When I drink cold water my teeth pain. What can i do?
Hi You have sensitivity problem in your tooth. It can be due to some conditions like enamel erosion because of bruxism, hard brushing , caries and after an orthodontic treatment. You need to be investigated properly to find out the cause of sensitivity. Apply Thermoseal RA toothpaste leave for 2 minutes rub and rinse. Try this one month. If you are not getting relief you can go to dentist. Doctor will cover the exposed area with aesthetic restorative materials.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with desensitizing/ whitening procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. You may consult me in person too. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

I am 21 years old female. I had white filling done on my right molar tooth. It already had a silver filling but since the walls broke off for support I got new filling done on 23/10/15. There was no pain until last night 24/10/15 it started aching and I had to wake up. It feels constantly throbbing and has become hyper sensitive to air and pressure. Should I get it refilled or its just healing?

The way you are describing your pain, clearly indicates that the nerve inside the nerve is infected. Visit your dentist immediately and take X ray and start a root canal treatment and later cap should be done.

This sir is most probably due to weakening of bone support and gums.Which is why you are having gaps.I suggest sir that you consult your local dentist for thorough cleaning and oral prophylaxis, check for cavities , use fluoride toothpastes. And mouthwashes. Also regularly please floss your teeth with dental floss.

I am regularly brushing my teeth then also its not enough white. What should I do.?

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
I am regularly brushing my teeth then also its not enough white. What should I do.?
There are several causes of tooth discoloration, including: foods/drinks. Coffee, tea, colas, wines, and certain fruits and vegetables (for example, apples and potatoes) can stain your teeth. Tobacco use. Smoking or chewing tobacco can stain teeth. Poor dental hygiene. Inadequate brushing and flossing. Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

The stains can be removed by scaling and polishing. For whitening the tooth, you might require bleaching. But you need to quit smoking and tobacco chewing or this will happen again.

Dear anoop ulcer is a painful condition .before treatment you must know the reason of the disease and than treatment can proceed . Avoid eating spicy, oily foods and hot beverages. Include fresh fruits containing vitamin C and raw vegetables as part of your diet. Avoid eating candy, chewing gum and aerated drinks. Avoid eating hard foods, Include fresh yogurt, buttermilk, cottage cheese and other dairy products in your diet. Maintain good oral hygiene. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush when brushing your teeth. gargle your mouth alternating with hot and chilled water or apply ice on the part where you have the ulcer. That will reduce the swelling. Chew a few basil or tulsi leaves along with some water for about three to four times every day. This will help the ulcers go away faster. Apply little honey onto the mouth ulcer or mix in a little turmeric to make a paste that can be applied to the affected area. Honey helps to retain moisture and prevent dehydration. It also helps reduce scarring and hastens the process of new tissue growth. Reduce your stress levels by doing an activity that you find relaxing, such as yoga, meditation or exercise. Use a saline rinse Mix a teaspoon or two of salt with a warm glass of water. You can also substitute salt with a pinch of baking soda. Hold the saline solution in your mouth, and swish from side to side. Gargle and spit the solution into the sink. Repeat a few times a day. It's a good idea to do it again after meals and before you go to bed. apply glycerine on ulcers and use ointment benzocaine in case of pain .
