I m 100 kg now and I want to loose 20 kg in 2 to 3 months . I had high uric acid up 8 and have skin problem.

M.Sc - Dietitics / Nutrition
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Bangalore
High level of uric acid in the blood is gout & Gout is a kind of arthritis. Dietary measures to overcome gout: high intake of vitamin C -1500mg/day extra fluid can help flush uric acid crystal out. Cherry juice help you alleviate pain & inflammation omega 3- fish like salmon,or fatty acids in flax seeds or nuts help reduce inflammation follow a diet low in fat,low in protein & high in carbohydrate foods which can consumed moderately: beans, mushrooms, cauliflower, cabbage, banana, grapes foods to be consumed occasionally : roots & tubers, country beans, custard apple, chicko exercise is a must, and losing 20 kg in 2-3 months is very unhealthy. Slow and steady can help you lose weight

My teenage daughter has dandruff. Her scalp is always oily and therefore has sticky texture and odour. Please advice. Thank you.

MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
apple cider vinegar as a dandruff treatment, as the acidity of apple cider vinegar changes the pH of your scalp, making it harder for yeast to grow. Mix a quarter cup apple cider vinegar with a quarter cup water in a spray bottle and spritz on your scalp. Wrap your head in a towel and let sit for 15 minutes to an hour, then wash your hair as usual. Do this twice a week.

My skin is so oily. Every time I have to wash my face regular. Unless feel so oily what should I do.

My skin is so oily. Every time I have to wash my face regular. Unless feel so oily what should I do.
Hi. There are four main factors which causes acne: Oil production Dead skin cells Clogged pores Bacteria Factors that may worsen the acne: Androgen hormones, certain medications (drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne), dietary factors, including dairy products and carbohydrate-rich foods — such as bread, bagels and chips — may trigger acne and Stress can make acne worse. Management: Wash your face with Bakson's Facewash (wash your face with warm water only) and followed by CTMP, i.e., cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally Sunscreen Gel with SPF-30) after washing your face daily. Home-made remedies: - Take 1 tbsp of fuller's earth (multani mitti) + a dash of lime + bit of rosewater – apply this on your face till it gets dried up, then rinse it off. - Take 1 tsp of Alum (or fitkari), make it slightly wet with water and apply this on your wet face, spread it well; let it dry and rinse it off. Alum remove your excessive moisture or oil and it also tightens the skin's tonicity. Medication: You can take homoeopathic medicines – Berberis Aquefolium Q/ 10 drops in 1/2 cup of water/ thrice a day (and for local application as well) and Kali Brom. 200/ thrice a day – for 20 days. Use Bakson's Apricot scrub at least once a week.

I have allergies and my eyes are affected the most. They're puffy, red and itchy. What can I do?

I have allergies and my eyes are affected the most. They're puffy, red and itchy. What can I do?
Hello. I think you have allergic conjunctivitis. Eye allergies, called allergic conjunctivitis, are a common condition that occurs when the eyes react to something that irritates them (called an allergen). The eyes produce a substance called histamine to fight off the allergen. As a result, the eyelids and conjunctiva (the thin, filmy membrane that covers the inside of your eyelids) become red, swollen and itchy, with tearing and burning. The key to treating eye allergies is to avoid or limit contact with the substance causing the problem. Avoid rubbing eyes instead do cold compresses. Use antiallergic eyedrop along with lubricating eyedrop. This will help you I am very sorry dear to say that there is no drud that can cure allergy. Only way is to stay away from all those things that you r allergic to.

According to homoeopathy, 1) you have to be free from mental stress 2) start meditation 3) take diet which contain more protein (e. G. Legumes, eggs etc.) 4) you can consult a good homoeopathic doctor

My age is 27. I am facing the problem of hair fall, dandruff. I used shampoos n other stuff but the dandruff not stop...
Take care of your hair: *take nutritious healthy food. *have regular vigorous physical exercises, so that blood circulation reaches the hair follicles and nourishes the hair. *avoid mental stress and smoking and such unhealthy habits. *have adequate rest and timely sleep. You may have limitations because of your profession, but stick to it as far as possible. *use warm or cold water for bathing and not very hot water. *hard water is harmful. Boiling will reduce the hardness. * when the hair is wet, it is weaker and don't rub too much with towel. * use wide toothed comb so that there is no pulling pressure on the hair. *your usual hair dye has large doses of ammonia, which changes hair texture, dries out the scalp and almost leads to hair fall. Your hair falls and have dandruff. We have good treatment in homoeopathy without causing adverse effects. These medicines are given internally and they improve the system to promote healthy growth of the hair, prevent hair fall and treat dandruff. If you are interested, please let me know: *what is your age, height, weight, profession and whether it is a touring job? *since how long you have this problem? * do you have dry skin? * have you history of any serious illness. * do you have anaemia? can be checked from report of blood test. * is it hereditary in your family? I will prescribe medicines which will be available in homoeopathic shops.
