I'm carrying a very bad since 10-12 years i.e. Masturbation. I do it regularly, sometimes more than once. It makes me tired and I feel psychologically guilty. Hello friends, this is Dr Richa Gupta here, I am a practising gynaecologist in Ramesh Nagar New Delhi. Today I will tell you something about polycystic ovarian disease, this you must know from some of your friends or through the magazines or internet and as I should tell you that this is a very prevalent gynaecological hormonal disorder nowadays. It is very common in young's adolescent girls and it may range up to the old females also that is up to 40 years and at every stage of your reproductive life, it causes major problems in your gynaecological life career, ok. Now what are the main causes if any girl is obese, if she is having a lot of junk food, if she is not doing exercise, she is physically very unfit. Then these various causes are the most prone to the Polycystic ovarian disease, what it leads, it may cause Oligomenorrhea that is skipping of your normal menstrual cycles for from one or two periods to more than three periods. That is I mean you may have only up to 4 cycles per year. Now, the second thing is that you may have other hormonal change that is acne, you may have increased hair growth on your face, on your upper abdomen, on your thighs these are all due to the Polycystic ovarian disease. So how can you cure this, the basic cause is that in today's lifestyle you girls have no of the physical and mental stress, you are more inclined towards the junk food and there is a very less physical activity or I must say the lack of physical activity including meditation and yoga. You must include all these things include the green vegetables, citrus fruits and coloured vegetables also and you must include physical fitness in your regime. This will eventually cause a shift from bad hormones to the good hormones and thus you will be experiencing a shift from Oligomenorrhea that is the less menstrual cycle to your regular periods. And yes, of course, you must see of Gynaecologist as well because without her help you cannot get back to your normal menstrual cycle if they are the causes of if the symptoms of the Polycystic ovarian disease.
