Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. For t2 dm it is necessary to take either oral antidiabetic drugs or insulin injections. Other medications do not help in controlling blood sugar. Hence please let me know her weight, height, waist circumference, time spent on exercise, hba1c levels and lipid profile tto. Based on that info I can guide.

If you stand with your ankle touching each other and the inner aspect of your knees rub each other, you have knock knees. Its a physiological variation and you cannot correct it by any means except surgery which is only advisable in genu valgum (significant knock knees) (certainly not in your case). So cheers. The army has this weird protocol since colonial times which they are reluctant to change.

Hi my mom is 60 yr old & have pain in legs, what should we do.

Dip. SICOT (Belgium), MNAMS, DNB (Orthopedics), MBBS
Orthopedist,
Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to your mother for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - we will get some blood tests for you - serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp once you have all these reports then you can contact me as I can advise you for proper supplementation do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Hello, at her age bone complains in female patient are usually seen. You can start with calcium supplements which shall help restore the ca levels and increase bone strength. For pain and limiting the ca loss you should start with homoeopathic treatment only after consulting a homoeopathic physician nearby so that he may be able to give medications exactly based upon her constitution which will help more than over the counter drugs and for long time, with out side effects.

Hi I can understand your problem. Back pain is related to poor posture rather than height # relax & stay positive. # take hot and cold fomentation. # learn posture care exercise. # use lumbar support. # take break every 20 minutes. # do strengthening exercise of back and core muscles not all back pains are same.do share investigation reports if you have any.

Dear lybrateuser, -At your age you should not feel anxious & worried about your heart -do regular meditation ,deep breathing & yoga in the morning, you can alternate these on different days, also very useful is to do aerobic exercises like brisk walking, jogging, swimming,do these on three days & do weight lifting exercises on other two days -along with the above routine have a healthy & nutritious diet so that you will feel stronger & more confident & thereby remove your fear & anxiety -distress by listening to music, following a hobby, keep a pet.

I have a severe pain in my back and I cannot take rest. It sticks, is it a sign to spondylitis?
Dear Bikash Bhuyan, Namaskar, you must sleep on a firm mattress with a soft and thin pillow, use a commode and avoid stairs. Do hot fomentation and apply muscodac gel 2-3 times a day. Wear a LS belt. Take zerodol SP and omez 40 mgm. 1 tab each, twice a day for 5-7 days. Get swd +ust for 5-7 sittings at a good physiotherapy center. You will settle. If not get x-ray LS spine AP and lateral views and revert back to me with the reports.... You are too young to have spondylitis.... Take care.
