Hye. Thanks for the query. Maintaining body weight is not a one time effort that you try, succeed or fail or drop the actions that take you there. You are what you eat. Your weight is nothing but a balance of how much you eat and how much you burn or exercise. Understanding this art of balance will make it easy to maintain your body weight. Walking, swimming, strength training as well as eating are all calorie burning processes. Along with this if you eat sensibly; then you will see the scales move. There is no short cut to losing weight. You have to eat the right foods at the right time. Eat small but frequent meals. Reduce your main meals by a small amount. Take a glass of lime water 10 minutes before meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. All the so called fad, crash diets, medicines, pills or supplements will only give you muscle and bone loss. The fats will remain as it is. So, lose that fat not muscle mass.

Lybrate-user, start with a salt and calorie restricted diet. Do moderate activities for at least 30 minutes per day. Avoid junk food and excessive caffeinated /alcoholic drinks. Monitor your blood pressure on a daily basis. Also do tests for thyroid, sugar and cholesterol. Report back if blood pressure remains on the higher side.

Ginger is a common ingredient in asian and indian cuisine. However, ginger has been used for its medicinal properties for centuries among many cultures. The root or underground stem (rhizome) of the ginger plant can be consumed fresh, powdered, dried as a spice, in oil form or as juice.

Possible health benefits of ginger:

1) Digestive issues:
The phenolic compounds in ginger are known to help relieve gastrointestinal irritation, stimulate saliva and bile production and suppress gastric contractions and movement of food and fluids through the GI tract.

2) Nausea

  • Chewing raw ginger or drinking ginger tea is a common home remedy for nausea during cancer treatment.
  • Pregnant women experiencing morning sickness can safely use ginger to relieve nausea and vomiting, often in the form of ginger lozenges or candies.
  • During cold weather, drinking ginger tea is good way to keep warm. It is diaphoretic, which means that it promotes sweating, working to warm the body from within. As such, in the wake of a cold, ginger tea is particularly useful.

3) Pain reduction

  • A study involving 74 volunteers carried out at the university of georgia found that daily ginger supplementation reduced exercise-induced muscle pain by 25%.
  • Ginger has also been found to reduce the symptoms of dysmenorrhea (severe pain during a menstrual cycle). In one study, 83% of women taking ginger capsules reported improvements in pain symptoms compared to 47% of those on placebo.

Hi. It's normal to loose up to 100 hair per day, and in most people, those hairs grow back. But many men -- and some women -- lose hair as they grow older. You can also lose your hair if you have certain diseases, such as thyroid problems, diabetes, or lupus. If you take certain medicines or have chemotherapy for cancer, you may also lose your hair. Other causes are stress, a low protein diet, a family history, use of bore water, or nutritional deficiencies. Need to rule out any causative factor or underlying medical condition. Management: Take diet rich in protein like non-veg, eggs (it's loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, vitamin b12, iron, zinc and omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts and biotin), different pulses & legumes, sprouts, nuts (sp. Walnuts and almonds); iron-rich food like green vegetables, dates, carrots, prunes, green peas; also oats, shrimp, take flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, green tea, soyabean, fruits, salads, etc. Take low-fat dairy products (they also contain whey and casein, two high-quality protein sources) take proper 6-9hrs of sound sleep. Give up the habit of smoking and excessive alcohol intake. Avoid junk food and any kind of beverages (tea, coffee, aerated drinks, cold drinks, etc.) avoid canned/ tinned food or food that contains preservatives (eat fresh ones). Avoid use of hard water to wash the head rather use boiled water for head wash. Avoid use of harsh hair colour, hair treatment like rebonding, straightening, perming, etc. Avoid vigorous exercises or any supplements provided by the gym! cover your head with scarf or cap while stepping outside. Use rose wood/ any wooden hair comb to brush your hair. Regular exercising is also one of the important point, but should be done under some good, qualified yoga teacher or instructor for proper guidance; it also releases the stress/ tension in the mind and the body and keeps you fit and young! Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe's Wiesbaden 200 & Alfalfa tonic twice a day for 1 month and revert. Use Schwabe's Arnica shampoo and Hair Growth oil regularly as per the condition of your scalp (minimum 3 times a week). After shampooing, use Bakson's Arnica hair conditioner as well after every head wash.

I have done angiogram due to pain in my heart which was continuous. After angio doctor says I have a bridge in lad about 15 mm due to which I am getting pain. Now I am taking angizem 90 dp and corolan in the morning and night respectively. My pain did not come down even after 1 month and increasing instead of reduction. What should I do is there a remedy?

Tab. Keraglo men once daily for 3 months. Qilib men solution 6-8 sprays once daily. Increase protein diet. Green leafy vegetables. Anaphase shampoo / vichy dercos energising (anti- hair loss) shampoo. Test- hemoglobin, thyroid function test.

