Hello doctors. I had c-section after having contractions for almost 2days, before 4months. Am having severe back pain (exactly back to the chest and low back). Also knee pain, joint pain. I should admit i have skipped iron calcium during my pregnancy. I have been identified with hypothyroidism recently. Any medications n exercise? Thanks in advance .

Firstly you should continue taking iron and calcium supplements.For lower back pain do some hot fomentation and few post natal exercises should be done to strengthen back and abdominal muscles. Consult endocrinologist for hypothyroid medicine,dose will decided by the doctor as per your levels.And metabolism slows down so you might put on weight so need to have a balanced diet (since you are lactating) and do mild-moderate exercise or walk.

Hello Please read this and do the same, you will get rid of leg pains. Fill a large bowl with warm water and add ½ cup of Epsom salt. Stir it around, and then submerge your sore joints in the liquid. If you are experiencing pain in a less convenient place to soak, such as your knees, try taking a bath with Epsom salts. Run a tub full of warm water and add 2 cups of Epsom salt.

My mom is suffering neck and arm pain for 2 year. What problem him. We saw some doctors but she is not fine . What I do. please help me.

Suffering from Knee Pain - Know What Causes it?

Your knee is a very complex structure consisting of bones, ligaments, cartilage, tendons, muscles and meniscus. Most people encounter knee pain at some point in their lives. If your knee pain is chronic in nature, then it may last for a prolonged period.

Many causes may be responsible for your knee pain. Some of the causes are stated as follows:

1. Your knee is very much prone to injuries. Knee injuries may happen due to accidents, falling down carelessly or while playing sports. The most common knee injuries that may be the cause for your knee pain are mentioned as follows: 

  • Fractures may cause you to feel pain in the areas of your knee bones.
  • Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury (ligament injury caused by twisting and a sudden motion) or Medial Collateral Ligament injury (injury to the tissue in the insides of your knee) is very common to sportspersons and may be the reason for severe knee pain.
  • Sometimes your knee bones may get dislocated from their usual alignment. This can also make you experience severe knee pain.
  • Ligament injuries, meniscus tear or tendon tear can also be responsible for your knee pain.

2. Sometimes pain in your buttock or foot region can also result in mild knee pain.

3. At times chronic problems like osteoarthritis that affects the cartilage can cause the problem of knee pain. Other chronic problems like Gout, rheumatoid arthritis can also cause severe knee pain.

4. Being overweight can also result in knee pain.

The symptoms of knee pain may be different in each case. The most common symptoms are mentioned below:

  • Stiffness of knee
  • Swelling of your knee
  • You may also feel unstable
  • Difficulty in walking or bending of your knee.
  • You may notice redness in your knee area.

Knee pain must not be ignored. It is highly recommended for you to seek advice from an orthopedic as soon as you encounter any of the above mentioned symptoms.

Hi, this question is for my aunty. She has weight of 100 kgs for more than 10 years. She tried to loss her weight many times by eating less and exercising but no use of it. And she also has knee pain. She need some advice.

There is no point in masking the pain we have to find the root cause and deal it than only the problem will get solved. You could have a radiculopaty or neuropathy you have to answer several questions before i come to a diagnosis gabapentin will have a masking effect on the nervous system it may make you drowsy. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain.

Kindly show me photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure she is not allergic to any of the medicines she is going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

What is voluntary nystagmus? Is this nystagmus result of eye strain? I mean to say how common is voluntary nystagmus? I experience set of uncontrollable eye moments for couple Of Seconds because I have to much eye strain. Also I cannot stare my eyes on something for more than 5-6 seconds. When I cover my one eye my other eye become More strained I after that l cannot. Put my one opened eye focused on something? Is this nystagmus? Or result of strain?

Nystagmust is unvoluntary or voluntary movement of eyes. It sometimes may happen due to excessive accommodation or eye strain. Though your case seem to be of weak extra ocular muscles. Get your eye sight tested along with complete orthoptic check up.

Knee pains have nothing to do with the oral sex you had 2 years back. Both are unrelated to each other. Knee pains can be due to inflammation of joints. Or infections or deficiencies of essential nutrients.

Stretch Calves Get a custom made insole. Hams Stretching. Sports Taping. Hot Fomentation. Standing calf stretch Stand away from a wall and.put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

I have been having severe joint pais and swelling at the joints. Have been taking HCQS 200, one in the morning and one in the night. Having 90% relief. Can I take one more tablet in the after noon till I am completely free from pains. I am 72 years.

No it shouldn't be taken like that it may be overdose other ways just follow your dr's prescription for pain you can take physical therapy agents like ift and laser therapy for 12 days followed by strengthening exercise.

Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
