2. High blood pressure levels must be controlled: Since stress is a common phenomenon among most individuals high blood pressure is also prevalent among a majority of these individuals. Younger people suffer from high blood pressure due to workplace politics and familial tensions. High blood pressure should not be taken lightly. Exercising and regular medications should be opted for in order to counter the threat of kidney failure at a young age.
  3. If you are obese, you are stepping closer to the threat: If not optimal; being close to the optimal body weight is very necessary to keep health disorders in check. If you are obese, you are not safe; one must make efforts to lose weight or else face the alarming situation when his or her kidneys fail to function properly.
  4. Consumption of junk food can cause complications: Junk food is fatty. One must keep away from high-protein and high-fat diet. Food items rich in protein and fats can push you towards chronic kidney diseases.
  5. Genetics may discern the health of your kidneys: The incidence of kidney failure in your family history can make you prone to a similar condition. Extra care should be taken to avoid any such possibility. Regular health check-ups should be undertaken. In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

Hello viewers!

Welcome you all to Auraveda Wellness Kerala City, they are located in Kalkaji. And myself is Dr. Adarsh currently working as consultant physician. Here we follow Kerala tradition of ayurvedic therapies and foundations to treat different help outs.

Today I would like to talk to you regarding how Ayurveda manage to treat different health problems with the help of tools like Panchkarma and other kind of external therapies as well as internal foundations. So before going into details it will be good if you get an idea about the basics some of the Ayurveda basics concepts. Mainly the Tridosha Siddhanta. So you all have might heard about the tridosha vata pitta and kapha. So these three doshas along with its subdivisions carry out the entire functions of the human body like three pillars. So I will again explain about the vata, pitta and kapha a little more. Tridosha is basically based on the theory of panj mahauttar i.e. the theory about five elements principles of five elements i.e. air, space, fire, water and earth. So as far as this principles everything in universe is composed of these five elements, everything means we can see the presence of these five elements even (inaudible 1:30) so this is a basic concept of this Tridosha. So vatta dosha is air and space dominant energy factor which governs the principles of movements in our body. Pitta similarly is fire dominant energy factor which performs the functions of transformation in our body. There are many chemical biological transformation happening in our body which govern by pitta dosha. Similarly kapha dosha is an earth water dominant energy factor which governs the functions like lubrication, immunity, stability, growth etc. so this is our concept of tridosha. So these 3 dosha will carry on all the functions of our body like the 3 pillars. So if there is any imbalance so it will be ease by these 3 doshas and they overcome the disease.

So how ayurveda will manage to treat health problem? It is just balance the imbalances doshas. So how ayurveda will treat this imbalance? There are 2 types of treatments in Ayurveda one is Shamana chikitsa and the other is sodhana chikitsa. Shamana means pacifying the dosha the imbalance doshas within the body by giving some internal medicines with some external treatments. Secondly what makes Ayurveda unique comparing to other system of medicines? It’s glimpsing treatment i.e. sodhana chikitsa i.e. the panchakarma treatment. So in panchakarma, there is 5 treatment moralities that we use. Vamana that is therapeutically induced control vomiting. And virechana i.e. cleansing of the bowel with administering some with the help of some preventive tips. Third one nasya administering some nasal medicines as nasal drops and fourth one i.e. medicated adenema treatment in which we administer kind of medicines through the angular tract and the last one is (inaudible 3:31) i.e. we use bloodletting to take out the blood from the body. So in each of the therapies have unique properties. So these are the panchakarma detoxifying procedure of Ayurveda which makes Ayurveda unique and if you want to know more about panchakarma therapy and how effective these therapies are and can be utilize for your health problems.

I have a wife and she delivered a baby for us, can I suck her breast milk and drink? Is there any risk in doing so? And can the milk give me health or effect my body and our baby?

General Physician, Jajpur
you should not. Breast milk contains essential nutrients for the growing baby. You drinking it means less for the baby which will affect his/her growth.
