Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. Since you are pregnant, we will not be able to advise medications to you and you are also due for delivery in 4-6 weeks time. You can do: - ice packs at home 3-4 times in a day - local analgesic spray over knee for application - exercises for strengthening of your quadriceps and hamstring muscles can be done as well. You need to tell me whether there is any associated swelling, redness or warmth over the affected knee as well? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

Back Pain . Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching.

Once while playing I had a injury in my knee, I recovered but it still pains sometimes.

Kindly show me digital x rays of affected part (knee) rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area contrast fomentation (hot and cold).

Do take ift and laser therapy for 12 days followed by strengthening and stretching exercises from neuro physiotherapist apply hot and cold water fomentation for thrice a day for 10 days regularly do revert for further assistance best wishes.

Requires detailed investigation and examination hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar fasting & pp, uric acid vit d xray of the affected part. Anyway you may try sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick mattress are harmful use no pillow under the head do hot fomentation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck back knee & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. Do not ignore it. Let it not become beginning of a bigger problem. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, inform.

Backpain at your age can be due to lot of causes. Mostly long sitting activities can lead to weakness of back and neck muscles resulting in pain. You should do back muscle strengthening exercises and postural adjustment. Hot bag and diclofenac gel are also useful use vitamin d supplements if long standing symptoms are there then you need to be investigated. Get x rays of lumbosacral spine and show.

I am a 37 year old male, suffering from pain in both ankles, sometime shifting, pain aggravates when remain sitting for longer duration (sitting job), my current uric acid level is 7.3. Please suggest.

Take tablet zyloric 100 daily with pirox dttwice daily. Stop pirox after 1 week and continue zyloric till uric acid levels come to less than 5. Zyloric can be increased to 300 mg per day. No non vegetarian food. Limit dairy products. Take a low protein diet. Go for walk when pain subsides.

Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

I am 47 years old, male. Last one month I am facing a pain in my both feet. Sometimes it pinches. Generally I have pain in both of leg since 2 years but it is not any bone related mainly muscles related. If I stretch my legs it gives relief. What I should do? Pinching kind of pain can also be due to nerve problems and yes muscle tightness too. So, I suggest you to be regular with your stretching exercises. Like calf stretch, foot stretches, plantar fascia stretch and try contrast bath too. Contrast bath therapy, also known as" hot/cold immersion therapy" is a form of treatment where the feet is immersed in warm water for 3 minutes followed by the immediate immersion of the foot/feet in cold water for 3 minutes. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. This helps in improving blood circulation and help relieves pain. Also in addition to the above mentioned treatment, get yourself tested for vit b12 and vit d deficiency as these can also be the cause of such pain.

It depends which part of the elbow is involved, is it the outer part, inner part or at the back of the elbow which is troubling you? also can you recall the cause of onset of this pain, whether there is any associated swelling or any other s/s of inflammation like skin redness, local warmth etc also present? what investigations have been done and what treatment is going on? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. You need to change your sitting pattern at work. Please ensure you take breaks after every one and half hour, walk around and get back to work. Also your chair height should be adjusted so that your hips and knees are at 90 degrees to each other and your feet in contact with ground. The height of your consumer screen should be such that it's centre is right in line with your eyes to avoid excess stress on your neck. Also start some form of daily activity for 45 mins to maintain the flexibility.
