Calf stretches standing calf stretch stand away from a wall and put your fight foot behind you and be sure your toes are facing forward. Lean forward at the ankle while bending the right knee and keeping your heel on the ground. Hold this for 30 to 60 seconds. Repeat 10 times a twice a day.

Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Apply hot fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front.

First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Straight Leg Raise: Lie flat on your back. One leg and knee will be straight and other leg should be bent. Pull your toes towards you and tighten/clench the muscle on the front of the thigh, locking your knee straight. Lift your foot up in the air, about 6 inches off the bed. Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower the leg. The knee must remain straight the whole time you are doing this exercise.

My mother is a patient of osteoarthritis. And she has been taking calcimax Forte d3 for 5 years but she still feels the pain I am afraid if there is side effects of for taking this medicine for 5 years. Sir please suggest me about taking this medicine for for such long term.

For osteoarthritis taking only calcium supplements will not help, other factors are also to be taken into consideration, like her range of motion (joint movement should be good) muscle strength should be ok, no tightness or stiffness, so regular exercise under a physiotherapist and treatment helps to control the problem. Besides taking calcium her vitamin D levels should also be checked, she should be taking good omega 3 as per doctors advice.

Dear user, as you mentioned your weight, it is not suitable for your height, I suggest you to reduce it. Heat fermentation and back strengthing excercises reduces the pain.

I'm 21, 3 days before while I'm diving into swimming pool. I fell down. My spinal cord (one bone got crack and another bone got compressed) I have consulate a got. They said to wear a Taylor brace belt. Actually I'm wearing it. But they didn't gave a tablets. Its paining a lot. I don't know what to do.

You can go back to them to your surgeon regarding prescription for pain killers. I am sure they will prescribe a doze for you. Thankyou !

Hi Lybrate Users, When I am in office (air conditioning) feeling left ankle pain, leg numbness followed by tightening in chest. This is happening for last 4-5 months. All my cardiology report are perfect. In weekend I am perfectly fit. Also I do RUNNING and walking in the morning and feel completely fine. Once I go to office and sit for 2-3 hours I feel above problems. I do not have any stress at the job and I enjoy it.

Ankle pain. Our suggestion would be to do hot water fermentation along with Cold (ice) therapy. You shall also keep a pillow under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes.
