Acne Treatment

Acne Treatment

Common skin condition (acne)

Most people develop acne - the most common skin condition - to some degree, but it primarily affects teenagers undergoing hormonal changes.

Acne may be

1) Mild (few, occasional pimples)
2) Moderate (inflammatory papules)

3) Severe (nodules and cysts)

Treatment depends on the severity of the condition.

What causes acne?

Acne is primarily a hormonal condition driven by male or ‘androgenic’ hormones, which typically become active during the teenage years. Sensitivity to such hormones, combined with bacteria on the skin, and fatty acids within oil glands, cause acne. Common sites for acne are the face, chest, shoulders, and back -- the sites of oil glands.

Acne lesions include whiteheads, blackheads, small bumps, and nodules and cysts.

How can acne be prevented?

To prevent acne and reduce its damage to your skin, follow these tips:

  • Choose a cleanser specially formulated for acne. These products often contain salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which help to clear acne sores.
  • Clean your face gently, as trauma to the acne breakouts may worsen the acne or cause scarring. When washing your face, use your hands or cotton pads, as any terrycloth or other scrubbing material may cause acne sores to rupture.
  • If you need to use a moisturizer, use only light, noncomedogenic moisturizers, which do not aggravate acne.
  • If you are a woman, use an oil-free foundation. Heavy makeup or other cosmetic products that block pores may cause a flare-up of acne.

Doctor suggest me a natural home remedies for my pimple problem and also for my black dots on my face due to pimple?
Apple Cider Vinegar Apple cider vinegar has the antibacterial as well as antifungal properties . Apple cider vinegar is very powerful though, so you might want to dilute it when you use it, at least at first. Just apply a small amount to your skin, but make sure that you choose pure, undiluted vinegar for best results. Baking Soda Baking soda is a great option for clearing up blemishes, it’s cheap, it’s natural, and it doesn’t contain any harmful chemicals or other ingredients. The benefits of baking soda are many: it exfoliates, it reduces inflammation, and it clears up skin. All you have to do is use warm water and baking soda to make a paste. Then, apply the paste to your skin like a mask. Leave it on for up to an hour, and then rinse. You will be amazed at the results.

Hi hair needs diet rich in proteins as the strands of hair are made up of protein, beside dietary factors other factors like stress, sleep deprivation, medical illness, pollution and some medication are known to cause hairfall. Use of hair styling products, hair gels containing harsh chemicals also contribute to hair fall. Frequent t change of shampoo also causes hair to fall. Pollution rainwaters, exposure to sun makes hair dry and lustreless. Regular oiling and washing cleans the scalp n maintains healthy hair. To prevent hairfall start using arnica hair oil as it helps in checking the hair fall. Start consuming diet rich in proteins and antioxidants, have plenty of water and fruits. You can also apply coconut water at the roots of your hair it will give strength to the hair. For homoeopathic treatment consult at homoeo healing centre.

BHMS

Does finasteride (propecia) helps in beard growth for me (18 years old)? I am still not developed the beard and moust...
Hello. Start immediately with homoeopathic medication - sulphur 200/ one dose daily in the morning for a week only and 10 drops of arnica montana q in 1/2 cup of water and apply on the face on the beard and the mustache area with a cotton swab. Then use the razor. Repeat the above process every 3rd day for few months. There are certain nutrients that you can add to your daily routine that can help encourage faster, more effective hair growth. Promote thicker hair with folic acid. This is necessary for the growth and repair of hair, take follihair/ 1 tablet daily for 3 months. You can also try increasing the amount of folic acid in your diet. Folic acid can be found in whole-grain breads and cereals, leafy green vegetables, peas, and nuts. Increase your biotin intake. Biotin is an important water-soluble b vitamin, necessary for the the formation of fatty acids and glucose, as well as for metabolizing amino acids and carbohydrates. A biotin deficiency can lead to hair loss, so making sure you are getting the recommended amount is well worth the effort. Biotin is found in liver, oysters, cauliflower, beans, fish, carrots, bananas, soy flour, egg yolks, cereals, yeast, and other foods. Management: -exfoliate your face. Hair follicles can become blocked with dirt and prevent your hair from growing. Once a week, wear an exfoliant mask with eucalyptus. It's great for your skin, and can help promote hair growth. -massage your hair follicles. A gentle massage can help stimulate your hair follicles. Use your finger tips, and gently massage your face in circular motions for about two to three minutes. Try applying a facial moisturizer to create a smoother massage. -take in vitamin a. This vitamin stimulates the production of sebum, which keeps your hair follicles and skin hydrated. You can find vitamin a in eggs, meat, cheese, liver, carrots, pumpkin, broccoli, and dark green leafy vegetables. -get plenty of vitamin e, which has long been recognized as key for healthy skin, and can increase blood flow, which leads to an optimal environment for hair growth. Foods rich in vitamin e include oils, leafy vegetables, nuts, and beans, and most people get plenty of vitamin e when eating a normal diet. -boost circulation with vitamin b3. Healthy circulation may have a positive effect on hair growth. Reports find that b3 is even more effective when taken with biotin. -take in vitamin b5. This is also known as pantothenic acid. It not only helps the body use fats and proteins, necessary for healthy hair, it also has been reported to help reduce stress; and stress can definitely inhibit hair growth. Vitamin b5 occurs naturally in brewer's yeast, broccoli, avocado, egg yolks, organ meats, duck, milk, lobster, whole-grain breads, and more.

Premature greying is greying before the age of 30 yr, after that it is physiological process. Genetic inheritance is the most important cause for it. Apart from that stress, thyroid problem, nutritional deficiency, mal absorption are few other reasons. As melanin is produced with the help of proteins, it is important to eat food which is rich in proteins. Sprouts, beans, nuts, soya are excellent source of protein. Eat more green leafy vegetables. Drink 3 lit of water/day. Oil the scalp 3/week and wash it 3/week.
