Healthy Pregnancy Tip # 4: Stay Active!
Studies have shown that regular, moderate exercise makes labor short and less painful. If you were exercising before getting pregnant, continue with your exercises, but do consult your healthcare provider about exercises to avoid. If you were mostly sedentary before getting pregnant, consider picking up regular walking, swimming and pregnancy yoga.

Which is the best condom for anal? Amd which is the best oil to apply on that condom?

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine & Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Anus is not supplied by natural lubrication so you need to use a glycerin based long lasting lubrication with condom. You can go for any condom as per your choice, but do not use oil for lubrication, as oil can affect the condoms outer surface and can break it in the mid of sex, leaving you exposed against harmful bacteria and viruses of anus.

Health Precautions For Monsoon!

Health Precautions For Monsoon!

The monsoons have arrived. And rains are a great delight especially after the scorching heat of summer. The cloudy sky, the downpour and lush greenery all around makes the season a beautiful time to enjoy and get relief from the harsh and sweaty summers.

But monsoons also bring several diseases due to change of weather, food and water contamination, and breeding of mosquitoes in stagnated waters. Many people get sick during the monsoon as the damp and filthy conditions give the insects and pathogenic micro-organisms a good scope to multiply and spread diseases like dengue, malaria, typhoid,  viral fever, common cold, gastro-intestinal disturbances etc.

The due precaution to be taken to prevent them are:

  1. Drink plenty of water. Prefer boiled water as drinking clean water is important in order to prevent water borne diseases.
  2. Don't forget to carry your umbrella and raincoat with you always.
  3. Avoid getting wet in the rains.
  4. Wear full sleeved shirts, pants and socks while going to sleep.
  5. Use mosquito repellent on the body.
  6. Avoid eating raw foods during monsoon.
  7. Wash the vegetables and fruits properly with clean water before consuming.
  8. Remember to take bath every time you get wet in the rain or after coming back to home as taking a bath helps in normalising our body temperature.
  9. Have warm water or herbal tea. Keep your body dry and moderately warm to avoid cold and cough.
  10.  Don’t enter air conditioned rooms with wet hair and damp clothes.
  11. Dry your feet whenever they get wet.
  12. Don't allow your children's to play near stagnant water or water filled puddles.
  13. Avoid eating street food. Eat fresh, home-cooked meals.
  14. Don't smoke and avoid drinking alcohol as it will decrease your immunity.
  15.  Wash your hands thoroughly before eating and after you have visited the restroom.

A little effort on your part coupled with care and caution can really help you enjoy this monsoon to its fullest. Happy Monsoon!

Hi I'm the mother having query.
My girl baby is 7wks old and she cries a lot at least once in a day continuously for ...
A 7 weeks old baby does give sleepless nights as stomach is tiny, neck is not stable and the feed should be on demand, rather than as per schedule-every hourly or so. Baby will be a bit stable at 3 months when she will be able to hold her neck and burp properly. & weeks old need not cry due to hunger only, she can be overfed, not able to burp, wet nappy, passing stools irregularly, being handled by lot too many people out of affection and getting cranky in the process. A 7 week old baby needs at least 20 hours of sleep & a good bath every day, there is need to hold the baby upright holding her neck with one hand and patting on her back after every feed so that baby is helped to expel gases in stomach by burping (some babies may take 15 minutes to do so, but it is worth to hold her upright, supported by both arms) give her a good massage every day, foam bath after an hour (i have seen some mothers not bathing baby after oil massage, imagine if you were rubbed oil all over and not washed after some time, you too will become irritable) I am sure you are giving your own milk, if not keep her feed ready as babies feel more relaxed and hungry after bath, take milk and go to sleep for few hours. Do not allow strangers to wake her up out of affection. Use cotton nappies, disposables are not for our climate. On an average 6 nappies per 12 hours, means a change after every two hours. Do not give water/ honey / ors if she is taking your feed or otherwise too.

You may give her Homoeopathic Medicine Pulsatilla 30 one dose... In many cases this Medicine helps... But not necessarily in all.. So if it doesn't then Consult for proper Homoeopathic treatment... Request is not to give hormonal tablets...at this young age..

Mood disorders like depression is more common in women. During pregnancy getting mood upset and depression is much more common. You are depressed and suicidal, that is pretty dangerous and risky isn't it. You must consult a psychiatrist. Weighing the risks and benefits, you will need medicines and you should take. It will be safe for pregnancy and the baby. It will definitely help you to come out of it. Depending on the severity of depression and to get you out of it faster, there are other methods also, equally safe and effective like ACT. There is no need to be apprehensive about ACT it's complications and side effects. Get well soon.
