Hello Mr. Lybrate-user, your age is not to suffer from back pain really. - your weight is also low compared to height and age. - 1st thing to do is to increase your weight by taking nutritious food - have amalaki rasayana 1spoon daily twice before food with milk - coming to back pain need to see it's related to muscles or bone - so apply ksheerabala taila daily before bath to your back that will strengthen both your muscles and bones - have sprouts in the morning compulsory. Sir, I am suffering from Cervical Spondylosis and Gerd. My wife (36 years old) was having the same problem. She took the medicine (L. Bane 30 & Nat Phos 6x for 2 weeks) as mentioned in his reply. Now she is feeling better her neck, throat & stomach. Let me know if she can continue the same medicine. Kindly give your advice.

Hi apply pranacharya restopain oil or prasarini oil on your affected part then give hot fomentation. Take maha rasnadi kwath 2-2 tsf twice a day. And agni tundi vati and maha yograj guggul 1-1 tab twice a day.

I did mri of lumber spine as I was felling bearable pain in my leg that was moving upwards to back, and also I can't bend my body backwards. The MRI report shows li-si disc: diffuse disc bulge with a large posterior central protrusion and annular fissure causing moderate to significant thecal indentation. Now I want to know is this serious and what is the treatment for it.

If you have low back pain and sciatica you can undergo intermittent pelvic traction where in your half of your body weight will be added in the electronic traction so that that would help you to reduce the pain, along with Interferential therapy stimulations which would help you to get relieved from the radiating pain. Apply ice for the pain to get subsided immediately. if you cannot go immediately for the physiotherapy treatment. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

To control & maintain Blood pressure to normal these are best methods to follow:.• Do physical exercise like jogging, running or brisk walk for atleast 20-30 minutes. • Maintain your cholesterol level to normal & eat least amount of butter, cream or fatty things. • Eat less amount of pickle, salt and fast food as they contain high sodium levels. • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking. • Take less amount of caffine containing coffee, tea or cold drinks because caffine causes increase BP. • Drink 8 to 10 glass of water daily • Take 6 to 8 hrs of sleep daily. Do not take too much stress. • Do long breathing pranayams (Anulom- Vilom, Bhramari) daily for 10 - 15 minutes. It will reduce your stress level in your body. • Eat healthy diet such as green leafy vegetables, fruits. • Take 5 ml of GULAB Jal added in a glass of water daily once a day.

Hello- you have noticed a nice correlation between diet and back pain. >according to ayurveda intake of heavy meals block the passage of vayu (internal metabolite acting as wind) generated due to intestinal peristalsis. Due to this the vayu pressurize the stomach>>it further apply pressure on the back side towards vertebrae causing back pain. >try these tips to get rid of your pain- 1. Take 1 tsp carrom seeds with asfoitida before meals. 2. Decrease the intake of water during meals. 3. Avoid over eating. 4. Take 1 tsp harad powder with warm water at bed time.

Hi = relax and stay positive. = increase fluid intake. = eat seasonal fruits for natural vitamins = do stretching of hamstring, quadriceps, and calf muscles. = if you are overweight, reduce weight by cycling or swimming as it gives low impact on joints. = do check your calcium and vit. D = apply moist heat pad to affected joint and muscles. If still you dont get relief see a physiotherapist as there are various causes for leg/ joint pain and some test may be required for further investigation. Best wishes.

I have lower back pain past 10 days, initially not able to walk or even bend it, Dr. prescribed medicines for 5 days moveril- a, ulcerab 20, maxgallia 75, and physio therapy (ift / ipt for 5 days) after view x-ray. Pain reduced up to 70% I feel comfortable than before, and I hope it will cure slowly, can you please suggest how to reduce the remaining pain, and how to protect this kind of aches, pain in future? And why it happens to me repeatedly yearly once? Please suggest.

Hello lybrate user I would like to suggest you that after physio treatment you must start regular smooth &light back exercises. After one week once you able to add back exercises in your routine then gradually increase exs to improve strength of muscle. Because pain and stiffness cycle reduce, your muscles which gets weak or less active due to pain now are able to do some work, utilize the energy for maintaining muscle power. Exs should be under expert's advice only.

Dear lybrate-user the low back pain has multiple reasons. If it's too severe and been there for considerable period of time you should consult an orthopaedic surgeon for proper diagnosis. As far as treatment is concerned homeopathy should be chosen as first line treatment as it has nil side effects. Till then you can try taking Kali Carb 30 homeopathic medicine.

Hi, dear lybrate-user. When you feel knee-pain: * when you are mobile or in absolute rest. Or, ascending upstairs. These symptoms r required, to b considered, seriously to reach a solution. Till then take *homoeo-medicine* @ rhus tox 200- 6 pills, thrice a day. @ colchicum 200-6 pills, theidce a day. Your report will modify your medication, please, report in a wk.

Hello, Is there any history of injury or hurt to the area? Any underlying medical condition? Medication: Meantime, take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

Every now and then my middle trap muscle is pulled just beneath the right shoulder, sometime beneath the left shoulder as well. And this happens more often in the winter, as a result I feel mild pain (sometime severe pain) and neck movement becomes difficult. Usually I take pain killer for this, but its isn't helping.

You should practice regular stretching exercise. With minimum of 10 repetitions 10 seconds hold and twice daily to start with. Focus should be on bending the arm front pushing your elbow to the opposite shoulder.

Do check your electrolytes zinc s. Alk. Phosphate vit d 3 and vit b 12 from nabl lab do take ust and laser therapy for pain relief for 10 days followed by strengthening exercise from neuro physiotherapist best wishes.

Investigations advised - hb, tlc, dlc, esr, sugar f & pp, uric acid, vit d3 urine r/e x ray of the affected part. Anyway you may try- sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If no relief in 4_5 days, then inform again. Unless diabetes is controlled, no treatment will work.

Dear lybrate-user, by now you must be knowing that unfortunately allopathic medical science has no cure for muscular dystrophy. It is dreadful disease which increases in intensity and severity with passage of time. The good news for you is that fortunately ayurveda has some hope of light in such cases. Ayurveda medicines along with panchakarma therapies (bio-purification) can give better results in it. These treatments also help in curbing the spread of the disease and also giving some relief in the existing painful signs and symptoms. Specific panchakarma treatments like - patra pinda pottali sweda, basti chikitsa, shali shashtika sweda are extremely beneficial procedures for patients of muscular dystrophy.
