Kindly let me know what should be my next action to reduce BP & TSH level based on the following observations. My blood report is as under: T3: 1.06 nmol/l T4: 39.51 nmol/l TSH: 60 microlu/ml HbA1C: 5.6 %Anti-Thyroid PAS: > 1300 Hemoglobin Variant Analysis, Blood: within range USG report of thyroid gland: Multi-nodular Goiter right Thyroid. Both thyroid shows slightly increase in vascularity. After investigation, I am taking medicine: Thyrox 100 for thyroid control Olmezest 40for BP control. Solution sought for the following: My blood pressure always remains around 150--160/ 95-105 Feeling depression due to weakness and high BP.

Endocrinologist, Hubli-Dharwad
Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Please tell whether TSH 60 mU/L value shown is with thyronorm 100 mcg or is it before beginning of the treatment? Because when on treatment with adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Your TSh value is too high, suggesting uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Plus your USG report talks of multinodular goiter. That needs to be observed periodically. Plus the antibody titre is also very high, suggesting an autoimmune problem. As regards BP, when on appropriate treatment it should be maintained around 120 to 130 /70 to 80 mm Hg. That also needs to be properly treated. If hypothyroidism is not well controlled it does cause depressive tenancy in some persons. If you have any further doubts please come back in a private conversation (paid consultation), where I will be able to give specific guidelines plus prescriptions if needed. As in this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines, no prescriptions are allowed. Or please consult a local endocrinologist / physician. Do not neglect. Thanks.

Aromatherapy - How It Is Beneficial For You?

Aromatherapy is an ancient practice that dates back to ancient times across many cultures. This is a practice where concentrated oils are used to treat many imbalances and disorders within the body. The oils emit a fragrance or aroma, through which many important molecules enter your blood stream which have a healing effect. The oils can be applied on the skin and the aroma is then absorbed directly into the body through it. They can also be used as an aromatic agent where you need to sniff them in order for the molecules to get inside the body and then be absorbed into your blood.

What kind of oils are generally used in aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy uses essential oils similar to the ones used for massage in many other forms of alternative medicine such as Ayurveda and Chinese medicine. These oils have the organic compounds within the plants or respective sources concentrated into a small dose so it can pass on the benefits of those compounds to you, healing your body. Some of the types of oils used in aromatherapy are –

Due to the immense concentration of the powerful organic compounds created by this, organic oils are very effective and thus potent in curing ailments. The compounds are separated through a distillation process that separates the oils from the other components.

How and where are essential oils in aromatherapy effective?
Aromatherapy is very effective in dealing with lesser ailments and also as a supplementary form of treatment for other larger problems such as recovery form surgery and pain relief. Some of the more common areas where aromatherapy is very helpful are:

