Hello , after healing the fracture it is important to perform strengthening and stretching exercises to help regain strength and full range of motion these exercises must be learned from Therapist and must be done regularly at home. Regards

your upper thoracic muscle is weak and giving way to shoulder to move forward.If you don't have any birth deformity. this correction need to be done very quick session.once you crossed teen age its more difficult to treat it. plz go to a expert physio for this.

I am suffering from neck pain from previously 6 months. I consulted an orthopedic and tried yoga and physiotherapy, stretching of neck plus heat therapy. I even tried ayurvedic and now shifted to homeopathic. It's not curing. The pain starts when I sit or walk for about 40 mins and when I sleep it becomes normal. I am student and I work on laptop but I am spending less time on laptop. Please suggest something.

since you have consulted a orthopedic so spondilytis is ruled out it could be due to postural or positional neck pain for long time on computers and may the level of computer and your level of eye position correct it requires correct positions. and rest in between.

Hello 1) start physiotherapy sessions and learn exercise for spine 2) do not lift heavy objects 3) use lumber support belt while walking and traveling 4) do not exert yourself take rest do reply for private consultation and detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore.

Right leg sprained severely near knee from inside thigh. Can stand with support but unable to walk w/o support. Local warming and Flexon 2 times a day cont'd. Advise further for recovery.

I have a 10 years history of arthritis, 1 year ago my hip joint flexibility was almost null, now after taking infliximab 5 dose this year it is 30% but not improving much also after taking regular physiotherapy. Is operation my only choice now?

It all depends on how bad is your hip. If your hip is irreparably damages, infliximab will not help. Infliximab will only help to reduce the swelling and associated pain, damage already done cannot be reversed, if pain is persistent then operation is the only option. Consult your doctor.

I am having neck pain radiating to my right thumb which started around oct'2014. I am working in it sector and prolonged hours I have to sit infront of computers. I took some treatment in ayurveda for almost one month. Then later shifted to idd therapy which showed hood results and I was able to get back into my job after 1-2 months treatment. There's a disc prolapse in c5 c6 region and that's the reason. So, now the pain again started to come back although not severe and I am afraid I have to quit my job and go for surgery. Can any body help me send a suggest a solution without surgery.?

Hi, thanks for writing in to us. Your mri scan shows disc problem at c 5 - c 6 level. This requires rest, physical therapy and pain relief as first line of treatment. Maxgalin er is a good medicine and will treat nerve related pain. The condition you have might be due to trauma or degeneration. It is unlikely to heal completely. You can try a rehabilitation and treatment with nerve pain reliever like maxgalin er. Please do not stress your neck for a long duration and avoid sudden neck movement. Go slow on your job. Non surgical pain relief options are best. They might be steroid shots or rf ablation. Regards,

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

Pain klers is not a solution. Pl massage with warm mahanarayan and mahavishgarbh oil mixed equally. Drink hot milk and turmeric daily twice. Walk daily. Light easy digestible food required. Keep your gut clean by tarunikusumakar chooran and herbal'agnideepak' medicines, powders etc.

Morning stiffness is quite a common condition. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head.
