Anger is one letter away from Danger

MBBS
General Physician, Mumbai
Anger is one letter away from Danger
How to control anger? Although the senses require a certain amount of satisfaction, unless regulated they become like wild horses, forcing one to obey their whims. Craving the objects of their satisfaction, the senses take control of the mind and intelligence, leading to frustration and anger when their impossible demands go unmet. From this anger, delusion arises, and from delusion, bewilderment of memory. When memory is bewildered, human intelligence is lost, leaving one in a hell of irrational behavior. As fever is a symptom of some disease in the body, anger is a symptom of ongoing material hankerings. Just as treating fever alone will not cure the disease, treating anger without understanding it to be a symptom of lust will not extinguish the unwanted behavior. To conquer anger, we must first ask how we shall conquer lust

Lord Buddha said that retaining anger is like ‘holding a live coal intending to throw it at someone else.
How can we deal with anger? Thomas Jefferson suggests, “When angry, count ten before you speak; if very angry, count hundred.” Consciously delaying action is useful in checking angry outbursts.

Humorous but works : When you are angry , pay a handsome amount to a good cause. In this way you would never get angry

When things go wrong, it is natural to feel angry. Yet just because it is natural doesn’t make it desirable. Of course, neither is it desirable to be passive amidst injustices; we need to be assertive and do what we can to set the situation right. But our response should alleviate the problem, not aggravate it.

And anger almost always aggravates the problem. When we become angry, we frequently lose control of ourselves. Or more precisely anger takes control of us using a provocative situation as a front.

And then anger makes us do things that we would never do normally. Things that may break others’ hearts. Things that may become lifelong wounds in our relationships. Things that we may regret for years.

In addition to all these long-term fallouts, anger extracts a heavy cost in the short-term too. After giving us a fleeting feeling of control and power, anger abandons us, embarrassingly and distressingly ensnared in a predicament worse than the original problem.

In fact, anger sometimes does worse than worsening the existing problem. Anger may create an entirely new problem – a problem that is bigger than the original problem. The original problem may might have been an unpleasant situation, but our angry response that starts off as a justified expression of displeasure (“I can’t tolerate such uncleanliness”) soon transmogrifies into a heart-breaking character attack (“You are a lousy fool, a shameless rogue, a wretched curse in my life”).

No wonder the Bhagavad-Gita (16.21) cautions that anger is one of the gates to hell – it propels us into hellish situations even in this world. Therefore the next verse (16.22) urges us to meticulously avoid the insidious influence of anger and thereby become free to act in our enlightened best interests.

The man who has escaped these three gates of hell, O son of Kunti, performs acts conducive to self-realization and thus gradually attains the supreme destination.

N please suggest what to do. Bcoz I do not want the child now. What medicine or fruit to take for not getting the child now? please help.

Pregnancy test kit & MTP pills kits are available over the counter with instructions on the packs. It is not necessary to have symptoms during early pregnancy. If bleeding does not stop after 10 days of taking MTP pills do visit a doctor as pieces can be retained leading to heavy bleeding and infection. Not every medical abortion is 100% complete.

Take a Brisk Walk

A little exercise on top of your healthy diet is the key to gut-busting success. But it's not enough to merely amble around the block; the real key to burning belly fat is to pick up your pace. University of Virginia researchers found that women who did three 30-minute high-intensity walks plus two moderate recovery walks per week burned up to six times more abdominal fat than those who simply strolled five days a week.

I am 6 months pregnant I am suffering from frequently stomach pain how can I get rid of pain.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
It is called as round ligament pain. It occurs because herr ligaments gets stretched by growing uterus, and with brisk movement or getting up it produces pain. If pain is severe one can take tab. Crocin or parcetamol for pain relief. In the meantime it is better to have per vaginal examination by a gynecologist to check whether you are not going in labor.

Super Fact of the Day: Facial hair grows faster than body hair!
If you’re a man, you probably know this and run for the razor every day. In fact, if an average man never shaves for his entire life, then his beard would grow up to 30 feet long, which is apparently even longer than a killer whale.

Would you like to share this interesting fact with family or friends? Go ahead and Share!

Hello am 25 years old and my husband is 30 years old. My blood group is A-ve and my husband's is A+ve. Does that affect in any way as we are planning to have a baby. If there then what is the solution for that.

Gynaecologist, Patna
If mother is negative and father is positive, there are chances of baby to be positive. Which in turn will be treated as foreign blood group in mother and will will cause breakdown of foetal blood and anemia. But this mixing of blood occurs during delivery or following abortion. So first baby remains safe. To protect other babies from it, an Anti-Di given following delivery.

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS

A sitting person requires 2000 calories and fairly active person needs 3000. What is your lifestyle? you must take basics like more proteins and less fats and carbs. Reduce both salt and sugar. Eat lots of seasonal vegetables and fruits. Get back to clarify doubts.

I have irregular periods. Sometimes it is regular I.e every month and sometimes it skip for 2 to 6 months. My weight has also increased by 3 kg in last 2 months. And my period is missed from March.

BHMS, MD - Alternate Medicine
Homeopath, Nagpur
In majority of the cases irregular menses are accredited to hormonal imbalance, but in some cases it may be pathological and secondary to some pathology of ovaries mostly. Now if you want to regularized the menses then you must establish permanent balanced first and this can be achieved only with homoeopathy, because in modern medicine we get only a hormonal support with a very temporary relief. But with homoeopathy you can strike the hormonal balance permanently which later on also give you regular menses even if you stop the medicine.
