1.In most of the cases the virus automatically gets cleared from the blood without any treatment and without affecting liver 2.In some patients the virus remains in the blood for long time and causes chronic Hepatitis B infection leading to liver damage by cirrhosis of liver/Carcinoma of Liver 3. Monitor your Hbs Ag and liver function test periodicaly. 4.if blood test continues to be positive for HbsAg and there is deteriorating function of liver,Patient has to be treated by Antiviral drug after consulting Hepatologist/Gastro enterologist 5. Take precaution like use of consom during sex 6. Consult Gastro enterologist/Hepatologist for advice and treatment

I am 21 year old student. Me and my boyfriend had sex last week and we didn't took protection. I need to take i-pill because of that. I started bleeding from next day. I initially thought it to be periods, but I already had my date starting of the month. I am scared and I need your opinion in this.

Hello, Withdrawal bleeding post ipill starts after 5-7 days. If you had sex in the mid cycle then this bleed may just be an ovulation bleed or possibly due to cervical or vaginal abrasions following intercourse.

9 Benefits of Cow Urine

Cow Urine is used for purposes of therapy in traditional Indian medicine and is called Gomutra. The use of cow urine for therapeutic purposes has a long history in Indian culture. In India, cow is considered to be a sign of spirituality. Urine from a cow that is pregnant is believed to contain special minerals and hormones. It should be noted that cow urine therapy is not a nourishing process. Instead, it is cleansing and detoxifying in nature.

Pharmaceutical Benefits of Gomutra are:

  1. Used in Ayurvedic treatment of cancer and leprosy.
  2. Anaemia can be treated using a mixture containing Triphala (Ayurvedic herbal rasayana formula made of three equal parts of Bibhitaki, Haritaki and Amalaki), Cow milk and Gomutra. The mixture is known as Mahayograj Guggul.
  3. It is used in the treatment of fever. A mixture that contains Gomutra along with ghee, yoghurt and black pepper is used. Sore throats can be treated by gargling a mixture of cow urine distillate along with honey and turmeric powder.
  4. A mixture of daruharidra and gomutra can be used to treat epilepsy.
  5. In Nigeria, convulsions in children are treated using a concoction made of garlic, tobacco, rock salt, cow urine and lemon basil juice.
  6. Gomutra is also helpful in treatment of peptic ulcer, asthma and certain liver ailments.
  7. Some Indian scientists from CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) received a US Patent for a mixture of cow urine distillate, which acts as an antibiotic. The purpose of the cow urine is to behave like a bio-enhancer, which promotes the antimicrobial functions of antifungal and antibiotic agents.
  8. A US patent was acquired in 2010 by a research department of Deolapar and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) for a drug based on gomutra, which validated its claims of being an anti-cancer drug. The mixture is claimed to prevent DNA damage caused by oxidation.
  9. A water extract of Daruharidra (Tree Turmeric) called Rasanjana is administered with cow urine as a medication to treat Kapha originated skin diseases.

She is pregnant from 2 months she has also take a medicine 75 mg of thyroid what's your suggestions at this stages.
It is absolutely alright to continue thyroid medication during pregnancy. In fact it may be hazardous to stop it, abortions, growth retardation, mental defects may occur with the baby. But three monthly thyroid test assays are to be done to see whether there is a tight control or note. The dosage needs titration during pregnancy.

Because of hormonal and emotional change during pregnancy most of the hair go in resting phase so hair loss is common. You will gain your hair again 3 to 4 months after delivery. But doctor has to rule out anaemia, thyroid disorder, worms infestation. Urine infection, deficiency of protein, vit b12, folic acid and minerals. Diet rich in iron, proteins and amla will help you.

Done one cycle of IVF and result was negative. Current AMH is 1.88 and age is 31. Pls suggest whether we should go for more IVF cycles or donor egg treatment directly AND will there will be any side effects on body because of medicines/injections in IVF cycle. Pls suggest practical solutions. Thank you.

MBBS, MS - Obstetrics and Gynaecology
IVF Specialist, Delhi
Hi, the chance of success in an ivf cycle is only 40 to 50 % and the amh is also fine that is it is not too low so one the basis of amh you need not go for donor eggs, instead try again.
