Dear, tobacco is addictive. Cigarette also contains 4000+ carcinogenic chemicals other than nicotine. The best method is to leave it and continue with your will power. There are other methods like nicotine replacement therapy and pharmacotherapy combined. But still you will need will power. You may consult a physician or deaddiction therapist or a rehabilitation facility for further advise. Take care.

Being charm and happy is very essential for any person. Stress and many other factors can take it away from us in this modern world. If you have any of the symptoms like sleep disturbances, crying spells, staying alone, easy irritability, avoiding family and friends then kindly consult a psychiatrist. If you don't have these symptoms and just feel charm less then take breaks. Have a long weekend trip with family and friends. Do regular exercises. Take proper diet and sleep well. You will settle down with time.

YOu have to stop both drinks and smoking. Only strong will power, determination, attending AA meetings and diverting mind when tempted will help you stop alcohol or may need professional help from a psychiatrist or de addiction centre. Try to do meditation and yoga. Read good books and listen to music and if you are believer attend Bhajans Alcohol causes 7 types of cancer, including breast, mouth and bowel cancers. When you drink alcohol, cancer-causing chemicals are formed. Alcohol also affects hormone levels and makes cells even more likely to be damaged by smoking. The less alcohol you drink, the lower the risk of cancer. No type of alcohol is better or worse than another, it is the alcohol itself that leads to the damage, regardless of whether it is in wine, beer or spirits. And drinking and smoking together are even worse for you. Not everyone who drinks alcohol will develop cancer. But on the whole, scientists have found that some cancers are more common in people who drink more alcohol than others. Every year, alcohol causes 4% of cancers .Tips to cut down on alcohol. There are lots of simple ways to cut down on the amount of alcohol you drink. It can help to work out if there are particular times or situations when you tend to have a drink, whether that’s a bad day at work or a weekly pub quiz tradition, and plan what you’ll say and do differently next time. Have more alcohol-free days a week. For liver health it’s best to have at least 2 days off alcohol in a row each week. Try agreeing on certain days with your partner or a friend and help each other and stick to it. If you are planning to drink alcohol, decide on a limit in advance and make sure you don’t go over it. Swap every other alcoholic drink for a soft one – starting with your first drink. Try shandy instead of a pint of beer, or swap some wine for soda and have a spritzer. Don’t stock up on beer, wine or spirits at home. Finish one drink before pouring another, because topping up drinks makes it harder to keep track of how much you’ve had and when you planned to stop. Avoid buying drinks in rounds, that way you don’t have to keep pace with anyone. Tell a friend or partner that you’re cutting down on alcohol, they can support you – or even join you.

It appears more and more from the brief that you have shared that she may be going through her ‘terrible twos’. For your information, it is at two years that children discover that they are no longer the center of the world, and it upsets them so that they want to test boundaries to see how much you will tolerate her before she either makes you reject her or she learns to control her urges and learns that you will have needs to be met too sometimes, and only after that her needs will be met: this is a very important learning she must achieve around this age: Sounds like she is not going through that phase happily. In fact she is winning this battle and ruling over you! I suggest that you give her a lot of physical contact and enjoy her company. She needs to understand that whatever happens you will love her. I hope you have taken her for all the necessary medical checks to rule out any other cause. In the meantime there are some questions that I would love answered, or for you to take him to a child psychiatrist, if there are any disturbing events. My questions: Was the conception normal? Was there a miscarriage or abortion before this child was born or after? How was the nine months of pregnancy for the mother i.e. was she under any kind of stress? Was the pregnancy normal? Was there any threat to the pregnancy? Was she on any medication? Was there any need for supplements? What was her emotional condition? Did she like the pregnancy? Was she happy during and about the pregnancy? Did she get good support from her husband? Was the delivery normal and on the due date? How long was she breast fed? Did she have any problems with bedwetting etc.? This information will help even a counselor to bring further insight into this problem. If some of these questions raise any serious concerns, you can help the child resolve it with some professional help from a child counselor. You are only getting into a competition with this child and she is winning happily but at your misery. So back off a bit and just give her boundaries and only then do you need to get into the act, if there is non-compliance. Then too do not use violence but negotiate with her (since she is sounding like a knowing child), and give her consequences, which are different from punishments. Confront the behavior and never, ever, reject the child/personality. Also do not show any loss of control and be composed when dealing with her. Focus on her positives and mildly confront the aggression: it makes no sense to fight fire with fire i.e. her aggression with yours!!! You are provoking her rebelliousness and this may lead to later repercussions that will be pretty unsavory. There is a very old book I remember reading entitled, ‘Talk so that kids will listen, and listen so that kids will talk’. Unfortunately I have forgotten the author. If you can find that book, it will help you tremendously. At the play group, please check if there are any unusual behaviors and whether someone is bullying her.