BAMS, M.D.Alternative Medicines

Sir when my penis is up. Its erection not maintain in 3 seconds.
And penis is so weak due excessive masturbation.
ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION Regular and repeated Inability to develope or maintain the erection of penis. REASONS AND CAUSES- 1.VASCULAR-Impaired blood flow through penis by any cause. E.g. Vericocele. 2.MUSCULAR -Muscular weakness e.g. Diabetes 3.NEURONAL -Nerve Weakness e.g.Neuropathy paralysis 4.HARMONAL-Androgen sex harmones imbalances e.g.Low testosterone levels. 5.PSYCHOLOGICAL-Stress Depression e.g.performance anxiety 6.ANATONICAL -Cavernosal disorders e.g.Pyeronie's disease bend penis. 7.DRUGS-antipsychotic, Antacids etc 8.SECONDARY DISEASES -Diabetic, Hypertension, thyroid, heart problems etc. 9.ADDICTIONS-Smoke, Alcohol,Tobacco, Drugs etc 10. AGING-Biological aging. SOLUTIONS 1.Proper Diagnosis 2.Proper treatment 3.Healthy Diet and life style 4.Deaddictions. 5.Counselling 6.Yoga and mediation. 7.proper ayurvedic non harmful treatment. 8.Control of other diseases. TIPS TO GET HARDER ERECTION 1. Quit smoking: One major cause of impotency in men is smoking. Since you require a good blood flow to your penis for an erection, smoking ends up damaging your blood vessels. 2. Less alcohol: Alcohol ends up hurting your nerves and blood vessels more than you think. It slows down the flow of blood and can lead to erectile dysfunction and leads neuropathy. 3. Healthy diet: A healthy diet which consists of fruits and vegetables should be consumed. Do not over indulge in fatty foods as this can affect your blood flow severely. 4. Health parameters: Get your health parameters checked once if you have been experiencing smaller erection time. Issues like an arterial block or diabetes can be the reason behind shorter erection. 5. Proper sleep: Sleep deprived tend to have a bad sex life. This is because they are tired from within. Less sleep can lead to hormonal disruptions. This consequently means bad erection. 6. Don’t take stress: Too much stress can lead to releasing adrenaline hormone in your body. This can majorly hamper your sex life as the blood flow will get slow. 7. Masturbate less: If you want a good sex life, masturbate less. This is because too much masturbation can lead to weaker erections and ejaculations. Other than this, while you are at it, your sexual hunger will reduce over a period of time. 8. Don’t eat heavy food before sex: Sex does make you hungry, but indulging in heavy food is not the best choice. Since your penis requires this blood flow, it will divert itself to your stomach and you will end up having shorter erection. 9. Have more sex: The best thing to do to have better and longer erection is by having more sex. The blood flow will stimulate over a period of time and you won’t have an issue getting erection every time you want to have sex. 10. Increase zinc intake: Zinc helps produce testosterone which can lead to a long and strong erection. However, do not consume too much of zinc as it can lead to erectile dysfunction as well. You can have zinc by eating seafood. 11. Take testosterone Suppliments: The suppliments like Ashwagandha Tribulus and tongat are proven to increase the testosterone hormone thereby enhance hard erection. 12. Foreplay is important: Most couples tend to ignore foreplay and end up having a bad experience. Foreplay is important to get a good erection and to make sure that your partner’s vagina is well lubricated. If you want better penetration, start with foreplay. 13. Get fit: No matter how cliched this may sound, getting fit will give better and longer erection. Exercise increases the blood flow in your body and also enhances your stamina. 14. Safe sex: Avoid indulging in risky sex where your penis is at a delicate position. This may lead to injuries and hence ruin your erection. Missionary position or doggy style, where your penis is at a stronger position will help you get a better erection. 15. Different sex positions: Change your position. For a better and longer erection, be on top of your partner. HOME REMEDY- 1.Raw onion along with food. 2.Milk with Nutmeg powder. HERB REMEDY- 1.Ashwagandha churna with Milk 2.Kavacha churna with Milk. AYURVEDIC MEDICINES 1.Kamanand modak. 2.Rativallabha rasayan. DOSAGE DEPENDS UPON INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT AND PATHOLOGY. What are the symptom of high cholesterol and side effects of ldl and vldl on body.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
What are the symptom of high cholesterol and side effects of ldl and vldl on body.
Men ages 35 and older and women ages 45 and older be more frequently screened for lipid disorders. The lipoprotein profile includes: Total cholesterol LDL (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "bad" cholesterol) HDL (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also called "good" cholesterol) Triglycerides (fats carried in the blood from the food we eat. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in the body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout the body LDL cholesterol can build up on the walls of your arteries and increase your chances of getting heart disease. That is why LDL cholesterol is referred to as "bad" cholesterol. The lower your LDL cholesterol number, the lower your risk. If your LDL is 190 or more, it is considered very high. Your doctor will most likely recommend medicines in addition to making healthy lifestyle choices. After figuring your 10-year risk, your doctor will recommend a percentage by which you should try to lower your LDL level through diet, exercise, and medication if necessary. HDL Cholesterol When it comes to HDL cholesterol -- "good" cholesterol – a higher number means lower risk. This is because HDL cholesterol protects against heart disease by taking the "bad" cholesterol out of your blood and keeping it from building up in your arteries. A statin can slightly increase your HDL, as can exercise.
