TOTAL CHOLESTEROL :173, HDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT: 31,TRIGLYCERIDES: VLDL CHOLESTEROL. What does it indicate?
Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned you are slightly overweight and HDL chol should be more than 40 so discuss with your dietitian to make a plan for it and do regular exercise. Regarding prescription medications you can discuss with your Doctor about - a) ALLSLIM-120 MG after every meal b) ABITOR-F-once a day Do follow few lifestyle modifications like this - 1) Do exercise regularly. You need to get 300 minutes of moderate-intensity activity a week to prevent weight gain. Moderately intense physical activities include fast walking and swimming. 2) Do follow a healthy eating plan. Focus on low-calorie, nutrient-dense foods, such as fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid saturated fat and limit sweets and alcohol. Eat three regular meals a day with limited snacking. 3) Monitor your weight regularly. Monitoring your weight can tell you whether your efforts are working and can help you detect small weight gains before they become big problems. Hope that helps.

Dear lybrate-user. Welcome to lybrate. Repetition of some activities till getting satisfied is not a mental disorder. For example, people check the door lock repeatedly, check the switches, check the doors of cars repeatedly etc. These are considered normal activities. If you have something more than this, and if the repetition manifests tension or anxiety within you, then it could be obsessive compulsive disorder.

Premature greying is greying before the age of 30 yrs. After that it is physiological change. It is mainly genetic by nature. Apart from that stress, nutritional deficiency, thyroid problem increases it. Treatment is available but need to check the extent of greying. Protein rich food like sprouts, beans, nuts are good for hair. Drink 3 lit of water/day. Consult trichologist for treatment.

I am a 21 year old girl. I have got a bloated big belly. Can you please suggest me a diet chart to get a slim belly? ...
Hye. Thank you for your query. The pinchable fat is soft belly fat, also known as subcutaneous fat, acts as insulation and a source of energy for your body. The fat you can see and grab, the kind that hangs over your waistline, is soft subcutaneous fat. Ninety percent of the fat on your body is subcutaneous fat. While you can accumulate this type of fat by eating more calories than your body burns, there's a genetic and hormonal connection as well. Too much fat is harmful for the body. A diet filled with refined carbs, such as white bread packaged foods and junk, snack foods, is associated with increased subcutaneous belly fat. Thirty minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise -- like a fast-paced walk or low-impact aerobics -- most days of the week helps you lose the belly flab. Alos, don't forget strength-training. You can't spot reduce, but you can tone and tighten your belly. While crunches and planks can help the abdominal area, include exercises that work all your major muscles -- arms, back, shoulders, glutes and legs is import for balance. Making the right food choices can also help you lose subcutaneous fat. Limit your intake of the refined carbs linked to belly fat. So, skip the white bread, packaged cereals, sugary cereals, biscuits, sweets and soda, and, instead, eat more whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Enjoy healthy sources of protein such as poultry, lean beef, fish, eggs, soy, beans, low-fat dairy, and fats such as olive oil, vegetable oil, nuts and seeds. Eating healthy foods is critical to reduce belly fats.
