Exercises are effective in treatment of physiological causes in general, exercises are meant to provide strength to the organs associated with speech including tongue, lips, jaw, trachea and lungs consult to good speech therapy clinic 2. Deep breathing exercise are very effective 3. Chewing indian gooseberry, almonds, black pepper, cinnamon and dried dates are known to clear speech congestion 4. This problem can be solved by meditation.

Sir/Mam I am now in a big trouble, my age is 21, I used to do yoga regularly but remaining some days my latrine is not cleared, my headache increasing day by day, I fails to do my self-study, Sir/Mam now I am very under depressed. I am a thyroid patient, but now I am normal about thyroid, now I am not taking any thyronorm pill, I have a bad habit, that I am addict to pornography. I don't smoke, I don't drink, (even coldrings), now I can make any concentration to my self-study. I am preparing myself for UPSC. Therefore if you give me any suggestions, I will be grateful to you. Hi lybrate-user, do not worry, its okay if you can not pass stools for one or two days, just walk around and take bran or husk at night, start taking thronorm after consulting your physician again. You need a psychiatrist's advise too, since you have musltipple complaints making you anxious, go to a nearby hospital having a good psychiatry department .Wish you a speedy recovery, best of luck.

I am under psychologist since last 4 months. My problem is I am stressed due to my professional course studies. I am studious and intelligent student. I do not feel good. Sometime I do not sleep for 3 to 4 days continuously and Sometime I sleep almost every time. My head and eyelids remains heavy. My brain consistently keeps on thinking and I do self talk every time. I am irritated every time, frustrated and gets angry extreme. I have low concentration is studies also I tend to forget studies even after 5 to 6 times revised. every time I feel I am studying something new though they 4 to 5 times revised. My psychologist only talks about deep breathing and exercise. But even after 4 months of treatment I am still there where I was.

You must take proper sleep, because lack of sleep is causing disturbance in your daily routine. For good sleep, just try out these simple ways - 1. Stick to a sleep schedule- Go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Try to limit the difference in your sleep schedule on weeknights and weekends to no more than one hour. Being consistent reinforces your body's sleep-wake cycle. If you don't fall asleep within about 20 minutes, leave your bedroom and do something relaxing. Read or listen to soothing music. Go back to bed when you're tired. Repeat as needed. 2. Pay attention to what you eat and drink - Don't go to bed hungry or stuffed. In particular, avoid heavy or large meals within a couple of hours of bedtime. Your discomfort might keep you up. Nicotine, caffeine and alcohol deserve caution, too. 3. Create a restful environment - Avoid prolonged use of light-emitting screens just before bedtime. Consider using room-darkening shades, earplugs, a fan or other devices to create an environment that suits your needs. Doing calming activities before bedtime, such as taking a bath or using relaxation techniques, might promote better sleep. 4. Limit daytime naps - Long daytime naps can interfere with nighttime sleep. If you choose to nap, limit yourself to up to 30 minutes and avoid doing so late in the day. 5. Include physical activity in your daily routine - Regular physical activity can promote better sleep 6. Manage worries - Try to resolve your worries or concerns before bedtime. Stress management might help. Start with the basics, such as getting organized, setting priorities and delegating tasks. Meditation also can ease anxiety. Identifying and treating any underlying causes can help you get the better sleep you deserve. Autism is defined as a Neurobiological pervasive development disorder that includes lack of social skills and inability to reciprocate to social interactions. The patient may also have intellectual and cognitive deficits and problems in communication (verbal as well as non-verbal).

Ayurveda is the oldest study of medicine and has proved to be very effective when it comes to managing and treating those affected by autism. The earlier an autistic person resorts to Ayurveda, the more effective it is.

Ayurvedic drink recipe for treating the symptoms of autism: (should be taken daily)

  1. 1/3 cup of yogurt
  2. 3/4 cup of water
  3. Cumin
  4. Coriander
  5. Ginger

Or

  1. Diluted Fresh Pomegranate Juice

Ayurveda in Curbing Aggression:
Autism includes heightened aggression and aversion from social interaction due to a neurological condition that impairs the functioning of the brain. Not all autistic patients are violent towards others, but may express their frustration by self-harm and emotional outbursts. One can curb these emotional outbursts by taking herbal supplements. An Ayurvedic herb called Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) which is known for its, anti-anxiety, neuroprotection and antioxidant properties can help considerably.

Regular massages using sandalwood, rose, lavender and gotu kola oils are also very calming and relieving, because it stimulates the blood flow and neuronal responses. Massage also helps in increasing eye contact and social relatedness, less stereotypical behavior and improved sleep.

Ayurvedic Herbs for Autism:

  1. Brahmi; Scientifically known as Bacopa monnieri, Brahmi is an important herb that delays the process of forgetting and improves memory. Not only does Brahmi improve memory, but also increases the grasping power, intellect and speech and also corrects the abnormality of emotions, personality and mood of an autistic individual. It also helps in performing complex tasks such as comprehension, reasoning and learning.
  2. Ashwagandha: Scientifically known as Withania somnifera, Ashwagandha has high affinity for gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors. Low GABA activity is related to cognitive impairment.
  3. Shankhapushpi: Scientifically known as Convolvulus pluricaulis, Shankhapushpi is very effective in improving learning and memory and is highly effective in treating insanity and epilepsy
  4. Centella asiatica: This Ayurvedic herb is used as a medication for insanity, speech disorders and epilepsy, making it a very useful drug for treating autism.

Try the following remedy it will surely help you Natural home remedy using Indian gooseberry and nutmeg powder: 1. Cut, de-seed and crush 4-5 Indian gooseberries to paste 2. Press this paste on a sieve and extract the juice 3. Take 2 tsp of this Indian gooseberry juice 4. Add ½ tsp nutmeg powder 5. Mix well 6. Drink 2 times a day This remindy will be helpful.

You may be under some stress. So if you handled stress better, you will certainly improve. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night?s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. Recently they have discovered that moderate consumption of red wine and peanuts do help.

Depressive symptoms only since a month could be due to adjustment issues or a brief depressive phase. Underlying causes like hormonal disturbances, associated stress and anxiety etc also need to be dealt with. However depression like any other illness is completely treatable. I would like to know if SNDRI (TRI) drugs are available in India for treating depression? My doctor has tried both SSRI and SNRI, but I don't feel much difference or better. Can some please suggest a better treatment for Depression, I have depressed for 3 years now and haven't got well yet.

Hello, there is no drug which will increase all the three neurotransmitter levels in brain that can be achieved by combining drugs with different mechanism of action. Unfortunately, treatment of depression is not so simple that you will feel better after taking such a medicine combination. The factors to be taken in account for successful treatment of depression are:- type of depression, major symptoms, side effects that can be tolerated, family history of response to medicines, factors relating to metabolism of drugs.
