hai sakthivel! to reduce stress and pain do exercise regularly in a peaceful environment. nothing to worry about the past. concentrate on diet. psychological workout for your stress: note what are the situations, reasons, events and who are the persons making your stress build. try to avoid first if not possible separate most important unavoidable above said factors and face it - accept positive or negative results from it. once you face definitely you get a relief irrespective of the result. do try! all the best.

Keep your leg raised while sitting or lying quadriceps strengthening exercises- quad clenches: lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short arcs: lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight leg raise: lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Dear as you mentioned that pain increases in the morning. You have work stress you need to check your sitting posture sit in correct way adjust your chair and monitor screen -do hot fermentation 3 times in a day duration-20 min -do stretches 2 min proper along hold and relax do it for two days then I will tell you further program take care.

Hello, start physiotherapy treatment and learn posture care/ spine exercise. Meanwhile take few precautions. 1) take hot water fomentation for 20 min. At every 3hrs. Dear friends, I am Dr Shekhar Shrivastav. I am senior consultant orthopaedic at Sant Parmanand Hospital, Delhi. Today, we'll be discussing Arthritis and specifically arthritis of the knee joint.

Now people usually come and ask me what do you mean by arthritis. So arthritis is the inflammation of the joint. Joint is made up of two ends of the bone which are lined by an articular cartilage which helps in a smooth motion of the joint. So when that cartilage gets destroyed you get arthritis. Now it can get destroyed due to various reasons but the most common reasons are due to ageing process which we call osteoarthritis. So there is degenerative wear and tear of the joint which leads to osteoarthritis or there can be an inflammatory cause such as rheumatoid arthritis which involves the lining of the joint and damages the cartilage. Now then people ask or most of the people who come to us with arthritis involve arthritis of the knee joint. So knee joint is the joint which is common in which is most commonly involved in osteoarthritis of the knee joint. The patient usually comes with pain, swelling and stiffness. They have difficulty in walking, climbing stairs and sometimes in severe cases, they have pain even at rest.

How do we manage that?

Now in order to manage that first, we should know what is the cause of arthritis? So we do some x-rays. X-rays give us an idea about the cause of arthritis as well as the extent of the damage. Now we also go for some blood tests which will give us an information if it's because of an inflammation or any infection. So these are the various causes of arthritis.

Now how do you manage our practice?

 Patient has a company with pain, swelling and such disability so initially, we start with conservative management which is nonoperative management. So in that we ask the patient to do some lifestyle modification like we asked them to avoid using stairs or if they are using stairs then they have to use a railing so that there is not much stress on the joints. If they are into sports then we ask them to shift from contact sports like jogging or Aerobic to low impact exercises like swimming or cycling. We send them for physiotherapy. Physiotherapy helps a lot in arthritis. It helps in gaining strength in the muscles which protects the joint and it also gives increased flexibility and moment of the joint. We can give some medications and form of painkillers and thin perimeter because they reduce the inflammation, reduces the pain and in acute cases we can also inject the region.

Now, in severe arthritis when all this treatment has failed in that case it requires surgery. Surgery can be in different form. If the patient is having any loose fragment which is causing locking, then, in that case, we can go for arthroscope which is a keyhole surgery, where we make just small incisions like the tip of this pen, we put our instruments inside and we take out that piece which is a simple thing. In severe cases, we go for replacements. So it can be either partial replacement or total knee replacement. Now in severe cases with patients of great disability who have difficulty in walking who have pain on each step, who have pain even at rest, knee replacement surgery is a boon for these patients. It increases their activity, it increases their social life and it also makes them more mobile.

I am 19 year old male person 3 days back I fell down from the stairs because of which I am having back pain and I have applied oxalgin tube and have taken spasmoproxivan yet the pain is not reducing. So in this case what can I do?

You may be suffering from fracture spine. Kindly get x rays of your spine take bed rest. Fortunately, it appears that you have no neurological deficit. Take enough fluids esp coconut water (to correct any electrolyte imbalance) esp post your volleyball session. And get the knee checked by a physiotherapist as you may have sprained a lig.

Ok, you avoid pillow good, do not lying hand in head it is also good, first suggest you one of the v good excuse, if you have bed the lye out in the bed shoulder or down the down the bed, une sunjhey ke put hoker kandhe se niche ka porstion latka dena hye or uske bad gerdan ko upper ki or lejana hye panch bar, after ek hath niche rakhna or ek hath upper rakhna hye or kerwat hoker hath ko apne kemer sidhe rakhna hye uske bad gerdan ko panch bar upper lana hye phir thik usi tarah agar ap dahen orse pehle shuru kiya hai toa baye n terf thik usi tarah karna hai aap ka problem do dino mea solve ho jayega ok.

Avoid sitting Cross legged. Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Your pains may be due to strain, sprain, weather change etc. *Avoid bending forward while working on lap top or for any other work. *Don’t sit continuously working on laptop etc. Get up periodically and move around. *Restrict bike driving as far as possible. *Don’t carry laptop or any load on your shoulder. Carrying very light loads equally with both hands is better *Sit straight so that back bone gets proper support. A dining chair is better than a laid back sofa. *You can use mustard oil for massage which is good in winter season for relieving pain. Eucalyptus oil is also good *Soft bed will not give proper support to your back bone. Hard bed with thin mattress and thin pillow is better. *Get yourself tested whether you have spondylitis problem. Homoeopathy has a good treatment for this without adverse effects. Take Calc fluor 200--once daily in the morning for 6 days.

This is a general strain due to excessive walking or standing and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes. One time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. The reason why you cannot walk more than an hour is because your muscles have become so weak and it becomes tired very easily. To break that fatigue it is advisable to drink or eat protein and mineral food which would be a reservoir for you to store the energy.
