Hi there Back pain can be caused due to many reasons like sprain, strain, repetitive injury, heavy lifting, jerking movement and can be serious sometimes. I would suggest you to try ice pack for 15-20 minute 3 times/day and avoid heavy lifting, painful movements and do gentle low back rotation and extension exercises and abdominal exercise after ease in pain. If pain still persists after 3-4 days it would be better for you to visit an orthopedic doctor and have a x ray and MRI.

A soft tissue injury occurs due to overuse of ligaments, muscles or tendons. Most cases of soft tissue injuries occur due to uncontrolled or unexpected movement. A Certain example of the same includes awkward stepping of foot and getting the ankles rolled. Soft tissue injury can also happen from overuse of muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The example of the same includes using the same hand for heavy lifting day after day. Certain soft structures of the body that are prone to injuries are Achilles tendons and calf muscle.

Difference Between a Sprain and a Strain:

A strain is defined as a trauma that occurs to the tendons or muscles because of overstretching. Tendons are soft in nature and are responsible tying the muscle and the bone together. Sprain, on the other hand, are trauma caused due to overstretching of the ligaments. There exist 3 severity levels: grade 1 is mild tenderness and minimal stretching of the soft tissue, grade 2 is a tear of fiber resulting in swelling and moderate pain, grade 3 is a rupture of the soft tissue resulting in sharp pain, deep swelling and immobility of the affected area.

Pre-medical Care:

Immediately after the injury, certain things such as total rest and immobility should be ensured, an ice pack should be applied to the structure, compression, and elevation should be ensured in order to avoid any major damage to the soft tissue. Certain things that hamper the healing process immediately after the injury include applying heat to the injured area, consumption of liquor, exercising or running with an injured condition and massaging the injured area.

Physiotherapy For Soft Tissue Injury:

  1. Pain Relief: The first task for a physician is to ensure that the level of pain comes down. Although this is the primary task of a medical practitioner, physiotherapists ensure that the pain does not aggravate to an unbearable level. They recommend certain movements and advice against some movements which could do harm to the injured structure.

  2. Full Structure Movement: The immediate goal of a physiotherapist is to ensure that the full movement of the injured structure is regained at the earliest. This includes identifying abnormalities, verifying the range of motion and suggests corrective exercises ensure that the full movement of the soft tissue can be regained without having to go through the hassle of a surgery.

  3. Muscle Strengthening: While the injured structure is in the process of healing, physiotherapists ensure that the surrounding muscles support the tendon and the ligament by binding well. This is done by suggesting very individualistic exercise for the muscle to hold up. It also negates the possibility of a recurring injury at the same place.

Homoeopathic cream ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion Lemon Juice A quick and easy solution is lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. 1. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. 2. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. 3. Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk is also beneficial in getting rid of dark spots. Like lemon juice, it also helps fade blemishes and black spots but without causing burning sensation. 1. Take four teaspoons of buttermilk. 2. Add two teaspoons of fresh tomato juice. 3. Mix the two ingredients (both have excellent bleaching properties) and then apply. 4. Wash it off after 15 minutes. The lactic acid in milk too, will gradually reduce skin pigmentation, and brighten and tone your overall skin complexion. So, if you do not have buttermilk, simply apply soak a cotton ball in milk and dab it directly on your spots. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off Put milk on a cotton ball and dab it directly on your spots. Repeat this procedure twice daily for four to five weeks. You can also prepare a solution by mixing milk and honey and apply the solution to your dark spots, leaving it on for 10 minutes.

Hello, you can take damiaplant, 15 drops with water twice daily. A regular penis massage is required to increase the size of penis. I have a lot of itching in my scalp from the last 7-8 years and also dandruff, and due to scratching I am losing hair. I have tried all sorts of remedies for dandruff but nothing has helped. Once I was told by some doctor that I am suffering from Rosacea. Could this be the reason for the itching in my scalp? Is there any remedy to it?

Although rosacea can lead to itching in the scalp, in your situation, seborrhic dermatitis is the chief cause for scalp itching. You need to start using 2% ketoconazole shampoo alternate days with 5 minutes of contact time under expert guidance. It will definitely help with dandruff.

For fair skin: • Applying a mixture of cucumber and papaya with one teaspoon of each and with three teaspoon of oatmeal apply it for 5 to 10 minutes then rinse off with water. • Apply one teaspoon of honey for 30 minutes and wash it off. • Apply one teaspoon Besan with one teaspoon of curd and a pinch of haldi (turmeric) mix it with water then apply for 15 minutes then rinse off it with water. • Apply one teaspoon orange juice or take a piece of orange open it then apply that area for 5 minutes then rinse off it. • Apply one teaspoon of fuller' s earth (multani mitti) add one spoon of rose water mix it apply it for 10 minutes. • Eat fruits daily and drink a glass of milk daily. • Mash half bnana mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and half teaspoon of sandalwood powder mix it well and make smooth paste apply it for 10 minutes then rinse off with water. • Save yourself from sunlight by covering your face with cloth or by using sunscreen lotion.

Hello Ms. Lybrate-user. Sounds like you are having a viral fever. Please take some steam inhalation and gargle with salt water. You can only take paracetamol. Do not take any other meds as they may be secreted in the breast milk. Please check for any other symptoms like sore breasts, burning in urine, etc. Consult a physician before taking antibiotics. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. Take small meals 4-5 times a day.. Eat healthy n light food .. Drink plenty of fluids.. Avoid constipation... Walk 1km daily in evening... Follow up after a week.

You are probably under some stress fro which I recommend that you seek the help of a counselor. In the meantime do some of these recommendations very faithfully: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There is a new exercise called Super Brain Yoga, which is done by holding the right earlobe with your left thumb and index finger, and the left earlobe with your right hand’s thumb and index finger. In this position you must squat down and rise up and do this for five minutes every day. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too. The following foods do help too: Blueberries, walnuts, turmeric, Spinach, tomatoes, broccoli, acorn squash, green tea, oily fish, boiled egg, turkey, apples, oatmeal, leafy greens, lentils, pumpkin seeds, avocado, cinnamon, thyme, sunflower seeds, and red wine. Avoid sugar and junk food.

Hello there, for cough, take 2-2 teaspoonful of pranacharya kasantak by mixing it in hot water twice daily. Sitopaladi, praval and tankan bhasm churna taken with honey can also bring relief. Consume this 3 to 4 times a day for relief from dry cough; you can also drink tea with basil leaves or add ginger and black pepper in it. Salted hot water gargling also helps. And stay away from cold drinks and don't take milk when having cough.
