One year ago I was playing football and during that my right angle get sprained. And it takes long time to recover from pain. And during this time pain starts in bottom side of my foot. And during same time my second feet also get same time of pain. During time pain spreads to my ankle and legs. And after some months it get difficult to stand long and to walk long. Now I feel lot of inflammation in bottom of feet, around ankle and legs pain when I stand for 10-15 minutes or so some standing work. I also consult with some doctors and orthopedics but didn't get any solution and no improvement in my pain and situation. Normally doctors said that this pain is due to my mild flat feet. I also tried different type of shoes, but no improvement. So please suggest that how can this problem will reduced or solve so that I can maintain my regular routine work and job. Because I have standing job so it is going very difficult for me with this pain and problem.

Hi, You may have plantar Faciitis. Most people with plantar fasciitis have pain when they take their first steps after they get out of bed or sit for a long time. You may have less stiffness and pain after you take a few steps. But your foot may hurt more as the day goes on. It may hurt the most when you climb stairs or after you stand for a long time. No single treatment works best for everyone with plantar fasciitis. But there are many things you can try to help your foot get better: 1-Give your feet a rest. Cut back on activities that make your foot hurt. Try not to walk or run on hard surfaces. 2-To reduce pain and swelling, try putting ice on your heel. 3-Do toe stretches, calf stretches and towel stretches several times a day, especially when you first get up in the morning. (For towel stretches, you pull on both ends of a rolled towel that you place under the ball of your foot.) 4-Get a new pair of shoes. Pick shoes with good arch support and a cushioned sole. Or try heel cups or shoe inserts (orthotics ). Use them in both shoes, even if only one foot hurts. If these treatments do not help, Please go to a Physiotherapist for PT management. Plantar fasciitis most often occurs because of injuries that have happened over time. With treatment, you will have less pain within a few weeks. But it may take time for the pain to go away completely. It may take a few months to a year.

If I wake in the morning my back bones are get severe pain? How can I get relief from that?
Early morning back pain especially if accompanied with stiffness can be a symptom of a chronic systemic disorder. You can try over the counter anti inflammatory drugs for a few days and if it doesn't work, please consider consulting a qualified doctor. Tips: 1. Body weight is an important factor so get that under control. 2. Maintain proper water intake and diet. 3. Try body weight exercises and activities like swimming and walking once you've pain relief.

Foot Pain - 5 Exercises to Help You Get Relief

Foot pain is often characterized by a feeling of pain in the feet. The symptoms of foot pain can be felt in the heel, instep, arches, toes and sole of the feet. Usually foot pain can be treated at home.

Foot pain can be caused by the following factors:

  1. It can occur from an injury
  2. Obesity often leads to too much weight pressure on the feet, thus causing pain
  3. Aging weakens the bones and muscles causing pain
  4. Too much physical activity within a short period of time
  5. Deformities in the foot
  6. Broken bones
  7. Arthritis and gout
  8. Stress fracture
  9. Nervous system damage
  10. Sprains

Various exercises that are used for treating pain in feet are:

  1. Plantar fascia stretch: The exercise requires you to sit down in a comfortable chair, and then roll the arch of your foot on a round object. Repeat this exercise for some time in all directions.
  2. Sitting plantar fascia stretch: You need to sit in a chair and then cross one of your feet over your knee. Take hold of your toes and pull them towards you till they are comfortably stretched.
  3. Towel pickup: Place a towel on the floor and place your feet on it. Scrunch your toes to pick the towel up and release.
  4. Wall push: You face a wall and lean by placing your palms on the wall. Then, keeping the back leg straight and bend the front knee towards the wall till you feel a comfortable pull on your calves.
  5. Achilles tendon stretch: Loop a towel on the ball of your feet and pull your toes. As you pull the towel, remember to keep your knees straight. Hold this position for at least 25 seconds and then release it. Do the same for the other foot and repeat 4 times.

All of the above exercises need to be performed regularly to get the full benefit of these stretches. You may also use comfortable footwear to prevent the pain from coming back. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a doctor and ask a free question.

Hello lybrate-user, If you wish to feel energetic, less slee[py and perform well in the coming board exams ,follow the following tips: EXAM TIPS 1)Eat a healthy breakfast every morning. You should have a goal of eating breakfast every single morning, even if you're not feeling hungry or are running out of time. Eating breakfast will not only give you more energy in the mornings, but it has been shown to lower stress. You shouldn't eat anything too greasy or heavy; just eat enough to make yourself feel powered up. Examples are: A bowl of milk and cornflakes, one banana, 2 boiled eggs and a grilled vegetable sandwhich. 2)Eat every 3-4 hours. Even if you have an incredibly busy schedule, you can always take a minute to eat a snack, especially if you have one on hand. Instead of eating three big meals that leave you stuffed, have three medium-sized meals along with two snacks, one in between breakfast and lunch, and one between lunch and dinner, and see how much your energy levels improve. Examples are: Nuts like almond, raisins, walnuts. Flavoured yoghurt, bowl of fruit or a glass of fresh fruit juice, berries. 3)Avoid eating oily and heavy meals, rice as these foods need a lot of energy to get digested and leaves you sluggish. Instead eat steamed food like Idli, poha, upma, multigrain sandwich with juice. 4)Drink lots of water. It's important to stay hydrated throughout the day. Even mild dehydration can lead you to be fatigued, so wherever you go, make sure to bring a water bottle. Drink atleast 7-8 glasses water. 5)Limit your caffeine intake after noon. Though caffeine can really boost your energy levels during a few hours after you drink it, if you have caffeine after noon or even in the evening, it will disrupt your sleep. 6)Go outside. Take a break and go outside, breathe some fresh air, and let the sun hit your face. Spending just 20-30 minutes outside each day will have a dramatic impact on your energy level. 7)Follow the 50: 10 rule: Study for 50 min and give yourself a break for 10 min to assimilate what you have read. Also take a power nap immediately after lunch as you feel most drowsy then 8)Smell lavender. Have a lavender plant or lavender lotion on hand so you can smell it in moments of need or when stressed out. It's been known to help students perform better on tests, and it has the power to make you more energetic throughout the day. 9).Destress: Listen to music, take a 15 min short refreshing walk in the garden nearby, splash cold water on your face.

Hello Sankar I can understand that your mother is in a lot of pain, and she has to difficulties in doing day to day activities as well. Allopathic painkillers will surely give her temporary relief but long term relief can be obtained with homeopathic medication. In the meantime, Please avoid sour food in her diet, keep her warm and see that she is drinking atleast 2 liters of water.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. Simple Knee Exercies Specific knee exercises will also help ie. keeping ball underneath the knee and keep pressing it. That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation.
