You have over-active sympathetic nervous system particularly central part of residing in brain and connected to emotion controlling part of brain known as limbic system, amgdala and hypothalamus. It is short of social phobia. You have to control on your exaggerated emotionality. You may need psychological consultation, counseling and psycho-therapeutic sessions. Drugs are there but drugs alone will do not do much and their effect is short lived. Pharmaco-therapy coupled with psycho-therapy gives the best results. At occasions like birthday or so, you may take anti-sympathetic medicine proranolol (Inderal 10 mg) 1/2 tab 1 hour before party. It would control your palpitations and trembling. You may have private conversation for further discussion.

Hello I am 41 year old. I am working in govt office. I am hard worker. My boss is not supporting me. Not taking interest in my work .i have to work myself own. He favours to others who I don't like due to they are non supportive, jealous, lie blaming about unnecessary putting doubts in between friends. Due to this I am feeling insecureness in office. I am under depression day to day. Some powers and facility not getting. Overtake and overlooking is going on. Discouraging me in every step. You need to behave differently in social situation like government office because people who are working there are of different mentality money minded, jealous, selfish and no guilty. So so you cannot show your true nature to them may be you are good in heart, helpful and honest, but these qualities does not favor them in any way either for their career or personally so you will be the odd man out. You need to be one among them just chatting but not involving in dishonest behaviour of them but otherwise you can chat with them. You need to show that you are also one among their conversation but assertive way you can be honest. Do not worry. I'm unable to study something that is not interesting for much time. Sometimes even the interesting ones cannot be studied. I think I'm having issues with attention. I am worried because this was probably not this worse few months back.

I have been suffering from social anxiety and depression. N few days back I came across a book 'The mood cure by Julia Ross. It suggests different treatments for anxiety through natural supplements along with the prescribed dosage. For the symptoms and problems that m going through, the author recommends a supplement named L- tyrosine and omega 3 fish oil. As well as 5-htp. These are all amino acids. I want to try them all but I still feel a bit doubtful since these are little expensive. Please suggest me if I should try them as per the prescribed dosage?

7 Ways to Remember Anything Research-based strategies to boost your memory and keep it strong 7 Strategies for Remembering 1.Become interested in what you're learning. We're all better remembering what interests us. Few people, for example, have a difficult time remembering the names of people they find attractive. If you're not intrinsically interested in what you're learning or trying to remember, you must find a way to become so. 2.Find a way to leverage your visual memory. You'll be surprised by how much more this will enable you to remember. For example, imagine you're at a party and are introduced to five people in quick succession. How can you quickly memorize their names? Pick out a single defining visual characteristic of each person and connect it to a visual representation of their name, preferably through an action of some kind. Remember: Memory is predominantly visual. 3.Create a mental memory tree. If you're trying to memorize a large number of facts, find a way to relate them in your mind visually with a memory tree. Construct big branches first, then leaves. Branches and leaves should carry labels that are personally meaningful to you in some way, and the organization of the facts ("leaves") should be logical. 4.Associate what you're trying to learn with what you already know. It seems the more mental connections we have to a piece of information, the more successful we'll be in remembering it. This is why using mnemonics. Write out the items to be memorized over and over and over. 5.When reading for retention, summarize each paragraph in the margin. This requires you to think about what you're reading, recycle it, and teach it to yourself again. Even take the concepts you're learning and reason forward with them; apply them to imagined novel situations, which creates more neural connections to reinforce the memory. 6.Do most of your studying in the afternoon. Though you may identify yourself as a "morning person" or "evening person" at least one Study. Suggests your ability to memorize isn't influenced as much by what time of day you perceive yourself to be most alert but by the time of day you actually study—afternoon appearing to be the best. 7.Get adequate sleep to consolidate and retain memories. Not just at night after you've studied but the day, you study as well. Far better to do this than to stay up cramming all night for an exam.

Lot of questions running in my mind while going to bed so I couldn't have sound sleep. Mostly, negative thoughts are coming in my mind in series and trying to resolve the problems and ultimately I couldn't slept. Pl suggest what to do to have sound sleep at least for 6-8 hrs.

