Does lactocalamine can be applied on face instead of moisturizer or sunscreen? Thanks.

Does lactocalamine can be applied on face instead of moisturizer or sunscreen? Thanks.
Lacto Calamine is a daily nourishing formula which is enriched with the power of Kaolin and Aloe Vera making it very effective for dry skin. It moisturizes skin layers and keeps the skin hydrated. Whereas, Lacto Calamine oil control formula is effective for oily skin. It has the power of kaolin and glycerin. It controls the oil production of sebaceous glands and gives a matte look. So, if you have medium to oily skin, then oil control formula would be the best choice. Due to the presence of kaolin, it is deeply absorbed in the skin. It works as a light foundation and gives proper coverage to the uneven skin areas. You can use it as a foundation in daily routine. Lacto Calamine improves skin appearance. After the first application, you will feel your skin is visibly more fresh and smooth than before. Calamine contains zinc oxide, which provides protection against sunlight and UV rays. It cures sunburns and helps in skin rejuvenation. So you can use it as a sunblock as well. Zinc Carbonate in the lotion works as an astringent. Zinc Carbonate combats the germs and bacteria which causes acne, breakouts, and skin allergies. It also shrinks open pores to control excessive oil production from the skin. Aloe Vera and glycerin in the lotion helps in removing the dead skin layers. Lacto calamine helps in exfoliation and rejuvenation process. You can also try Lacto Calamine on your feet after giving them a nice foot bath. Lacto calamine daily nourishing formula helps in restoring the natural moisture level in the skin. It prevents the skin from damage, and fine lines caused due to lack of moisture.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user Removing the root cause is the main line of treatment in Ayurveda. Therefore eliminating all the foods and activities that increase pitta is the main treatment. Here are some general remedies for all kinds of skin diseases. 1-Prepare a powder by mixing equal quantities of turmeric, Amla, and Neem leaves. One teaspoonful of this powder can be taken twice a day with water. In case Amla and Neem are not available, only turmeric powder can be used in the dosage of half a teaspoonful twice a day with water. If Neem leaves are available, boil them in water everyday and wash the affected area. Soaps and shampoos should not be used on the affected area. 2-Take 50 grams of powdered yellow sulphur and mix it with 250 ml. Of mustard oil or coconut oil. Apply this mixtureto the affected area everyday in the morning and wash after half an hour. It is better to sit in the sun or in a hot place after applying this oil. 3-If purified sulphur (certified good for internal use) is available, it can be taken in the doses of 1-2 grams twice a day with water. 4-Taking soft or mild laxatives to clear the bowels is also beneficial in the treatment of skin diseases. A teaspoonful of Triphala powder can be taken at bed time every night, with warm water or milk. Any other natural laxative such as prunes, figs and raisins can also be taken. 5-The patient should get as much fresh air as possible. Restrictive and tight clothing should not be worn. 6-The patient should drink 3-4 litres of water everyday. 7-Aloe vera is also beneficial for skin diseases as it purifies the blood. Fresh aloe vera gel can be taken in the dose of two or three tablespoonfuls on an empty stomach everyday. For further consult contact me privately thanks regards.

Panderm plus contains corticosteroid which is not considered safe over a long period of time. Rather you should use herbal cream for fairness. Use kumkumadi tailam and phytobright whitening essence cream.

Use a salicylic acid/ glycolic acid based face wash. Get your comedones extracted regularly. Use a water based moisturizer, even oily skin needs hydration. scrub your face two times in week. Use a mud mask weekly. Take salicylic acid or glycolic acid peels every fifteen days or month to improve skin texture, control acne and reduce scars and marks. Take a well balanced nutritious diet and exercise daily. Avoid face massages or application of greasy cosmetics and oils.

Psoriasis - Know Its Homeopathy Remedies!

What is Psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a common skin disease characterized by thickened patches of inflamed, red skin covered with thick, silvery scales. The elbows and knees are the most common areas affected by psoriasis. It will often appear in the same place on both sides of the body. The patches can range in size from smaller than a dime to larger than a hand.

Description of Psoriasis-

Normally, skin cells mature and shed after about a month. In psoriasis, the cell maturation speeds up, taking only three to four days. Because the lower layer of skin cells divide more rapidly than normal, dead cells accumulate in thicker patches on the skin's outermost layer called the 'Epidermis'.

Forms & Classifications-

Psoriasis occurs in a variety of forms that differ in their intensity, duration, location, shape and pattern of scales. The most common forms are:

  1. Plaque Psoriasis: Plaque psoriasis is the most common form of psoriasis. It is characterized by raised, inflamed, red lesions covered with a silvery-white buildup of dead skin cells (scales). This is found primarily on the Body, elbows, knees, scalp and finger or toe nails.
  2. Guttate Psoriasis: Guttate psoriasis occurs most frequently in children and is characterized by numerous small, red, drop-like scaly macules that develop rapidly over a wide area of skin. This may appear following an infection, most frequently strep throat
  3. Inverse Psoriasis: Inverse psoriasis occurs in the armpit, under the breast, in skin folds, around the groin, in the cleft between the buttocks and around the genitals. It is usually pink and irritated but lacks the thick scale seen in other forms of psoriasis.
  4. Pustular Psoriasis: Pustular psoriasis is a rare form characterized by small pustules (whitehead-like lesions) found all over the body or confined all over the body or confined to the palms, soles and other isolated areas of the body.?
  5. Palmoplantar Psoriasis: This type of Psoriasis are most likely to show up on the palms and soles. It can also appear on the tops of your feet, backs of your hands, and on knuckles and nails. It may be triggered by an injury to the skin, an infection, or another skin condition such as hand dermatitis. It may first occur during a period of psychosocial stress. Lesions are like cuts which bleed.

 ?Psoriasis - Homeopathic Treatment

The patient should be encouraged to expose maximum to sunlight and avoid trauma during the active phase.

Homeopathic treatment of psoriasis – Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. The selection of remedy is based upon the theory of individualization and symptoms similarity by using holistic approach.

This is the only way through which a state of complete health can be regained by removing all the signs and symptoms from which the patient is suffering. The aim of homeopathy is not only to treat psoriasis but to address its underlying cause and individual susceptibility. As far as therapeutic medication is concerned; several well-proved remedies are available for psoriasis treatment that can be selected on the basis of cause, location, sensation, modalities and extension of psoriasis. For individualized remedy selection and treatment, the patient should consult a qualified homeopathic doctor in person.