Hello, Doing exercises regularly will not only cut down your belly fat, but also you will get a body in good shape and you will be get rid of many diseases related to it! Following exercises will help you to achieve this if you don’t have any other medical condition: 1. The Plank - Lie down on your tummy and then come on your palms and toes. Lift the knees off the floor. Draw your tummy muscles up and breathe deeply into the side and back of the rib cage. Aim to hold the pose for 30 seconds. 2. Static Tiger pose - Place your hands and knees on the floor. This is the starting position. Now lift up one leg and extend the opposite arm. Hold this Static Tiger Pose for 3 deep breaths. Come back to the starting position and swap sides, extending arm and opposite leg. You can look down towards the mat to keep the spine in line. This exercise will build core strength. 3. Sitting Spinal Twist - Sit on the floor and cross your legs. Place one hand next to your hip and the other on the knee. Rotate the spine and look over one shoulder into a Sitting Spinal Twist. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. Swap sides, rotating and looking over the shoulder. Inhale. Exhale back to centre. 4. Stomach Crunches - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Place your hands on your thighs, across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your knees until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 stomach crunches. 5. Oblique Crunch - Lie on your back, knees bent and feet flat on the floor, hip-width apart. Roll your knees to one side down to the floor. Place your hands across your chest or behind your ears. Slowly curl up towards your hips until your shoulders are about three inches off the floor. Hold the position for a few seconds and lower down slowly. Perform 12 oblique crunches and repeat on the opposite side. Medication: Start taking Schwabe's Phytolacca Berry tablets/ thrice daily 1/2 an hr before meals for 1 month. Thereafter revert me back for further guidance. All the best!

Regularly I spent my 2 hours on exercise for a lean body but I'm get too much tired after exercise and I also want to increase my exercise time but my energy level is almost down after 1 hour during exercise. I also reduce my diet and leave oily and high calories food and start eating fruits and vegetables. But still i'm feeling weakness, so I start using isolate protein whey (product name :- humabolic iso 100) I take its one scoop with a glass of water before the half an hour of exercise, it gives an excellent result to me but after using it 4-5 days, there are some acne on my face and I have doubt that the cause of these acne is the whey protein. Please tell me any solution how to prevent these pimples.

Hello, Timing is equally important for exercise. Its not how much time you give but also the quality of workouts which are done. May be the exercise done is not giving away positive results. Whey protein is the most commonly used supplement, but it's action get ineffective if not taken with balanced diet. Serving only on fruits and vegetables won't help you. A proper proportion of carbohydrates, proteins and even fats are important to keep you fit and lean. Drink plenty of water, and you might be right by saying acne could be because of the supplement. Clean eating is important, not eating less.

Hi lybrate-user, if its depression you can start off medicine with a psychiatrist. Clearing ssc may be your goal but thats not the last thing to look forward in life, always keep a back up, I am sure there are umpteen no. Jobs that you can be selected for, so work hard but don't be disheartened you are worthy of everything, feel confident, failure success are part of life what matters I how we handle it, give your best shot if it does not work out just switch to something you like or career of your choice other than this. Take psychotherapy from a psychologist. Consult for same. All the best.

Hi, Be happy and make others a part of this happiness too! Including healthy, nutritious food, doing daily yoga or some kind of exercises. It automatically is reflected on your face. Yes, the colour which is inherited from your parents/ ancestors, cannot be changed, but you can try to get glow on your face! Daily Regime: Apart from these, you do follow CTMP, i. E. Cleansing, toning, moisturising and protection (apply liberally sunscreen with SPF-30 – a thick layer of Bakson's Suncare cream may be, 20-30 minutes before going out daily and repeat it's application after every 3-4hrs.) after washing your face daily; use the products as per your skin type. This will change the skin texture and skin tone. In case you do have tanning, apply honey with a dash of lime on your face. Eat right and healthy that too on time, relieve your stress/ tensions, sleep well, stop smoking, as this restricts blood flow to your face and leaves you with a greyish complexion. Lead a healthy lifestyle! Apart from this, avoid anger, anxiety, fear which increases stress hormone in the body and subsequently makes your complexion darker! (Hormonal imbalances also plays a major role). If the dull and dark skin tone is due to any underlying ailment or diseases, need to look into the matter. Diet: -Increase your Vitamin C intake (lemon, orange, gooseberry, etc. Fruits/juices, strawberries, sweet peppers, tomatoes, can notaloupe, and green peas). - Eat more Vitamin A (nonfat milk, oysters, and egg yolks, carrots, watermelon, papaya, tomatoes, or other dark colored produce). If you feel your skin is weak or not tight enough, that usually suggests a lack of Vitamin A. Medicine: Use homoeopathic cream - Medicynth's Whitch Hazel or Bakson’s Fairness cream daily at night. Home remedies: Apply fresh-squeezed lemon juice to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes And then wash it off with lukewarm water. After this, rub cucumber slices on your skin to soften and moisturize it. Do this daily or every other day. Another option is squeeze the juice of one-half lemon and mix one to two tablespoons of raw honey in it. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off.

Flat foot at times causes pain. But we must rule out other causes as well rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Physiotherapy usually helps any way take paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days you will need other supportive medicines also. For your dreams you need to consult a psychiatrist who does dream analysis (not all do). Do not feel guilty about masturbation, Masturbation is a very healthy form of sexual outlet, do not feel guilty about it. Nearly 99% of men and more than 60% of women masturbate. It starts from adolescence and goes on in some people even till death. The pleasure (orgasm) from masturbation is said to be unique from sexual intercourse. In men, most of the liquid contains only water and some fructose and hormones. Hence it does not drain your energy. Many equate masturbation/ seminal fluid loss to lack of energy, impotency and so on. Many quacks, religious heads and pseudo healers also propagate the idea that masturbation is a disorder/ and wrongful behavior and instill fear on the mind of innocent men and women (we can see posters in train and bus stand, offering help for this behavior).
