Overactive Bladder - Is It A Common Problem?

Urology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the diseases affecting the urinary tract system and male reproductive organs. The organs that come under the scanner here are the kidneys, adrenal glands, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra, and the male reproductive organs (testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate, and penis). Though there is a prevalent misconception that gynecologists are for women what urologists are for men, urology also deals with certain women related health issues. These include overactive bladder, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence. In fact, doctors who specialize in female urology gain detailed knowledge of the female pelvic floor together with intimate understanding of the physiology and pathology.

Here are 7 things you should know as a woman

1. Age related factors affect both men and women: Right around the time when menopause and andropause strike, changing hormone levels affect the pelvic floor, bladder, urethra and vagina in women causing problems like urinary tract infection and incontinence. Hello, Include the following for getting better vision: Vitamins A, C, E, and minerals like copper and zinc are essential to eyesight. Get the antioxidants from dark leafy greens, egg yolks, yellow peppers, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, and carrots. Include garlic, onions and capers. Blueberries, grapes, and goji berries have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your vision. DHA is a fatty acid found in coldwater fish like wild salmon, sardines, mackerel, and cod. Exercises for eyes: Warm your eyes. Rub your palms together to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. Repeat this three times. Roll your eyes. Start by looking up and then slowly circle 10 times clockwise and 10 times counterclockwise. Focus. Hold a pen at arm's length, focus your eyes on it, and slowly bring the pen closer until it's about 6 inches away from your nose. Then slowly move it back, keeping your eyes focused on the pen, 10 times in all. Massage your temples. Using your thumb knuckles, massage your temples in small circles, 20 times in one direction and 20 in the other. Repeat the same actions above the mid-point of the eyebrows at the forehead, then below the eyes on both sides of the bridge of the nose. Take a mini-nap. Put your head back, close your eyes, and relax for 3 minutes. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision, so shoot for 8 hours of sound sleep a night. Rest your eyes 10 minutes for every 50 minutes spent reading or in front of the computer. If your eyes feel overly tired, lie down and place cooling cucumber slices over your eyelids. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine which will help you in preventing rather reducing the power of your eyes. Take Physostigma 6/ thrice daily for 1 month. Thereafter, revert back for further guidance.

Viral fever takes 3-5 days. But if fever persist for long or associated with other symptoms like rashes/ nausea/vomiting/ loose motions, severe headache/ breathlessness/pain in chest or abdomen etc then please update for further guidance, as you may require physical check up & blood investigations. You can take Tab. Paracetamol 500 after meals, 3 – 4 times daily (only if you are not allergic to the drug) for symptomatic relief. Drink plenty of water, Take rest & light but nutritious diet. For Proper evaluation of fever by physical check up & blood investigations are required. Consult Physician in your area.

My weight is 89 ,my daily routine is morning 6.30 wake up daily routine complete ,taking 2oats 2 walnuts than going to jym for 65 min work out ,coming back taking break fast with milk ,12 lunch ,5 clock tea with biscuit, 7 dinner ,10 clock milk .but my weight is not coming down. First. Weight is not the concern if you are improving your body composition which means more muscles mass n less of fat. Gym work out improves muscle mass and so weight might not show much difference. Second you shd aim to improve your body composition instead of weight. Working out for 40 min is enough n beyond tht you r only depleting your muscles. Get your exercise routine planned by a trained professional. Mindlessly pumping up iron in gym won't help. Have a proper structure. You can include some protein shakes to facilitate your post work out recovery. In evening instead of biscuits have some dry fruits.

My nephew got chicken fox 3 days back. So how should we get recovery. Please help me by giving some suggestions.

Chicken pox takes 7-10 days to recover. Take over-the-counter painkiller if pain. Drink plenty of liquids. Avoid itching. If required, take antiallergic tablet. Apply calamine lotion locally. Take bath with cool or lukewarm water. Don't scratch the blisters. Hope this helps you.

If it is the correct diagnoses for your father then he can maintain the remaining strength and slow down the regression by doing maintainence therapy under any good occupational therapist.
