When all the reports related to heart are normal it is less likely to be cardiac. The cervical x ray shows involvement of nerve roots supplying areas on chest, back, shoulders, axilla etc hence the pain is most likely to be neuaralgia. Stretch your neck and avoid forward bending of neck. If needed a cervical collar may be used to prevent forward bending of neck. Do not use pillows below head and do not sit in or lie down in abnormal postures in sofas while viewing television. This will definitely help in reducing your pain.

My left hand both bone broken below elbow. Both side plate fitted in 2000. Is it necessary to remove plate. Any side effect or problem in future.

DNB (Orthopedics), MS - Orthopaedics
Orthopedist, Visakhapatnam
Not absolutely necessary to remove plates, but it recommended to remove once proper bony union occurs .bcz of plate/ nail doesn't serve any function. Ideally implan removal between 3 to 18 months after bony union depends on bone, age and implant used, if there any clinical indications implants must be removed. Tq.

You can convinse her by making her understand the seriousness of her problem and in what way thiss walker will help her in her treatment------also tell her and convince her that this walker is not life long but only for sometime and once her problem iss normal, walker will automatically go out of her life--------------

I am always suffering back pain. Mostly in winter I have lots of pain. What to do?
First of all you need proper awareness regarding posture that how to sit, stand and work properly. Secondly check out your mattress which should be little bit firm not so hard or soft. Thirdly take towel then roll it sharply and put at your back (lumbar area) horizontally while lying in supine position for 15 minutes. You can go for hot water fomentation as well for 15 minutes too.

Hi I have a problem in my right shoulder. The pain is persistiall along. I find difficulty in lifting my hand above the shoulder level. A sharp pain in the joint of my arm and shoulder. I cannot sleep on my right side cause of the pain.

Hi thanks for your query. Shoulder pain at this age can be due to shoulder pathology or can come from degenerative discs in neck. You also have a restricted shoulder movement, can be due to adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder, degenerative rotator cuff etc. My advice, start intensive physical therapy in presence of a physiotherapist and see if there is any improvement, if not then we will have to look at getting some investigations done for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young and should not be having regular back pains but it's well known that our spine can have certain issues which leads to these painful attacks. From being just a simple muscular strain to a degenerative disc issue, it can be anything. My advise to you seeing your age and symptoms only localized to your lower back region with no radiculopathy or any other neurological symptoms, would be: - catch hold of a good physical therapist, start your back muscle training & strengthening, abdominal strengthening and general conditioning ex - take adequate care of your posture especially while at work, home etc - continue with your brisk walks initially for a less distance and increase it gradually. - you can take anti-inflammatory medication which suits you for 5-7 days and it should give you adequate pain relief. - x rays normally do not show anything unless there is a bony pathology in spine, hence to actually see whats wrong, it is better to get mri done, but maybe do your physical therapy well in pain free periods, and you may become better gradually. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

If you have lower back pain pain pls check your body weight and your haemoglobin levels, as Anaemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there may not be any pathological reasons for back pain. . My suggestion would be to wear MCR Chappals which will help you to prevent the weight falling on the If you have back pain while walking and standing
