Gastric Bypass Procedure - Precautions and Associated Risks!

The risk of developing heart problems has increased to a great extent and this is mainly due to obesity, which leads to other diseases. A gastric bypass surgery is a medical procedure, which is commonly known as Roux en-Y surgery. It aids in reducing the size of the stomach. The reduction in the size of the stomach makes an individual feel full even when they have eaten very little.

Gastric Bypass Procedure
The stomach bypass surgery is generally known as a bariatric surgery and it guarantees weight loss of about 30-40% within a year. For this procedure, the patient has to be in the hospital for 4-5 days and it takes about 2-3 hours for the medical procedure. It is through this procedure that the size of the stomach is reduced permanently and is performed laparoscopically.

Five small holes are made in the stomach under general anaesthesia. The procedure is conducted only after tests like ECG, blood and urine tests, chest X-Ray chest, abdominal scan and echocardiogram are carried out.

The patient can be discharged from the medical centre on the fourth day. However, it is necessary that calcium, vitamins and supplements are included in the diet plan, mainly to prevent malnourishment and tiredness. In the medical procedure, the surgeon divides the stomach into two sections using surgical staples. The sections are divided into a small upper pouch and a large remnant. The medical procedure makes use of surgical staples, which is why the procedure is sometimes referred to as stomach stapling.

The small intestine is re-arranged in a manner that the stomach pouches are connected to the intestine. The intake of food is reduced by the reduction in the functional capacity of the stomach and by the re-arrangement of the small intestine that causes food to go through the first portion of the small intestine. The procedure is mainly targeted for people with body mass index of 50 and above. It is important that the individual should not drink water for next 24 hours of surgery.

Benefits of Gastric Bypass Procedure
Results in reduced calorie absorption and helps in weight loss. It is generally advised for people who are unable to accomplish weight loss through diet and exercise.

Risks involved in gastric bypass procedure

  1. Inflammation of the stomach lining
  2. Nausea and vomiting
  3. Bleeding
  4. Nutritional deficiency
  5. Development of gallstones. This occurs mainly due to loss of significant weight within a short span of time.

The procedure is a little expensive, but it is a reliable medical procedure for weight loss. It is always better to know about the risks involved in this surgery before opting for a weight loss program.

Kindler's Syndrome - Symptoms + Treatment

Kindler's Syndrome - Symptoms + Treatment

Kindler’s Syndrome is a rare skin blistering disease named after Theresa Kindler. It is a kind of skin complication which forms skin blisters and lesions on the mucous membranes. This can happen in any part of your body but mainly concentrates on the area where you have experienced any frictions, bruises or minor trauma, especially on the feet and the hands. In some rare occurrences of Kindler’s Syndrome, it can develop on the internal organs like the food pipe, stomach or the respiratory tract.

This disease generally occurs if you suffer from a disorder called autosomal recessive. It means that you may have inherited an anomalous gene from each parent. It usually happens during childhood and reduces as you age.

Some of the symptoms of Kindler syndrome are:

  1. Blisters occurring on the body in your infancy and periods of early childhood.
  2. Slowly you will observe altered pigmentation and cutaneous atrophy (A severe dermal condition).
  3. Blistering due to certain skin trauma appearing on the hands and feet.
  4. Some observe abnormalities like dental or ophthalmic
  5. The growth of actinic Keratoses

Kindler’s Syndrome requires a specialized dermatologist for the treatment. In some countries, diagnosis involves skin biopsy. It involves undergoing Immunofluorescence Antigen Mapping or transmission of Electron Microscopy. Blood testing of genes is slowly being developed as a diagnostic test.

Other treatments involve:

  1. A healthy and nutritious diet to heal the disease from within.
  2. Maintaining a good dental hygiene.
  3. Use sunscreen with a high protein formula.
  4. Avoid exposure to the sun as much as possible.

Moisturising is the key to good health of your lips. Well, moisturised lips fasten the cell renewal process, thereby lightening them. Hence, use of glycerin can be a good start as a thin coat of it can help heal your lips.Applying the cream of fresh milk can have dual benefits on dry and dark lips. They not only remove the dryness from the lips, but also lighten their colour.People also rely on clarified butter to soften those parched lips. They are a definitely tried and tested cure to get pink lips

Homoeopathic treatment UNDER EYE CREAM ( BAKSON) Apply at night under the eye in circular fashion GLOWCARE DROPS ( LORDS) 20 drops in 20 ml freh water 3 times daily Take a good Iron rich diet likeApple,Pomegranate,Spinach nd all other green vegetables 2 glass milk daily 6-8 glass extra water daily Try to have a sound sleep HOME REMEDIES Slice up a papaya. Papaya fruit contains the enzyme papain. Papain helps exfoliate the skin, making way for new skin cells to emerge. Papaya also contains Vitamin C and Vitamin E, so it's a dark spot fading superstar. Papain is most concentrated while the papaya is still green, but you can use riper fruit as well. Peel and remove the seeds from a papaya, and try one of the following treatments: 1. Slice a piece off of the papaya, and lay or hold it on the dark spots that you want to get rid of. Hold it there for 20-30 minutes. Repeat twice a day for best results. 2.Make a papaya facial mask. Cut the papaya into chunks, then use a blender or food processor to blend the fruit into a smooth paste. Apply the mask to your face and neck. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, then rinse well.

On my face on chin two round white sports like sobi how to qure it can you expline.
There are several causes of loss of pigmentation on the skin. Most of these are, fortunately, not serious, although some can require medical evaluation. Visit your nearest dermatologist to discuss this issue in detail and get appropriate treatment according to the cause. A very common cause of hypopigmented (lighter) spots on the skin is something called post-inflammatory hypopigmentation. This is a loss of pigmented (coloured) cells following an injury to the skin (such as a scratch, or chickenpox, or basically anything). Usually this resolves, but it can be permanent is proper treatment from a dermatologist is not taken. Another very common cause of hypopigmented lesions is a fungal infection of the skin. This usually causes multiple light colored lesions on the back and chest. It can sometimes be itchy. A dermatologist will be able to tell you the cause and can prescribe antifungal medications. Occasionally, white spots can develop from sun damage and use of chemicals on your skin. Vitiligo is a condition that develops when the melanin producing cells die or no longer produce melanin. It is mostly genetic. It can be treated with steroid therapy, excimer laser therapy and appropriate sunscreen as suggested by the doctor to protect your skin. As always, the diagnosis and the management of your particular condition will require a physical examination by a skin doctor.
