Sometimes my eyes are red why? And I always felling sleepy even after sleeping for 7-8 hours?

Sometimes my eyes are red why? And I always felling sleepy even after sleeping for 7-8 hours?
With a weight of 105 Kg at your teenage, your body requires a lot of energy and so gets exhausted early as well a eaily. Thaswhy you feel sleepy due to exhaustion not mentally but physically. One thing you must always keep in your mind that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE and just see where are you aiming to go from here if you do not think seriously right now Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to:---------------- •Eye dryness------------- •Too much sun exposure----------- •Dust or other particles in the eye----------- •Allergies--------- •Infection------------ •Injury----------- Homoeopathic medicine------------------- EUPHRASIA 30 (Dr Reckeweg) Drink 2 drops direct on tongue every 2-3 hrly---------------- CINERARIA /EUPHRASIA EYEDROPS (SBL) pour into eyes 1-2 drops 3 times daily--------------------- Report after 5 days----------------------

C3R operation of my left eye has vision, but is very fragile, please do what I tell me it should.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
C3R operation of my left eye has vision, but is very fragile, please do what I tell me it should.
It’s important that patients are aware that C3R is a treatment not a cure. This means that you are likely to continue to need to wear glasses following your treatment, although the treatment should prevent your keratoconus from getting worse. Most patients with keratoconus should be suitable for treatment with C3R. There are a couple of exceptions to this. For example, if your keratoconus is particularly advanced then you might not be suitable to have the treatment, but your AVC consultant will discuss the alternative options with you. However, the majority of patients with progressive keratoconus should be fine to have the treatment.

Hello dear there are many causes for redness of eyes mainly allergy, infection, inflammation and dry eyes etc. This seems to be due to dryness you can 1. Blink a lot 2. Wash eyes with fresh water 3. Cold compresses 4. Use lubricating eyedrop like flogel these measures will help to keep your eyes healthy having said that you should consult local ophthalmologist for proper examination and treatment.

My wife suffering from partial loss of vision in right eye due to heamorrange caused due to hypertension. Please suggest what to do and how and where the same can be treated.

Phaco Development Program, Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology, DNB Ophtalmology, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Mysore
By your history i think there is a vein occlusion inside her eye. Get her lipid profile checked (cholesterol, HDL, LDL, VLDL etc.) See to that she maintains her cholesterol levels and BP. Get her eyes checked regularly by a retina specialist. Depending on the area involved, amount of bleeding, time taken for resolution, she may need some intaocular injections and/or laser therapy.

Eye sight can be corrected either by lasik or crt (corneal refractive therapy) but both have it's own limitations and disadvantages, my advice to you is that you stick to your spectacles or contact lenses.

I want my eyes to look bluer. Currently they are brown. Is there any way which I can adopt.
Your eye can turn brown by aesthetic procedure , a novel laser treatment which targets the brown Melanin pigments of Eyes but be aware that this procedure is not reversible, means you will never get bach to your original brown eyes once they are blue.

Hello lybrate-user. Operations done to remove the refractive error (power) of the eyes are known as refractive surgery (lasik). There are certain basic criteria that most patients need to fulfill before they can safely undergo refractive surgery. To enumerate, they are: (1) stability of refraction: the power of the eyes should have become stable for a period of 1.5 years minimum without any change. (2) curvature of the cornea should be tested by a technique which is known as topography. (3) thickness of the cornea should be measured by a test known as pachymetry. The minimum thickness required is 550 microns. (4) dilated retina evaluation: this is one of the most important tests that should be performed by a trained retina specialist. This test helps in detection of any offensive lesion on the central or peripheral retina. In case of any retinal abnormality, these should be treated before undergoing the surgery for number reduction. (5) there should be no pre-existent corneal abnormality. (example: corneal scar, opacity, defect, etc.) another important suggestion is that whenever you go for the assessment (the above mentioned tests), you should discontinue the use of contact lenses at least 4 weeks prior to the assessment. The reason for this being that use of contact lens temporarily alters the contour of the cornea. It takes around 3-4 weeks for the restoration of the original corneal contour after removal of the contact lens. Another important point is that you, as a patient, should be compliant to put post operative medication in your eyes for at least 2 months. There is bound to be some discomfort, watering, foreign body sensation, pain after the surgery in most cases-you should be ready to tolerate that. A leave from work for 7-10 days after the surgery should be generally sufficient. Last but not the least, you should set realistic expectations from this surgery. Though extremely rare, there is a remote possibility that the surgery may need to be repeated. Also, the need for subsequent treatment for the eye may be required. Thus, you should be compliant enough to trust and follow your eye specialist.

What is cataract, how it does effect the humans and what are the steps to cure cataract. Does it only attacks humans or also animals?

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)

What is cataract, how it does effect the humans and what are the steps to cure cataract. Does it only attacks humans ...
The lens inside the eye works much like a camera lens, focusing light onto the retina for clear vision. It also adjusts the eye's focus, letting us see things clearly both up close and far away. The lens is mostly made of water and protein. The protein is arranged in a precise way that keeps the lens clear and gets light pass through it. But as we age, some of the protein may clump together and start to cloud a small area of the lens. This is a cataract, and over time, it may grow larger and cloud more of the lens, making it harder to see. No one knows for sure why the eye's lens changes as we age, forming cataracts. But certain factors that may cause cataracts or are associated with cataract development. Besides advancing age, cataract risk factors include: •Ultraviolet radiation from sunlight and other sources •Diabetes •Hypertension •Obesity •Smoking •Prolonged use of corticosteroid medications •Statin medicines used to reduce cholesterol •Previous eye injury or inflammation •Previous eye surgery •Hormone replacement therapy •Significant alcohol consumption •High myopia •Family history One theory of cataract formation that's gaining favor is that many cataracts are caused by oxidative changes in the human lens. This is supported by nutritional studies that show fruits and vegetables high in antioxidants may help prevent certain types of cataracts.- Prevention of Cataract Although it iss still a debate if Cataract can be prevented but a number of studies suggest certain nutrients and nutritional supplements may reduce your risk of cataractsSome studies have shown that higher dietary intakes of vitamin E and the carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin from food and supplements were associated with significantly decreased risks of cataract.Good food sources of vitamin E include sunflower seeds, almonds and spinach.-Good sources of lutein and zeaxanthin include spinach, kale and other green, leafy vegetables.--Other studies have shown antioxidant vitamins such as vitamin C and foods containing omega-3 fatty acids may reduce cataract risk.Another step you can take to reduce your risk of cataracts is to wear protective sunglasses that block 100 percent of the sun's UV rays when you are outdoors

As you have dust allergy most probably your irritation is also due to allergy. Anti-allergic eye drops will give you relief from itching but i suggest you consult a pulmonologist who specializes in allergic disorders and get yourself desensitized or start taking anti allergic tablets like montelukast
