Backaches are a common health problem among middle-aged and elderly people, but at times young people also suffer from it. Some of the symptoms of a backache are pain in the back or around the hips, reduced flexibility of the spine and difficulty sleeping. Backaches can occur for many reasons such as muscle tension, improper diet, lack of physical activity, arthritis, excessive physical labor, poor sitting posture and pregnancy. A backache can make it difficult to carry out day-to-day activities. Natural treatments can provide quick relief from the pain and allow you to enjoy life again. Here are the top 10 home remedies for backache. 1. Ginger Ginger root, which is used to cure vomiting, can also be used in the treatment of back pain. The anti-inflammatory compounds in ginger can give you relief from a backache. Apply some ginger paste on the affected area, followed by eucalyptus oil.Cut thin slices of fresh ginger root and put them in a pan of boiling water. Simmer and boil it on low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature and strain it. Add honey and then drink it. You can drink this ginger tea two or three times a day for a few days or until you see improvement.You can also make an herbal tea with one-half teaspoon of black pepper corns, one-half teaspoon of cloves and one teaspoon of ginger powder. 2. Basil Leaves Basil leaves can also come to your rescue when suffering from a backache. Add 8 to 10 basil leaves to one cup of water and boil it until the water evaporates to half.Let it cool to room temperature and then add a pinch of salt.For mild pain, drink this concoction once daily; for severe pain, drink it twice daily. 3. Poppy Seeds Poppy seeds work wonders as remedy of backache. Grind together 100 gm each of poppy seeds (khus khus) and rock candy (misri).Consume two teaspoons of this mixture twice daily, followed by a glass of milk. 4. Herbal Oil Massaging your back with an herbal oil can help your muscles relax and relieve pain. You can use any herbal oil such as eucalyptus oil, almond oil, olive oil or coconut oil. Heat the oil until warm and massage it gently over the aching area. 5. Garlic Garlic is another ingredient that can help treat a backache. Simply eat two to three cloves of garlic every morning on empty stomach. You can also massage your back with garlic oil. To make garlic oil, heat some coconut oil, mustard oil or sesame oil on low heat and then add 8 to 10 cloves of garlic to it. Fry the garlic until it is brown. Strain the oil and let it cool to room temperature.Massage your back gently with the oil. Leave it on for some time and then take a bath in warm water. 6. Wheat Wheat has compounds that produce an analgesic effect that can help minimize pain. Soak a handful of wheat in water overnight.In the morning, mix in cuscus grass powder and coriander. Then add one cup of milk and boil it for a few minutes until it thickens.Drink the mixture twice daily. 7. Ice Packs Cold compresses made with ice are effective in reducing pain and swelling. If ice is not available, you can also use a bag of frozen vegetables. Put a bowl of crushed ice in a plastic bag and wrap it in a towel. Put the compress on the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes.Do this repeatedly, waiting half an hour between each application. You can also apply hot compresses to reduce backache. 8. Epsom Salt Epsom salt can ease pain and relieve inflammation. Mix Epsom salt with hot water to make a thick paste. Soak a towel in it and ring out any excess liquid from the towel. Put it on your back near and around the aching area. The heat from the towel will also reduce anyswelling.You can also add two cups of Epsom salt to your bathwater and soak your body in it for half an hour. 9. Chamomile Tea A hot cup of chamomile tea will help relax tense muscle tissues that can be the cause or a related symptom of a backache. You can buy pre-packaged chamomile tea or make your own. Add one tablespoon of chamomile flowers to one cup of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes.Drink one to three cups daily. 10. Milk Milk is a rich source of calcium that your body needs for strong bones and healthy muscles. Ensuring that your body gets an adequate amount of calcium can help alleviate and prevent backaches. Drink milk regularly. You can add some honey to sweeten it.You can also make a mixture of cuscus grass and sugar in equal amounts and consume it twice daily with a cup of warm milk. Quadriceps strengthening exercises- Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart. Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall

Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take BioD3 Max 1 tab dailyx10 Paracetamol 250mg OD & SOS x5days Do back(spine)/shoulder/knee exercises Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take Do not ignore it. Requires examination and investigation in detail. Presently investigations suggested: hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Hello lybrate user, pain at the site of accident that occurred in 2008 can be due to some occult intraarticular fracture i. E a fracture that occurred which was not detected, and was inside the joint. These types of injuries occasionally pain years later as arthritic changes occur in the joint. Need to see the x-ray of your hand in anteroposterior and oblique views. Till then use thumb spica for pain control and hot water fomentation twice thrice daily. God bless you.

Swollen foot is a abnormal finding, kindly furnish following to guide you well. 1- whether swelling is bilateral (both legs and elsewhere) 2-does it pit or leave impressions of a thumb, you may do small push with your right thumb against hard bones, probably shin bones. 3-does she has any lung /heart / kidney/liver related issue 4- what medication she is taking. 5-sometimes pain in joints or arthritis also produces pain with edema (swelling) osteopororsis in old age a regular feature ,on rare occasions extreme fragility and bedridden patient suddenly undergo spontaneous/stress fracture which may be evident to visiting doctor. Fever ,vomiting ,extreme pain, vertigo (giddiness) etc are sinister signs, if they are present consult a general physician asap. Good luck.

This could be due to lumbar spondylosis with nerve root compression. Control diabetes & rule outvit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos bio d3 max 1 tab od x 10 days you will need other supportive medicines also. Do back (spine) exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take you may have to use lumbosacral support for some time. Avoid painful act/activities. Take medicines as prescribed it may have to be further investigated. Do ask for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation piriformis stretch 1. Lie on your back. 2. Cross your left leg over your right so that your left ankle rests on your right knee. 3. Use your hands to grab hold of your left knee and pull it gently toward the opposite shoulder. 4. Hold for 15 to 30 seconds. 5. Relax, and then repeat with the other leg. 6. Repeat this cycle 2 to 4 times.

For eye irritation pl go for triphala kwath eye wash and other uses of triphala such as triphala ghrit. Back pain will be addressed by triphala ghrit and other vatnashak choorna such as hingwastak if used as per directions. Ten herbal roots kwath will eradicate it.

Hi I am suffering from foot pains my both foots are having extreme pain because of that it feels me lot of weight on my foots I had chikungunya 8 months back that time also I had pain in my foots. What medicine should I take 2 reduce the back pain & what measures should I take 2 prevent that in future.
This is a general low back ache and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try which will help you relax as well will reduce the pain. Ice can be kept in the low back where you have back pain. It is suggestible to wear Lumbo sacral belt which would help you to build the abdominal muscle tone which itself would make you feel better. You can also wear MCR Chappals which would help you to have less weight falling in the painful back.

Dear, *Turmeric and ginger are both anti-inflammatorys, and will help with oseto and rheumatoid arthritis. Turmeric in particular has gotten a lot of attention lately. Adhd there is no cure for attention deficit hyperactive disorderbut treatments can help relieve the symptoms and make the condition much less in day to day life adhd can be treated using medication or therapy but a combined of both is I often the best way to treat it a hdh. First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.
