Hello. For removing water from the ear: -Create a vacuum in your ear. Face the affected ear down on your palm and then use your palm to gently push in and out until water begins to come out. Don’t do this with the ear facing upwards or you may drive it farther back into the canal. This will create a suction-like vacuum that will draw the water in your ear toward your hand. -Gravity may cause the ear to drain naturally. Just lie down with the offending ear facing straight down for the most impact, unless you want to use a pillow for a bit of cushion. Stay in that position for at least a few minutes.

Rarely in some diseases, there can be increase, due to sinus or turbinates (air moisteners in nose) problem, which is better decided by a good ent surgeon. Make sure you really have increase of bone size recently or not before proceeding to them.

He snores heavily very loud already consulted doctor but coud not get a correct answer for it? What s it?

MBBS, MS - ENT
Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) Specialist, Ahmedabad
From your data you appear to be obese. Obesity is the most common cause for snoring. Start programe to reduce weight first. Try to sleep on side to reduce snoring. Most importantly if your partner observe that you stop breathing briefly during snoring or if you don't wake up fresh if you feel sleepy most of the day or you sleep easily during day time than you should undergo sleep test to rule out if you are suffering from a condition called sleep apnea.

Its only Hyperacidity which causing giddiness and all your problems. So take plenty of water in a day take atleast 2.5 - 3 litres. Take two glasses of water first thing in the morning before taking any thing including tea/coffee. Avoid taking tea/coffee on empty stomach, take it after taking some solid food. In the evening also take along with buiscuit or some such solids. Avoid spices/ chillies/mirchi/masala etc. Avoid outside food and avoid junk food. If you are constipated get treated for the same. If you are stressed out, try to relax by meditation/yoga etc. Take timely meals. Do not leave stomach empty for long, ideally it should be small frequent meals. Night food should not be taken full stomach. Leave atleast 1/4 to 1/3 stomach empty. Do not skip breakfast and take breakfast full stomach. Have morning walk so that the intestines will move. For immediate relief you can take tablet Pan 40 mg two times a day before food. Good luck.

Bpv is a disease which has little or no treatment in allopathy. Holistic medicine provides complete relief. Find a good holistic therapist around. In the meantime start yogasans about 30 m every day including suryanamaskar, pranayam and dhyan. You will get relief in 15 days. Avoid tobacco, alcohol and tranquillizers. Sleep before 10 pm.

My girlfriend aged 20 years has a problem of nose bleeding for more than 10 years now some physician did not find whats wrong with her Wat should she do?

MD - General Medicine, MBBS
General Physician, Karimnagar
Hello, nose bleeding is also known as epistaxis. It commonly occurs due to nose picking. We all normally have number of blood vessels in the nose. Trauma to these vessels can cause bleeding. Even sudden raise in blood pressure can cause bleeding. Epistaxis is of two types anterior and posterior. If blood gushes out from nostrils it is anterior epistaxis. Kindly consult a ent doctor, he will examine her and decide whether laser therapy is required. With laser we can obliterate those blood vessels so that they won't bleed again. Keep botroclot drops with her always as the bleeding starts she needs to soak gauze piece with those drops, keep it inside nostril and pinch nose from outside. This may help to control bleed acutely. Some rare condition called hereditary hemorrhagic telengectasia when the defect in blood vessel walls make them fragile and cause spontaneous rupture and bleeding more care is required. Hope this helps.

From past 2 years I have a problem of bleeding in left nose. I have normal b. P but I am unable to find out what it is caused for. My doc said its just an infection caused in nose. I need a complete answer for these.

General Physician,
Most commonly, trauma to the nose triggers a nosebleed. Trauma to the outside of the nose, such as a blow to the face, or trauma inside the nose, such as nose picking or repeated irritation from a cold, can cause a nosebleed. Less commonly, an underlying disease process, such as an inability of the blood to clot, may contribute to the bleeding. Inability of the blood to clot is most often due to blood-thinning drugs such as warfarin (Coumadin) or aspirin. Liver disease can also interfere with blood clotting. Abnormal blood vessels or cancers in the nose are rare causes of nosebleeds. High blood pressure may contribute to bleeding but is almost never the only reason for a nosebleed. There are many causes of nosebleeds. A sudden or infrequent nosebleed is rarely serious. If you have frequent nosebleeds, you could have a more serious problem. Dry air is the most common cause of nosebleeds. Living in a dry climate and using a central heating system can dry out the nasal membranes, which are tissues inside the nose. This dryness causes crusting inside the nose. Crusting may itch or become irritated. If your nose is scratched or picked, it can bleed. Taking antihistamines and decongestants for allergies, colds, or sinus problems can also dry out the nasal membranes and cause nosebleeds. Frequent nose blowing is another cause of nosebleeds. Other common causes of nosebleeds include: foreign object stuck in the nose chemical irritants allergic reaction injury to the nose repeated sneezing picking the nose cold air upper respiratory infection large doses of aspirin Other causes of nosebleeds include high blood pressure, a bleeding disorder, blood clotting disorder, and cancer. Most nosebleeds do not require medical attention. However, you should seek medical attention if your nosebleed lasts longer than 20 minutes or occurs after an injury. This may be a sign of a posterior nosebleed, which is more serious.
