Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homeopathic medicines are very helpful. They not only treat the acute stages but are also used for the treatment of chronic back pain.Selection of the exact remedy depends upon the individual symptoms of the person.So share the complete symptom picture for the proper treament. In the mean time take Arnica 200, 3 drops in the morning and Rhus tox. 200, 3 drops at night for 7 days.Take care.

Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretching. Do the cat/cow stretch.

44 male.Tailbone pain for 6 years. X ray done. Physio not helping.

What physiotherapy was given to you. Do you ride a bike after treatment? iI so during treatment sessions dont ride a bike. This is commonest cause of not getting rid of tail bone pain. If not take a second opinion from different physio.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

You are young. Why do you want to damage your knee with home remedies when it's fractured. Visit orthopaedic surgeon and take opinion. If you delay your treatment, only person to get affected will be you.

Sometimes the pain can be so diffused ie. the lower end of the vertebral column might be inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called Coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain. This air cushion pillow (donut pillow) can be used in the hard surfaces of sitting ie. dining table chairs, wooden chairs, not definitely on the soft surfaces like sofa, cushion sofa, spongy cushion chairs etc,

Go to physiotherapy clinic learn some knee isometric and isotonic exercise and walking is ok but you should wear the knee cap while walking slowly increase the time of total exercise.

Last year i met an accident n hurt my knee..it took one month for wounds to heal but after that i hv pain .i took phsio but after fw daz again pain came bck..there is still swelling on the side of a knee

Dear Sanjana, Many Thanks for asking about your concern. The discomfort in the knee along with swelling suggest something that is still triggering and leading to these symptoms. A good thorough clinical assessment by Physiotherapist & Orthopedic Doctor can reveal the primary diagnosis aided with MRI to confirm it. Depending on the the diagnosis and presenting symptoms, a treatment plan can be worked out which can include exercises, local therapeutic modalities, and if necessary arthroscopic surgery (key hole procedure) by Orthopedic Surgeon. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

My left hip was paining xray was taken doctor told nothing to worry hip has dislocated not much he had given medicines and told you will b k. But now my whole left side is painting my left leg joint is paining I can't walk properly.

Requires detailed examination and investigation. Preliminary investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d urine r/e x-ray of the affected part. Anyway it may be tried sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back, knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure that patient is not allergic to any of the medicines that he/she is going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

I am 22 years old. Getting back pain once in a month and stays for 1 day. I have this problem from 1 year. When I bend I get a nerve pain which is streched from back to foot.(right leg. Im afraid if it is a major problem. Give me a solution which can be solved by me mostly. I think I got dis pain since I do masturbatation and loose sperms and lots of energy. My dad is having depression. He had cervical spine blockage, so he had laminectomy. Dad's hand shake when he take glass to drink something. Much a time, dad's hand shake when they are at rest. Is it due to spine problem or any other problem is coming? He has leg jerking at night too. He can't write properly now.

Usually in anxiety there will be shaking (tremors), but from what you describe it seems more like organic (neurological) rather than psychological. The leg jerks you state r likely to be myoclonic jerks, better consult a neurologist. All the best.

. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned pain in lower back region as his main problem. You are actually very young to have persistent pain. If there is only localized pain in back region and leg pain with no other associated symptoms like numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home, start with tens as a modality which is good for radiculopathy - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc in case you are having back pain. If there is no improvement in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate you further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Hello this is Dr.Vyas dear first u have to diagnose the prob. So u have to go to orthopedic and have a x-ray. This is suspected case of condromalicia patteli with vit.D3 deficiency . You have to use knee cap during play, do quadriceps, calf and hamstring stretch after play and do hot fermentation .