I don’t know if you are fully aware: you have mentioned that you are suffering from a lot of questions running through your mind, which can cause a lot of anxiety or the other way around; the anxiety can cause a lot of questions, which in itself can disturb your sleep. Instead of worrying too much about causes, why don’t you implement some of my suggestions, because they work effectively. The lack of sleep, i. E. Sleep for less than 6 hours per night, is directly linked to about 86 diseases! So let us first focus on that. In your case particularly, do not sleep during the day; don’t even lie down. Go for regular exercise (breathing through your nostrils only) at a fixed time (at about 6 am) every day, whether you sleep or not. You must develop this habit of sleeping by 10 pm latest every night and wake up at a uniform time by 6 am every morning, even if you do not get sleep. If you do not get sleep, just lie down and if you have a bed lamp (or you could get one) lie down and read something light but not exciting. Your eyes will tire and you will fall asleep. If you like you may also put on light and soft music with the sleep function on. Depending on whether you are a visual or auditory person, you may watch TV in a lying down position until you feel sleepy. Have a warm bath before going to bed (for some people a cold bath at night seems to induce sleep! If you are one of them, please do so). Place the head side of your bed in a North-South position. The room must be as dark as possible and there should be no electronic items that give off even a light LED glow. There must be ample ventilation in the room. Avoid strong odors, except lavender, on your body or in the room, or on your sheets and clothes. There should not be any live plants in your bedroom. Sleep with the lightest of clothes or without any clothing. When lying down to sleep, lie down on your left ear as much as possible. Do not sleep directly under an overhead fan. You must eat a good breakfast, a fairly light lunch, and an early dinner, which should be a very light meal. Whatever you eat in the other meals, have only a pure carbohydrate meal at night with any vegetables, and preferably before 8 pm. Do not drink much liquids after or near about dinner time. When lying down to sleep you may use the 4-7-8 breathing pattern of sleep inducement i. E. Breathe in for four counts through your nostril only, hold for 7 counts, and exhale with a whoosh sound, through your mouth only, for 8 counts. Repeat this four times in the morning and just before you sleep at night. If you know Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT, then please practice this too for sleep induction. Self-hypnosis and slow relaxation techniques, at night will be tremendously useful. Acupuncture or acupressure will both be very useful too. Pray last thing at night before you sleep.

Dear Mr Sachin....as you have stated your problem i would advise you to join gymn instantly and do weight training exercises for your pectoralis major muscle....also you could do push-ups at home....you can also do cardio exercise like running, swimming, skipping....the main reason behind your problem is accumulation of fat in your breast....so you have to burn the fat and pump the underlying pectoralis muscle of your chest.....also take care of your diet and avoid fatty foods.......at the same time conduct a blood test to know your Testosterone level....revert back after your blood test

How to increase concentration. And remember whatever study. Suggest some medicine which help but did not harm. And some exercise.

Dear lybrate-user, welcome to lybrate. You must be able to understand concentration, attention span, recollection and distraction. If you are able to watch a movie for two hours continuously, if you are able to play a game for an hour, then you do not have any concentration problems. You can't be attentive towards your studies because you are not interested in it. You are able to watch movie and play game because you are interested in it. Human cannot be attentive towards anything for more than 10 minutes. If the task is boring, it is natural that that person will sleep or feel sleepy. Then you should study in such a way that your attention is continued and make the subjects are interesting to you. Effective learning techniques should help you. Recollection depends on anxiety, stress and other physical and circumstantial factors. Distractions while studying are plentiful. You should be able to overcome distractions or avoid distractions. Please understand the above. Change your study style and attitude accordingly. Take care.

Hello, Use Bakson Sunny Herbal Lip balm . You are quite young and will get ample opportunities. Judging and comparing youself with others is never useful. Try to focus, enhance and work hard in areas which interest you. Sometimes you have to wait longer for opportunities that are interesting as well as useful.

This is generally a pleural pain. Stop smoking. Do regular aerobic exercises steam inhalations 4 to 5 times a day of few days will suffice. If still you have pain do follow up. Regards.

What is a panic attack?

Panic attack is a sudden onset of intense fear, or terror that occurs without apparent cause. Physical symptoms may include shortness of breath, palpitations or accelerated heart rate, chest pain or discomfort. Psychological symptoms may include a suffocating sensation or a sense of unease and lack of touch with reality. Once you have recognized the symptoms as a panic attack, here are a few techniques you can try:

  • Shift your focus:

Try focusing on a neutral object or person. Try focusing on a colour which relaxes you and focus on it surrounding you. Now try focusing on a silly word or something that makes you laugh. Notice how your focus shifts and how your body responds.

  • Imagine the positive:

Replace a negative state with a more positive one. Imagine a time when you felt confident, safe or calm. Imagine the sounds, tastes, views and feelings of that moment. Now submerge in that moment till your body relaxes.

  • Use these grounding techniques:

Look around you and identify:

  • 5 things you see

  • 4 things you feel

  • 3 things you hear

  • 2 things you smell

  • 1 thing you taste

Deep breathing:

Breathe in for 4 seconds then exhale all the way out. Now breathe in for 6 seconds, then exhale all the way out. Now breathe in for 8 seconds, then exhale all the way. Feel even the smallest muscles relaxing and continue breathing slowly.