Schizophrenia is treatable disorder just like diabetes and any metabolic disease. It requires a course of medications initially to bring severe symptoms under control and then stabilise with lesser doses. A maintenance therapy of minimal dose might be required to prevent relapses. This maintenance therapy (in a patient who has successfully achieved remission of symptoms with regular medications) may range from 2-5 years. In about 1/3 rd cases of frequent relapses or severer symptoms maintenance therapy may be required for even a longer time.

To lose weight, you have to maintain an input-output ratio. Whatever food you eat contains the input calories which gives you the output calories in the form of energy. If your input calories is too much, you are likely to put on weight. The best way to lose weight is to exercise or spend the additional calories accumulated in your body in the form of fat. The other most important thing is to eat wisely. Try to cut down the excessive calories you are eating and make sure whatever you eat is healthy. Some tips to lose weight - 1. Have more fruits and vegetables than junk food and juices. 2. Avoid sugar as much as you can 3. Exercise 3-4 times a week. 4. Have an early dinner, preferably before 8 p. M. 5. Do not starve yourself. Eat small meals 5 times a day. 6. Have barley soup in dinner and avoid rice at night. 7. Drink lots of water daily.

I am 37 year old male. I have to resign from my job due to medical exigency of my parents a year ago. Being having good professional experience I am still not getting job. At your age, a break in service will have a negative effect. But since you had a medical contingency to tackle you can always explain that as your reason. You need to apply to a lot of placement agencies, both online and recruitment offices. The job market is improving and will take a big positive swing soon. You have got to persevere. Do not cry alone, ever: you will easily get into a self-pity mode and that will never help you. Go meet a counselor and share your feelings. An idle mind is a devil? s workshop: you will be plagued by negative thoughts. Do you have faith? trust and pray to god often and with persistence. Do not become passive in these circumstances. Do regular exercises, eat well, sleep well and be positive. The whole body, which is each and every cell, responds to your thoughts. If change your negative thoughts to positive ones, your body and mind will respond likewise. Success is measured by the number of times you fell and yet stood up. Learn to depend on people who are trustworthy, always. Life will always have its challenges. And when it rains it pours. Be strong and reach out to reliable people. Life is precious and everything that can sustain it and stretch it, is always the mantra of the medical profession, and should be yours too. When you overcome these hurdles, you will one day look back with pride, if you fought the good fight.

Dear lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. You must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. If the task is boring, it is natural that that person will sleep or feel sleepy. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Take care.

All these are indications of depression, probably due to age and lack of occupation. He needs to feel worthy and may need to talk about a lot of things about his past. He just needs a good listener and something useful to do. He could also do with some travelling and spiritual pursuits. He needs to meet with his peers and socialize some. What about his wife? if she is around, they could visit relatives together, both in town and those living outside. He may find that he is useless in the present scenario of this fast moving world, and that he is insignificant. He may be encouraged to read; and where it is possible, if his health permits, to do some child care with his grand-kids. He can also find some role in any social work organization too. If these are not followed, he may waste away his twilight years and age faster than normal.

I forget even name of any one who told his/ her name after few minutes means I can not remember the names of any thing without much practice day what is the reason behind it please doctor tell me I want to know about this is any serious problem with me what I do to overcome with these even I take proper 7 to 8 hrs daily sleep and diet also then why it happened with me please give me advise what I do I am 25 year old. Get a complete hemogram, TSH and Vitamin B12 level. If there are any abnormalities here, they will need to be corrected. If they are normal, it is almost certainly related to what is known as registration deficit. This occurs due to mild anxiety related problems. They can be easily treated with medicines such as escitalopram, sertraline or paroxetine. It can be started and kept at low doses only. They have no side effects. Some amount of supervision will be needed from doctor. Take care!

Yes it can be one of the reasons, but not the final reason. Ask her to practice reading anything loudly in a room, practice will solve the problem, and of course you can visit the dentist to find out other reasons.
