Hi greetings. Premarietal sexual intercourse is not good in terms so many reasons from sexually transmitted diseases to psycho social relationships. Now a days we see lot off stds in having relationship with multiple people. Even if you maintain a single person personally I suggest you not to indulge in it until and unless you secure an independent secure career. Have seen so many with broken career and family to because of this. Hope you are convinced. Regards.

Dear lybrate-user Ji, You had sex with your wife in risky period (7 th to 21 st days from starting the cycle of last period, if you had unprotected sex during this period there may be more chances to get about pregnancy, but it may also be simply delayed with out pregnancy. So get a simple pregnancy test ,if it negative give her – RAJAPRAVARTANI BATI 2-2-2, three times a day with water, Sy Eve-Care (Himalya drug co) 15-15-15 ml, it will regulate the period & also these are good for general fitness of ladies.

at 5 weeks reading is on higher side but it is good for you and for stability of pregnancy diet during 1st 3 months should be guarded to avoid vomitings ( may be it is way of nature to avoid masalas in a pregnant woman with a developing baby. who knows about excess and toxicity of otherwise safe products) take simple proteins like diluted milk ,some nuts and simple daal-roti-chawal with less fats and spices eat digestible fruits and vegetables which do not cause distention. take simple walks as exercise medicines to control nausea and vomting are given only if need be. do share with us if you have any such symptoms.

Hi Could you please tell me what does unwanted 72 I pill do and what are its side effect? What if a person had a sex and sperm went into vagina then after how much time I pill should be taken?

MBBS, DNB (Obstetrics and Gynecology), MNAMS, Training in USG
Gynaecologist, Delhi
Hi Unwanted 72 is high dose of hormones which do changes in endometrium so as to avoid pregnancy. But it should be used only in emergency as high hormone levels disrupts normal function if taken repeatedly. Otherwise no major side effect. It should be taken with in 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse.

Your condition of Prolonged bleeding is called Menorrhagia, also known as abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB, and it is a menstrual period that is abnormal in its quantity, timing, or duration of bleeding. In some cases, the cause of heavy menstrual bleeding is unknown, but a number of conditions may cause menorrhagia. Common causes include •Hormone imbalance. In a normal menstrual cycle, a balance between the hormones estrogen and progesterone regulates the buildup of the lining of the uterus (endometrium), which is shed during menstruation. If a hormone imbalance occurs, the endometrium develops in excess and eventually sheds by way of heavy menstrual bleeding. •Dysfunction of the ovaries. If your ovaries don't release an egg (ovulate) during a menstrual cycle (anovulation), your body doesn't produce the hormone progesterone, as it would during a normal menstrual cycle. This leads to hormone imbalance and may result in menorrhagia. •Uterine fibroids. These noncancerous (benign) tumors of the uterus appear during your childbearing years. Uterine fibroids may cause heavier than normal or prolonged menstrual bleeding. •Polyps. Small, benign growths on the lining of the uterus (uterine polyps) may cause heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. Polyps of the uterus most commonly occur in women of reproductive age as the result of high hormone levels. •Adenomyosis. This condition occurs when glands from the endometrium become embedded in the uterine muscle, often causing heavy bleeding and painful menses. Adenomyosis is most likely to develop if you're a middle-aged woman who has had children. •Intrauterine device (IUD). Menorrhagia is a well-known side effect of using a nonhormonal intrauterine device for birth control. When an IUD is the cause of excessive menstrual bleeding, you may need to remove it. ue to a miscarriage. If bleeding occurs at the usual time of menstruation, however, miscarriage is unlikely to be the cause. An ectopic pregnancy — implantation of a fertilized egg within the fallopian tube instead of the uterus — also may cause menorrhagia. •Cancer. Rarely, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and cervical cancer can cause excessive menstrual bleeding. •Inherited bleeding disorders. Some blood coagulation disorders — such as von Willebrand's disease, a condition in which an important blood-clotting factor is deficient or impaired — can cause abnormal menstrual bleeding. •Medications. Certain drugs, including anti-inflammatory medications and anticoagulants, can contribute to heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding. •Other medical conditions. A number of other medical conditions, including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), thyroid problems, endometriosis, and liver or kidney disease, may be associated with menorrhagia. So a thorough physical examination is required to know the Amount and Nature of bleeding and to reach to a diagnosis and treatment be given accordingly as prolonged bleeding can lead to Anaemia, Fatigue and shortness of breath in females So, I would suggest you to Undergo Abdomen Ultrasound to rule out any Medical conditions and following Blood tests Empty stomach to reach to a diagnosis of your problem CBC, THYROID PROFILE, PROLACTIN, LH, FSH, CREATININE, LFT
