Does he have any other medical problems. Isolated reduction of EF in such young people is rare until he has cardiomyopathy. This is again secondary to many systemic disease or primary or due to other diseases of the heart. More information Will be required before any thing can be said.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Your knee pain and back pain could be due to some early degeneration setting in your joints due to which there is pain. My advice will be intensive back and knee exercises daily brisk walks for 2-3 km every day adequate calcium and vitamin d supplementation to start with gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol can be started provided it suits your body continue with hot saline fomentation 3-4 times in a day at home analgesic spray like dynapar qps spray can be used for local application 2-3 times in a day after fomentation. Let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling, otherwise we might have to get some blood tests and x rays done for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Hi Thanks for your query and Welcome to Lybrate. I am Dr Akshay from Fortis Hospital, New Delhi. There are many causes of pain in lower back region. It can be due to faulty posture, related to weak muscles, issues with Intervertebral Disc, narrowing of Spinal canal, any Bony instability besides many other , so accurate diagnosis is the key to proper management of the condition. You will have to elaborate your problem as to a detailed discussion of your back pain which means duration of pain and mode of onset.I would also like to ask you if it is associated with any leg pain or any other neurological symptoms like numbness, paraesthesias ( electrical shock like abnormal sensations) or any weakness in limbs. Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Ankle stretching. Ankle strengthening exercises. Avoid squatting. Quadriceps exercises. Core strenthening exercises. Stretch calves get a custom made insole. Hams stretching. Sports taping. Hot fomentation.

Dear lybrate-user, The pain in the neck and the back could be due to many reasons. It could be a mechanical pain or due pathological factors. Kindly meet an Orthopaedician to find out the cause of the pain and there by meet a Physiotherapist and take course of Physiotherapy & exercises along with the medicines prescribed by the Orthopaedician which would solve your problem. Give hot water fomentation twice daily on your back and neck. Wishing you good health and a speedy recovery.

1.Take crocin 500mg one tablet sos after food upto a maximum of 3 tablets daily 2.Apply volini gel twice daily 3.Give warm compress locally 4. Take rest If you have recurrent attack of neck pain a)Take X ray cervical spine to exclude spondylitis and consult orthopedic specialist b)Sometimes It could be due to bad sitting posture while reading or working on computer. Adopt proper sitting posture, put neck rest, use soft pillow while sleeping c) Consult me for further advice

Hi. Sleeping on your back without a pillow to encourage the natural curves along the spine to align properly. Also sleeping on your side with a pillow that is the size of the gap between your shoulder and head to release the strain on the neck. Using too many pillows is not recommended. Regular exercise lubricates the disks of the spine and helps to combat degeneration of the disks. Exercise can help keep your body strong and supple as you age. High-impact exercises such as running should be avoided if you are experiencing any neck pain because the shock of impact can worsen your condition. Light, low-impact exercises such as walking, swimming or aqua aerobics help to support the body. Using a routine of neck stretches and yoga exercises will maintain flexibility and range of motion in the neck and cervical spine. Sit up tall with good posture. Roll the shoulders up and back. Inhale and lift the head up toward the sky. Exhale and drop the head toward the chest. Repeat this movement with your breath 10 to 15 times. Bring the head back to center and drop the right ear toward the right shoulder. Repeat on the left side and continue for 10 to 15 repetitions. Roll the head in circles to the right and then to the left. Drop the right ear toward the right shoulder and press the right hand gently into the left side of the forehead to increase the stretch. Repeat on the other side. Yoga (better do it under supervision and guidance by a qualified yoga-instructor first and do it alone later): Certain yoga postures such as Cobra and Bridge pose help to strengthen and stretch the muscles of the neck. Perform Bridge pose lying on your back with the knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Press the feet into the floor and lift the hips up toward the sky. Clasp the hands underneath the body and straighten the arms. For Cobra pose, start on your stomach. Bring your hands to either side of your chest. Press the hands into the floor and roll the shoulders back. Lift the upper body off of the floor and press the tops of the feet into the floor. Elongate the neck and move the tips of the ears back toward the shoulders.

Hello doctor, I am 27 years old. My height is 5feet 5 inch and weight is 59kgs and I am suffering from side hip pains. I have done every report including mri every report is normal but pain is still there everymonth I suffer 20-25 days I can' t sleep or bend forward. First of all I have to know the nature of your job. If it is related to weight bearing or travelling. U r supposed to reduce d working style and take rest while working. You can apply a good ayurvedic oils (eg: arlin oil r chan oil) in d pain areas gently and after 15 mins. of time supposed to take hot water fermentation using cotton towel. Do this twice a day. And some streching exercises. Continue this for next 5 days continuously. U will feel better. All d best.

I am suffering from lower back pain for a long time, I am just 23 year old guy. I used to go to gym for the last 5 months, but still there is no cure. Sometimes the pain will be high, I can't even sit properly for a longer period. What can I do to get permanent relief from back pain, is there any workout I can do it in gym to make a strong backbones.

Hi, how can you believe if some one says. Do you have any evidence? my advice: take x-ray of you r ls region, views are 1. Ap view 2. Lat view home advice -take rest for maximum time -avoid long sitting, standing, walking -if you want to travel for long time use gel bed in you r car -start back strengthening exercises & stretching exercises -do not sleep on soft bed, try to sleep on floor -apply any pain killer ointment precautions -maintain good posture/avoid bad posture -use ls belt if necessary (do not use for long time) -if you are working long hours you must be relax by frequent breaks. -maintain ideal body weight -have a balanced diet food.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Follow these usefultips for arthritis pain relief: * take take calcium rich diet daily. Take a glass (300 ml) of full cream milk daily or 100 gm of cheese or 1-2 eggs regularly. * give a gentle oil massage to knees regularly and wrap your knees with cloth dipped in hot water for atleast 10-15 minutes. * wear knee cap or wrap crape bandage during walk for knee support. * sit atleast for 5-8 minutes in sunlight in morning or evening for vitamin-d *avoid heal shoe and wear only flat shoes for balanced load on knees. * take guggalu tablets if himalaya one tablet daily for atleast 3 months. * take a piece of garlic, crush it and boil it a glass of milk and drink daily for fast pain relief.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.
