Dear, stuttering or stammering could be due to two reasons. One is physiological where vocal chords are involved. Speech therapy is the remedy for that. Second is psychological issues. Stammering therapy should be a treatment option along with awareness and counseling. Take care.

Hi lybrate-user. No treatment for vaginismus is possible without an examination and therapy. However persistent pressure for treatment at times psychological trauma which deters the patient from visiting the doctor even more. I suggest first you relieve of her anxiety. Take her to a psychologist who can prescribe her medicines for anxiety. Sometimes in some cases anti anxiety medicines in itself treat the vaginismus. You never know, it might actually do the trick.

It's not uncommon and happens with most of enthusiastic people of your age. Simply do pranayam, meditation and eat light non spicy food. Keep gut clean by tarunikusumakar chooran. After two weeks of all this, pl get best quality raw herbs like jatamansi, shankhpushpi, brahmi etc processed and prepared in high antioxidants herb juices. This will work as antidepressants and brain toners.

I am 24 years old male, engineer, suffering from neurocysticercosis and under minimum medicine dosage of levipil 250 twice daily. I came to Delhi for coaching and staying at my uncle's house along with his family. Mother is also staying with me only. Two days earlier there was a discussion or exaggeration regarding a topic on household activities was going among my cousins who are now matured parents and my aunt which indirectly hurt my sentiments very much but still I kept clam but I was not able to sleep that night I was feeling a hotness inside or can be said as sense of fever kind of thing. The next day another topic started but my uncle who likes criticising people did pinched me again with a sentence but still I didn't give any harsh reply but I just told him a very very practical reason that he couldn't continue with his superiority complex anymore. Next day he told my mom in my absence that he was hurt now as my mom conveyed me this still I am ready to apologize to him eventhough I have not done any mistake. But from yesterday night I again felt that heat sensation inside my body, a fever like feeling ears are hot headache behind and right side of head and eyes are red. Is it related to stress or may be some disease as dengue season is going on. Please help.

Hi lybrate-user, Getting easily agitated and angry is not only troublesome for you, but harmful for relationships. Your underlying cause can be unraveled by a competent counselor/doctor. Do not expect that with time this will disappear on its own. It can only aggravate with time. Either meet a counselor personally or at least seek consultations on phone at the earliest. Best wishes

Hi , Depression require medical attention – seek out your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. It is normal to have small amounts of sadness or depression, and they manifest themselves in different ways. Or maybe you’ve experience a loss and it’s totally normal to feel sad and grieve. In those cases, if you don’t feel sad, you’re probably not processing an emotion so you can let it go. However, sometimes sadness and depression persist. When this happens, some people feel lethargic, others tearful, or maybe you just lack your normal level of motivation. Or maybe it manifests as irritability or even numbness. Whatever it is, at the end of the day, it saps your performance and makes you feel less Bulletproof.

I am unable to concentrate on my studies. So give me any tips to how to get concentrate.

Stress is not a good indicator for studies. Because of your age you may have hormonal imbalances which may impact your memory because of the chemical but also the distractions that come with it. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling too.

Please check with your gynecologist before trying any of the recommendations mentioned here. Eat a healthy diet: avoid spicy foods, caffeine (in tea, coffee, cola, etc), smoking, and alcohol that may trigger hot flushes. Spicy, hot foods and beverages intensify the hot flashes. Eat a diet that includes foods rich in calcium and vitamin D, drink a pint of milk a day; plus eat 60 g (2 oz) hard cheese, such as Cheddar or Edam, or one pot of yoghurt (125 g), or 60 g of sardines. White bread and calcium-fortified soya milk are also good sources of calcium. The following have been marketed for menopausal symptoms: black cohosh, red clover, dong quai, evening primrose oil, ginseng, soy, and kava. Wearing light-weight clothing, sleeping in a cooler room, and reducing stress may reduce the number of hot flushes. Exercise daily: The best activity is regular sustained aerobic exercise, such as regular swimming or jogging. Do yoga or meditation too. The relaxation techniques of yoga can teach you how to suppress part or all of your body's response to hot rushes. Manage stress: Stress can make menopause symptoms much worse. Include humor and laughter in your life. Laughing is good medicine. Get together with friends that are funny. Watch comedies. These are also very helpful: massage therapy, aromatherapy, and acupuncture. These can help handle most problems of menopause.
