My age is 23. Height 6 ft. Weight 76 kg. My question is that what are the early symptoms that an adrenal cancer 's patients suffer?

Hi lybrate-user, frequent urination, muscle weakness & cramps, whole body bone pain, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, weight gain, headache etc all are commonly seen. Above-mentioned apart, gynecomastia/ tenderness of breasts could also be seen in male members if there is excess of estrogen hormone produced in the body. This may also result in reduced sex drive/ impotency. On the other hand, an excess of androgen production could lead to excessive hair (body) growth, and also enlargement of the sex organs. Hope this clarifies. Sincerely,

Lump in axilla (armpit) is most probably a lymph node. It may be of infective origin. U must consult a surgeon. And he will guide you better. When in doubt it is better to get it excised.

Don't get panic it is most probably either infection or benign breast disease. Is there any history of fever or trauma? you should go for ultrasound of breast and examination by a surgeon.

If abnormalities in cbc is not mean cancer then what are these parameters in cbc or other tests which shows us that anybody have cancer.

M.Ch - Surgical Oncology, MS - General Surgery, MBBS

Tumor markers are a special set of blood tests that help in detecting early recurrences, but there is no one blood test that can diagnose a person with cancer. Please consult for further clarification.

In some cases the hcg test has been done for cancer diagnosis. Then in case of cancer what is the level of hcg.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Normally non pregnant women and men produce hcg and which is less 5 miu/ml..if it's higher than this then it is suspected as cancer.

My Mother age 75 has been detected breast cancer as per biopsy and was operated and removed left breast and sent for testing. Report says its a pT2 with grade 2. Er is positive 60% Pr is positive 1% and Her is negative. What does this mean. Will she over come it. What are the survival rates without chemo.

DNB, MBBS
Oncologist, Faridabad
Dear mam, She is having early breast cancer for which breast has been removed which is estrogen receptor positive, means she should be given hormonal therapy which will continue for minimum of five years. She doesn't need chemotherapy at this age if she is ER positive. Prognosis is good, don't worry.
