Please suggest proper diet plan to be fit and slim.
For weight loss you may follow these tips: 1. Have small frequent meals instead of 2-3 large ones 2. Exercise daily for an hr 3. Take stairs instead of lift, walk instead of taking a transport 4. Drink 3 litres water daily 5. Include enough fibre in diet in form of whole fruits, salads, vegetables, stews, whole legumes (sprouts, rajma, soyabean), nuts, oilseeds, whole grains (millets, atta, brown rice, dalia, suji, oats, atta bread). 6. Have low fat dairy products 7. Meat like fish, chicken & egg are advisable. 8. Avoid junk/ processed/ canned/ fried/ sugary foods & drinks, alcohol. 9. Avoid eating out frequently.

apply volini gel on neck and back. do warm fomentation. do neck muscle exercises when ever pain free. avoid high pillow. inform if not ok.

For the last 4 years I am suffering from anclolic spondylitis ans also I have a sugar patient from last 6 months.

Some diseases are hard to cure by default. But we have get some good result in ankylosing sp by ayurveda. We generally prefer panchkarma in such cases. I advice you to do virechana (medicated purgation) n basti (ayurvedic medicated anema course). Only they can help you. After panchkarma starts ayurveda medicine. You can easily get information about basti n virechana.

Do surya namskar. Nd take aloe vera juice with luke warm water. Do brisk walk. Take vegetable juice. Don't skip your breakfast. Take one fruit daily. Avoid sweets, potatoes, white rice, mango, banana, sugar. Take green tea without sugar. Take black tea without sugar.

Dear Lybrate user avoid heavy work, stress,long journy, vehicle rides. Massage your body with warm prasarani taila regularly early morning following a hot water bath. Take cap cervilon 1-1-1 for 10 days. Dashamulakatutrayi kashaya 20 ml with equal warm water 3tms for 10 days. Practice upper back muscle strengthening yogasanas. Do pranayama and meditation.

Hello lybrate-user- weight gain depends not only on diet but also on sound sleep. Try these ayurvedic tips and medicine- a) sleep at least 8-10 hrs a day. B) eat food according to your digestion over eating sometimes causes indigestion which in turn causes weight loss. C) increase dairy products and non-veg diet in your meals. D) use shatavari kalpa 1 tsp twice daily, ashwagandha pak 1 tsp twice. Madhu malini vasanta 1 tab twice a day. You will see improvements within few weeks.

Hello, Eat more than your usual calorie intake as this is the simplest way to gain extra kilos. Eat a lot of protein rich food, dairy products, starchy food, eg. beans, pulses, eggs, fish, and meat and also potato, almonds, low-fat cheese and yoghurt. Never skip meals.

You spend to much energy everyday so you should increase you food intake. Have 6 nutritious meals at a gap pf 3 hours everyday. a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. b. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. c. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. d. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. e. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. f. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day.  g. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

Hi, thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation you need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.
