Start taking a course of multivitamin capsule once daily for 1 week apply dologel ct 3-4 times a day. Avoid spicy and hot food. Start using mouthwash do dilute it with water twice daily after meals. Consult a dentist if it persists even after 1 week. Then we need to rule out the cause regards.

I have problem in my teeth (daad) it is fully empty it is giving me so pain what I should do.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I have problem in my teeth (daad) it is fully empty it is giving me so pain what I should do.
The type of treatment you have for toothache will depend on the cause of the pain, so your dentist will examine your mouth and may carry out an X-ray to try to identify the problem. •If your toothache is caused by tooth decay, your dentist will remove the decayed area and replace it with a filling. •If your toothache is caused by a loose or broken filling, the filling will be taken out, any decay will be removed and a new filling put in place. •If the pulp inside your tooth is infected, you may need root canal treatment. This procedure involves removing the infected pulp and then inserting a special type of filling to seal the tooth and prevent re-infection. •If your toothache can't be treated using these methods, or if your tooth is impacted (wedged between another tooth and your jaw), it may need to be removed. •Medications for toothache: Advise C. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice, T. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice, T. Imol 1-1-1, thrice (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, and allergy), and C. Becosules 1-0-0 once, all for 3 days only.

I am getting blood in my teeth, sometimes during brush time and during eating. What should i do? Please advise.
Bleeding is due to gum disease known as gingivitis with plaque deposition. Scaling is the best option for plaque removal. Rinse your mouth with chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day after each meal. Keep your mouth clean.

My mouth has always cracked and feel to eat fast when chewing, Some kind of ulcer, small pimples are around tongue. Is it due to excess consume of spicy, salt etc?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Regular consumption of spicy food can cause ulcer. Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need Coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with Multivitamin cap, for five days in the morning after meals & antiseptic ointment or gel on the area of ulcer until then. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Advance procedures can be done with laser

Why Tooth Picking Is Bad for Oral Health
A lot of people love to use tooth picks in order to clear out food stuck in their teeth after meals. Some people even consider to do it as a habit that they will use it, even if they no longer have to. These people do not know that there are possible hazards to using it. In order to convince them to avoid using tooth picks, here are 5 reasons why it is bad for oral health.
It can be a source of oral infections. In fact, it could also be a reason for a person to acquire more severe oral discomforts such as mouth cancer. Keep in mind that tooth picks are never sterile as they are only be stored on tables and closets kept inside their boxes or cases. It would never be ideal to put such thing inside your mouth for health reasons.
Constant tooth picking can break the enamel of your teeth. The enamel which is a hard yet thin layer covering the crown of a tooth is a vital tissue as it serves as the main protection or coat of the tooth. Due to its thinness, it can easily break this tissue given that tooth picks are made up of hard substance. Once the user applies pressure on the tooth, the enamel will easily break off of it. Just imagine all of the damage your teeth enamel has taken so far if you are using it three times a day.
It can be damaging to the gums. Whenever a person is using tooth picks, it is inevitable for them to sometimes hit their gums with it. Worse is when they apply too much pressure and they would accidentally have their gums wounded. If you have wounded or damaged gums, the chances of being able to acquire diseases would be higher most especially if the gums become infected. This is why most dentists advise their patients and clients to use dental flossers instead as they are proven to be more safe

I am suffering regularly with heavy mouth ulcer. What should I do? I have consulted so many doctors for this but still not get benefited.

I am 24 year old male. I have problem in my teeth. There are some black spots on teeth. So please help.
Black spots can indicate tooth decay or may simply be a stain. Clinical check up will help decide the nature of the spot. If it appears to be decayed, the teeth can be filled and restored to normal.

Cigarette Smoking - How it Affects Your Teeth

MDS - Periodontology and Oral Implantology, BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Cigarette Smoking - How it Affects Your Teeth

‘Smoking is injurious to health’, is a caption that is flashed on all cigarette packets. However, what is not told about is their adverse effects on the mouth.  The mouth with the lips, teeth, and gums are not just the first points of contact for a cigarette but also one of the majorly affected parts.

Listed below are how smoking affects the teeth and the mouth at large.

  1. Bad breath (halitosis)

  2. Tooth discoloration (brown to black spotting)

  3. Tobacco deposits on the teeth leading to irritation of the gums

  4. Increased formation of plaque and tartar on the teeth, leading to significant gum disease

  5. Gum disease leads to tooth loss

  6. Increased jaw bone loss

  7. Lower success rate of dental implant procedures

  8. Delayed healing after any oral procedure including extraction, periodontal treatment, or oral surgery

  9. Increased risk of leukoplakia, white patches inside the mouth, which is a precursor to oral cancer

  10. Increased risk of developing oral cancer

  11. Reduces blood flow to the gums, thereby affecting healing

The tiny tobacco deposits sit on the tooth surface and with time, produce brownish stains. These are a constant source of irritation for the gums, causing gum disease. Unlike the regular plaque caused by food, this is much harder and more abrasive on the gums. This leads to damage of the periodontal tissue, which are connecting fibers between the teeth and the gums.  This leads to gradual tooth mobility and eventually loss.

Correlation:  If you are a smoker,

  1. You are at risk for gum disease twice compared to a nonsmoker.

  2. More cigarettes you smoke, greater the risk for gum disease.

  3. More number of years you smoke, greater the risk for gum disease.

  4. Poor response to regular treatment for gum disease.

Management:  The gum disease can eventually lead to tooth loss.  Therefore, the gums need to be protected at all cost to maintain oral health.  Some things to do are listed below, starting from the seemingly innocuous to the severe infections.

  1. Regular cleanings at your dentist's office once in 6 months

  2. Daily brushing and flossing to manage early gum disease

  3. Deep cleaning below the gum line and prescription mouth rinses if there is already existing gum inflammation

  4. Surgery to remove deeply seated plaque and tartar.

  5. Surgery with bone graft to replace the bone lost to periodontitis.

  6. Most important of all, quitting smoking.  This will produce remarkable benefits when the above are followed.

However, if the above are done with continued smoking, the effects will not last long.

Cigarette smoking is one habit, which has way too many effects on way too many working’s of the body and therefore kicking the habit is the best way to manage, not just your teeth, but your overall health.

Have coffee - spoil your teeth, have tea - keep them healthy! Tea consists of heavy amounts of flouride and flavonoids which keep the gums and teeth healthy and prevent harmful bacteria from sticking to the teeth.
