A women 65 years age suffering a giddiness and left arm pain suggest remedies plz.
Get your ECG done first to rule out any cardiac condition like ischaemic heart disease. Many times anginal pain can be referred to left arm. Considering your age and associated giddiness get ECG done as early as possible and consult.

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For emergency treatment contacts your nearest hospital or family doctor. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Yoga is very good for health. But it should always be done under supervision of a expert. Perfection in poses should be done gradually.

I am 30 years old. My right knee pain for last 1 year. What should I do?

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist,
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You are very young and if there is no history of any injury to the affected knee and there are no s/s of either inflammation or infection like swelling, skin redness, local warmth etc, my advice will be: - to start with intensive physical therapy - gentle anti inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or tab paracetamol whichever suits you - adequate calcium and vitamin d intake - activity modification as in to stop physical activities which increases pain till you feel better let me know in 2-3 weeks time how you are feeling otherwise we will get some x rays and blood tests for you. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

I had an ankle ligament sprain or injury on 31.12. 2015 and got plastered for 1month. Now its removed and my doctor directed to walk. Now 40 days over. Still I can't walk properly because a small pain still existing when applying force. Slight swelling also there. I'm taking medicines tendon and Indomethacin Tab's. When will I can walk properly, go upstairs and run? What should I do next? Any more treatment is required? At what stage the surgical treatment is considered?

Fellowship in Joint Replacement, Fellowship in hand surgery, MS - Orthopaedics, MBBS
Orthopedist, Bangalore
What the doc has done is correct. Swelling is expected and will subside. You need to differentiate between the pain which was initially present usually on the sides of ankle at the time of injury and pain due to stiffness because your ankle was immobilized for 1 month. Well I would suggest you to wear an anklet when you r walking standing or working, remove while resting. Keep your foot elevated over pillows when you r resting. Surgery I don't think is required but if pain persists for more than 3months and is unbearable then it might be looked into after getting mri scan.

Physiotherapist,
I have a tremendous pain as well as burning sensation in my heels.
Dear if you have diabetes, it may be due to that. If not, then it is commonly due to weakness of calf muscles, or footwear, or heavy weight, do ice massage for 5 minutes thrice a day and calf exercises.
