Dear doctors, before listen my disease I want to tell that every doctors takes it very lightly but sometimes come in my mind to commits suicide because of this disease. My disease is oral related: 1. Inside my upper lips always I feels like a stripe and a bit swell also. Its make to uncomfortable. And always has to grope there from my tongue. 2. My other disease is between the both uper middle teeth, gums is swell and its makes me always suck air with help of tongue. Since last two year I am facing this problem. I am 28 year s/w engineer. I went to dentist, skin specialist, general physician. They cleen my teeth, suggest to change tooth brush in every 3 month. And skin docter gives me 3 month medicine and injection also. But no comes with relief. Please help me.

Hi I think the stripe that you feel is probably a normal structure called the frenum. This structure is present in everyone; maybe somewhat more prominent in some people than in others. I would like you to relax and make a conscious effort to avoid probing the area with your tongue. If you can retrain your tongue, this problem should take care of itself. If you are particularly uncomfortable, you can discuss the feasibility of excising the frenum. You will need to see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for this. As for the other problem, that too could be either an unusually pronounced frenum extending between the two upper incisors, or probably another normal structure called the incisive papilla. If its the former, the fenum excision should take care of this as well. If it is the latter, the options are somewhat restricted, as outright excision may be less feasible.

Take high fiber low fat diet. Do regular exercise. Take plenty of water every day. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals of 2-3 hrs.

Knee pain is one of the most common and painful ailments that can limit mobility. Injuries can result in cartilage or meniscal tears or sprains too. Obesity is another reason because of which knee pain is on the rise. Also, regular wear and tear of ligaments and tendons around the knees due to old age is another cause. These days, with reduced physical activities and sedentary lifestyles, the rate at which knees are wearing out has also become accelerated. Whatever the reason, a correct diagnosis followed by prompt treatment can help. Over the years, physiotherapy has been playing an important role in treating knee injuries. Whether to supplement the various drugs to reduce pain and inflammation or to avoid surgery, physiotherapy has helped many and its popularity is growing every day. Here are some ways that physiotherapy can help reduce pain.

  • Improve flexibility of tendons: The knee cap is an area where there are lot of tendons and ligaments, coordinating to enable movement. Careful exercising can ensure that the flexibility of tendons and ligaments is improved, thereby making your knee movement easier and less painful.
  • Improves blood supply: As we all know, proper movement requires good blood supply. Exercising with special focus on the knee ensures that blood supply is improved, and thereby the supporting ligaments and tendons function optimally.
  • Enhances the knee cap function: The knee cap is that portion which joins your thigh bone to your calf bones. This is prone to slip out of place, especially with arthritis and injuries. This can be painful and limit movement to a great degree. Focused exercises aimed at improving knee cap function will ensure that the knee cap has a wider range of function, and does not slip out of its socket easily.
  • Reduce rigidity: Once you start physiotherapy, you will feel your knees getting more flexible. The rigidity that had set in as a result of injuries and/or old age will also reduce over a period of time.
  • Slow down the wear and tear: When you start physiotherapy after knee damage, continuing the exercise routine, of course with expert guidance, can reduce the pace at which further damage might happen. A word of caution though. Be sure to consult an experienced physiotherapist before you begin. Exercising in a bad manner can do equal or more harm than the original injury or old age itself.

As per the advise of Dr. I am taking NEXPRO-L before breakfast, One librax before lunch & One Rifagut & One Imodium after lunch and One tricho-0.25 at bed time. Hair fall is due to many reasons now a day it is common due to stress and busy life check your haemoglobin level if less then take hamatinic any multinational company take proper diet (dal vegetables sprouts fruits) and do exercise minimum 15 min if possibles do yoga for 10 min increase water intake minimum 3 to 4 litres per day also take homoeo medicines homoeo medicines are known for to stop hair fall and it actually happens phosphrus 30 (30 no glouble) 2 tds x 2 weeks and reply also comb your hair gently and 2/3 time per day wash with homoeopathic shampoo (sbl or any company) twice a week preaper oil by mixing arnica montana q 30 ml + any regular hair oil and apply before wash

It is usually due to hyperacidity and avoid spicy food in your diet and also avoid peanuts and potatoes in your diet and take tablet pan-d before breakfast on empty stomach for three months and always to take a gap of a week before starting it again only if necessary.

Are steroids the only medicines for rheumatoid arthritis? my crp is positive and ra 284 now. Pl advise.

Dear renu, are only a part of the medication for rheumatoid arthritis (ra). There are many medicines which can control ra and are usually given in combination. It is very important to take these medicines regularly even if your pain has subsided. Steroids are given to reduce severe pain and swelling and are usually prescribed for a short duration. Some patients may need prolonged steroid therapy.

For pimples- aclind gel faceclin gel for application twice daily over affected area. Rejuglow facewash / episoft oc cleanser / saslic ds wash. Tab- ascazin twice daily for once month.

Take ginseng daily better stamina. Avoid stress, take one egg daily in morning breakfast. Dalia. Green veg. Whole grain foods, salaad, chicken 350 gm twice a week.
