What you are taking are Ayurvedic preparations. There is no study to prove that they help in conceiving as such. It's better to have yourself and husband evaluated by gynaecologist.

I have batholine abscess on the left side. I have already removed the gland 4 years ago. It comes every year. Its fifth time it is coming. My stitches gets swollen and have pain. I'm taking cefoprox CV 325. Can you suggest permanent solution of this problem?

MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
It’s possible to treat a Bartholin’s abscess at home using sitz baths. In a sitz bath, you fill the tub with warm water up to hip level. It may take many days of sitz baths to treat the abscess because the opening of the Bartholin’s gland is very small, and it may close before drainage is complete. Soaking may not be the most effective cure, but a sitz bath can soothe your pain and discomfort. With a Bartholin’s abscess, you should soak in three or four sitz baths a day, for at least 10 to 15 minutes each. Medical Care If the abscess is very large or persists despite more than a week of conservative care, your doctor may decide it’s best to drain it surgically. This procedure can occur in your doctor’s office under local anesthesia, but general anesthesia in a hospital is also an option. Talk to your doctor about the best course for you. During the surgery, your doctor makes an incision in the abscess and places a catheter inside to drain the fluid. The catheter may remain in place for several weeks. Once the abscess heals, a surgeon can remove the catheter or allow it to fall out on its own.

My friend is 43 years old, she is suffering from uterus fibroid, one is 10.1 , 10.1 and second is 4.1 , 4.1 cm. She does not want surgery. Is there any alt. Medicine option to treat fibroid in ayurveda or homeopathy. If yes pls tell. She has very less iron store and is anemic and less energetic.

BHMS
Homeopath, Ghaziabad
There is treatment for fibroid in homoeopathy but complete cure depends upon how early you start treatment. As the size increases chances of successful treatment decreases. Fibroid is quite big, but there is hope, treatment will be long.

Hello, Lybrate user, you have to ascertain whether or not her pregnancy has been terminated, by now, first. She should go to an xpert to get the position checked thoroughly. However, she should follow the underlying natural norms to overcome her distress. •should tk, plenty of water to hydrate herself. • Her diet be simple non- irritant on small intervals. •She should remain in absolute rest. • Tk, homoeopathic medicine, @ Hemamelis Q-10 drops, thrice with little water. Report, wkly tk, care.

I am just married and planning to go in for a Copper T kinda device that helps to have safe sex and at the same time not become pregnant too soon. Would like to delay pregnancy for a couple of years. However have read a lot of negative side effects that are scary. Kindly suggest healthier and safer methods.

Ms. Lybrate-user, as per the conservative school of thought, copper t is not always recommended in patient who has never been pregnant before. If you are newly married oral contraception is the best option. Consult your doctor to choose the right preparation for you.

A balanced diet is a diet that has sufficient amounts of all components of food like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins & minerals with water. A healthy diet includes all these components of food without overloading oneself with just one component. Inclusion of dals, rice, milk, veggies, fruits & various oils in a balanced way will serve as a balanced diet.

Hello, no it is not necessarily implantation bleed unless 3-4 days post intercourse and needs to be differentiated from normal menses in that case.

Hello, Its better to rule out pregnancy first and if negative then the delay is likely to be stress induced and withdrawal bleed can be initiated with progesterones.

If she gets regular period she has to wait till 10/6 for her period and only if she misses that urine test is required.

Hello, There is likelihood that he may have secured a local injury while having sex possibly due to inadequate lubrication and this could be frictional injury. It is necessary that he should be examined by a doctor locally.

Just got an answer back from three doctors. Now I'm concerned about a deformed baby since I got off both on June 10, 2016 of the medications. I spoke to our gyno that they said I have to tell them so I have to take a birth control just in cause. I heard it will but, without a condom or using any birth control. Will that happen if our baby will be deformed or retarded?

The Connection of Yoga and Ayurveda

Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Ayurveda, Navi Mumbai
The Connection of Yoga and Ayurveda

It is often said that Ayurveda is a science and Yoga is an implementation of that science. In treatment, both these connected branches speak for the consistent practice of breathing techniques and medication along with indulging in body purification processes, use of medicinal herbs, well regulated dieting as well as chanting of mantras for uplifting the mind and body. In Yoga, the physical purification processes are known as 'Satkriyas' whereas the same in Ayurveda is called as 'Panchakarma'.

Understanding Yoga and Ayurveda: Yoga and Ayurveda are two interrelated branches of Vedic knowledge that encircles the whole universe.

  1. The formation of Ayurveda: Ayurveda is one of the four secondary Vedic teachings called the Upavedas that constitute Gandharva Veda, Dhanur Veda and Sthapatya Veda as well. Each of these Ayurvedas is directed towards specific walks and aims at the Vedic quest for liberation. Ayurveda is by far the most important of all four as it addresses all the disciplines of healing as well as holistic well-being of the mind and body.
  2. The birth of Yoga: Ever since its formation through the Yoga, it has been widely accepted as one of the six branches of Vedic preaching. It advocates the authority of the Vedas and aims at systematizing the true meaning of the Vedic preaching.

In this classical Vedic system, Ayurveda is specifically developed for healing purposes and there is no other branch of the Vedic system that can offer such comprehensive healing benefits.

Integral relationship between Yoga and Ayurveda: The term Yoga means combining, harmonizing and above all uniting. Thus a Yogic approach is an inherently integrative approach that harmonizes the body, mind and senses, and is not involved in implementation of sideline techniques but incorporates a synthesis of all aspects of the healing processes. This is the reason why Yoga originally has an eight-fold path directed towards bettering the quality of lives. Otherwise, it is caught in similar variants of physical reductionism that are often addressed in modern medicinal therapies.

Asana is referred to as the internal medicine of Yoga as it brings the vital energy directly into the body. It is aimed at alleviating the nervous, respiratory and circulatory systems of the human body. It is crucial to integrate Ayurveda and Yoga for bringing out the total spiritual and healing potential of the human body as well as each of these vast branches of Vedic knowledge.
