Why when I suddenly stand up after sleeping or sitting does my vision go black gradually with sudden dizziness for a few seconds?

DORL, MBBS
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Faridabad
This is mild syncopal attack and this is due to lack of hydration, well maintain your hydration by taking fresh fruits, salads and shakes and milk products in any form of milk, and iron rich diet as this will help you in over-parring the situation, get your electrolytes balance also in blood profile.

I am 28 years n my problem is right ear perforation, n I have no pain n pus coming out for ear should I have require any precaution n treatment?

MS , MBBS
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Bangalore
Hi, if you could take care to see that water does not enter the ear, even a single drop, and get immediately treated for cold, if you get one. Your ear wouldn't discharge if you would like to swim and not worry about above mentioned things you could as well get operated and get the perforation closed.

I have heart rate 90 to 100 as I measured on my digital device (mobile sensor ).and feeling tension stress, headache (mostly if I use pillow) fatigue, tired, restlessness and dizziness. What should I do? Is it tachycardia?

MBBS

Average normal heart rate varies from 60 to 84 any thing more than that needs attention but these mobile sensors are not very accurate you check it manually and if it is more than 90 then can consult a physician to get investigated mental tension stress strain anxiety all these things can effect your hear rate

I have been suffering from severe sinusitis and I got medication for it, then it controlled and now again I have recurring episodes of it like severe breathlessness during nights, throat pain etc. Is there any sort of permanent cure for sinusitis. Kindly suggest me if it is there.

D.N.B, D.L.O
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Bangalore
Hello lybrate-user there is no permanent treatment for sinusitis. It occurs due to allergy so as you cannot get rid of allergens like pollen dust its unlikely to cure it for ever. Jus that you can take precautions to avoid dust exposure, avoid strong odours, wash the linen regularly avoid pets. If sinusitis is secondary to deviations of central partition in nose you can try for surgery options. Take care.

pain is complex phenomenon, so there are many treatment options medications, therapies, and mind-body techniques. Apart from pain killers, there is evidence that certain dietary supplements and vitamins can help with certain types of pain. Fish oil is often used to reduce pain associated with swelling. A therapeutic diet complemented with few medications for pain management can also work wonders. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

do you have pain on cheek bones on pressing it? hot fomentation is really helpful in sinus besides drink fluids, such as water or juice. This will help dilute mucous secretions and promote drainage. Avoid beverages that contain caffeine or alcohol, as they can be dehydrating. Drinking alcohol can also worsen the swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose. Moisturize your sinus cavities. Drape a towel over your head as you breathe in the vapor from a bowl of medium-hot water. Keep the vapor directed toward your face. Or take a hot shower, breathing in the warm, moist air. This will help ease pain and help mucus drain. Apply warm compresses to your face. Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain. Rinse out your nasal passages. Use a specially designed squeeze bottle (sinus rinse, others), saline canister or neti pot to rinse your nasal passages. This home remedy, called nasal lavage, can help clear your sinuses. If you make your own rinse, use water that's contaminant-free distilled, sterile, previously boiled and cooled, or filtered using a filter with an absolute pore size of 1 micron or smaller to make up the irrigation solution. Also be sure to rinse the irrigation device after each use with contaminant-free water, and leave open to air-dry. Sleep with your head elevated. This will help your sinuses drain, reducing congestion. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

I am 23 year old men and I am suffering nasal allergies please sir/ma'am advice me to solve this problem.

DORL, MBBS
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Faridabad
Allergies are due to overreaction of the tissue towards any foreign body which enters in the body and mucus of nose which helps in trapping these foreign bodies and expelling them out from the body but if you have lack of mucus than allergies aggravates to even simple form of dust which enters in the nose dear chanchal this is due to dryness of the mouth, this is because of lack of mucus in the mouth which is protective layer of our mouth, and is being produced in the mouth by glands which will be helped by good and healthy blood supply to the glands, blood with good blood cells will take oxygen to the gland and gland works, they require oxygen in ample of amount, so if you do not take iron diet on daily basis than this will lead to less of mucus production and hence lead to dryness and thick mucus problem, this thick mucus leads to irritation in mouth hence leads to itching in the mouth, start taking good iron diet on daily basis, and shakes, avoid salty and spicy food.
